Am having a complex situation with my ice machine, i fix my ice machine because am into electric and mechanical engineering, so i use video on RUclips from the company to fix most things,but this time am have some delicate issue, once i put on my ice machine, water is draining out right then inlet valve release water right then few minutes after the surface is well ice water drop right i guess thats how its rightly supposed to work but in my situation after water drain out, inlet valve won't drop water, at first i that the inlet valve is bad so i replaced it yet same situation, dont know where the problem is from, i checked the inlet valve manually and it drop water from tap and the tap water pressure is normal no much pressure or less. What might be the issues, board or valve or the water pump because i recently changed it, and the pump i go was not the same make due to the limitations of my country, so i replace it with another company water pump, and it worked for about a month then that issue of inlet valve not dropping water. Pls urgent help

Just finished cleaning two KM-410's and it's a long day when done right. Hosihzaki machines are the Rolls Royce of Ice Machines, but maintenance is very important and over time will save you more than the cost of a new machine. My facility has a KM-500MWE that is 30 years old and still going strong. Owners, spend the money on quality maintenance for your refrigeration equipment - it WILL pay you back.

how do you access the controller board

Simply unbalance pressure, amount of refrigerant and oil return differently between evaporators. You just have to make sure velocity inside each evap suction line is the same between them.

I like zynect, wifi or LORA comms. It can't be hardwired one serious con of them. But they do include battery monitor in the GUI so you can change them out. LORA is pretty essential in commercial buildings unless you set up AP's all thru the building.

I have a Hoshizaki KM-201BAH that I want to sell because it's too small. I have a hot dog trailer and I need a machine that has a bin that can hold at least a 300 pounds. I'm looking at a Hoshizaki KM-350MAJ. Any thoughts on this? I hear Hoshizaki uses stainless steel internal parts and my current machine never had a problem. How are Fosters and Manitowoc brands compared to Hoshizaki?

You have to have the machine on and the board beeping before you push the button. If you push it while the toggle switch is in the off position nothing will happen.

We have a brand new nxt ice machine. Someone broke one of the screw on the top to keep the door sealed. Would that stop the machine from making ice?

We have a Hoshizaki cube star. we give it RO water only and clean it every 3 monts its 18 years old and still going strong!

And how many gallons does it take to fill up the bin completely? How much energy (electricity cost) does it use in a month? What was the installation like for these machines? For example, the COOLLIFE Ice Maker? Do you need a water filter in line? Is there maintenance required.. for example, how often do you have to clean it? How do you select the water supply (i.e. top bottle or water line)?

I noticed ours saying 'machine off' ..with the outer circle ⭕ red. Long story short we tripped the circuit breaker and it came back on. We probably didnt hold the power button long enough nor unplug for that long. 👍🏽. No idea why it went off. Thx

Hello.. i have the problem every two days! I have to keep reseting it!! Any idea what keeps setting it off!

THERE IS A WAY TO FIX IT. We have done it here at Brooks Industries in Oklahoma City for 30 years. Just remove the cube guide in the bottom then slide a piece of unistrut down through the evap. Have the open side of the unistrut against the top of the evap so it won't smash the fin. Then just pull it to bend the evap back in shape. You might have to straighten the spot where the unistrut made contact with needle nose so the water guides will fit back. Pretty simple, I have done it hundreds of times, no big deal.

Thanks for posting. Really interesting to see how the evaporator looks after it's bent. i just warned my client about this problem last week. They had a malfunctioning bin switch that caused the ice to back up. The machine was also way over due for a cleaning.

Danny, good morning. It's great that you're doing this, and thank you for sharing your view on the potential longevity of an ice machine down here in the hill country. I know that our clients aren't overly fond of the qualifiers ('depends on filtration,' 'depends on the quality of the maintenance team,' 'depends on treatment of the equipment by location personnel.') We (at Advanced Refrigeration) would much prefer to get in there on a reliable maintenance plan than to replace evaps and equipment.......particularly now that parts' arrival is so up in the air.
