If we had have just loaded a tune file into this D-Max & sent the customer on his way without the use of a dyno or without carrying out the pre-tune inspection (like so many "tuners" do), there would have been all sorts of issues.
This video highlights the importance of pre-tune inspections, which are carried out by us prior to tuning every single video that comes through our workshops.
In an industry that is swamped with "load & go" tune files, or "dyno power run tunes" (which are when the workshop has a dyno, but they buy a tune file from elsewhere, load it into your ECU & just do power runs on the dyno to give you a power & torque output graph - so they didn't actually tune the vehicle) - be careful with who you choose to "custom dyno tune" your vehicle!
