I've never heard of this tool thanks for showing it. This looks like a great tool to collect live data and error codes from a variety of trucks all packaged in one. im definitely going to look into buying one of these.
Just keep in mind it’s not all the same for every forklift. Some makes and models have more information then others. It all depends on what you work on the most. As of right now, it’s worked great for hysters/Yale
@@theforkliftguy yeah im going to research it some more. I mainly work on crown, toyota, cat/nissan/mitsubishi, and yale/hyster. hopefully youll have some more videos working with it on those lifts.
Great I didnt even know there is a universal diagnostic tool for forklifts. Can you calibrate sensors with it Like the tilt sensor on Linde H series forklifts?
@@theforkliftguy awesome! Yeah heard they don't have a obd2 port anymore and can't access through the dash anymore... (nissan unicarriers went that route as well. smh...) Definitely keep us posted on the hyundias as well..
To a CAT, yes. It gives codes and you can erase codes but nothing else really. At least on the model I worked on. I haven’t had a chance to use it on mitsu and Komatsu/nissan yet. I’ll upload a video as soon as I do.
I have yet to try on an electric hyster but the software has a ton of electric hyster models on here. I’m sure it should work. I don’t know how well it will work though until I try it on one myself. I’ll keep you posted
@@theforkliftguy yes please do so that’ll be very appreciated. I work in an industrial plant and we have a bunch of electric Hyster stand up models and order pickers . It’s kind of frustrating coming from automotive and heavy equipment where you have all the diagnostic software or disposal to a world where everything is highly proprietary and having no way of thoroughly diagnosing and given your management a definitive answer. The Hyster dealer that we use one guy told me there is a customer version available of Hyster software. The GM for those dealer said absolutely not
@@CampingNstuff yeah it’s so dumb. I hate how the dealers don’t want to give out any information at all when it comes to material handling. Jaltest is the best we got right now and it’s up and coming.
Definitely glad I saw this. Kit sucks. For 6k you have about 1/4 of things you can do. And in all reality 90% you can pull a code from most trucks and once you get that you have another 90 percent chance you can find code off internet, or groups.
You might be right. It’s been helpful to me though. I also work on a lot of different equipment. From pallet jacks all the way to telehandlers. To each its own, but yeah the price isn’t really justifiable.

Yes, it works on any crown truck that has a Curtis controller. I’ll try to use it on a crown as soon as I can and I’ll try to make a video on it for you.
It depends where you buy it from. I bought mine from diesel laptops. I already had my own laptop, so it was around $6000 with the connectors and the program. Mind you it also includes the license and it’s good for a year. So after a year you’ll have to renew the license, I just charge my customer a diagnostic fee. I have to use my laptop and the software.
First of all, thank you very much, you are something special today You have shown the work
Thank you!
greeting from indonesian's forklift mechanic, thanks for the knowledge!
My pleasure!

It works with komatsu forklift?
I’m not sure. Never had to use it with Komatsu.
Cool video 👍👍 is there any type of software for 7FBCU55 or 45 electric style Toyota forklifts that I can connect with like this Jaltest kit?
No, unfortunately no. You have to use the display menu
@@theforkliftguy I’ve seen codes on the display screen but where can I look these up if possible?
@@steelcrusher you would need the service manual or Google the code. That’s what I do

I can’t tell you 100% if it does or doesn’t, I haven’t used Jaltest with a Linde H series forklift yet. I’ll let you know if I do
@@theforkliftguy Great thanks looking forward to it
