    When I was around 8, I got this really adorable stuffed animal at one of the Disney stores, and without me even asking, the cashier gave my stuffed animal a little free button that was celebrating being my new friend. I was so happy and that cashier made my day so much better and made something that is so memorable for me! To this day, the stuffed animal still wears the birthday button. Thank you Disney for being Disney!

    Free first aid and water are really more of a legal requirement than a perk. I don’t think Disney should get a round of applause for doing the bare minimum for their guests. Especially if they hide it or make it not obvious that it is free. All theme parks have to do this otherwise they could be held legally responsible for injuries that occur on property.

      u would be surprised how hard it was to found waterfountains in universal. And they didnt even have cups wtf. Disneys way better.

    • @kittykittylicization
      @kittykittylicization 2 года назад +9

      The legal standard for providing water is pretty low. It has to simply be available over a certain distance. This says nothing about quality, ease of use, or convenience. Having water IN LINE and in spots that dont inconvenience the experience is certainly a step above and beyond what is required and a HUGE bonus.
      Same goes for medical assistance.

    • @monhi64
      @monhi64 2 года назад +1

      @@akshatghoshal6098 lol you’re making that whole decision on cup availability? Isn’t universal way cheaper anyway, disregarding a cup

      Yeah they have to but Disney's is really good and easy to find if you just keep your eyes open. I mean there aren't giant signs plasterd all over the park that say First Aid this way but they are hardly hidden.

    Speaking of scavenger hunts…when my sister was very young she found EPCOT boring, so to keep her entertained my dad asked a cast member from each world showcase country how to say “cat” in their native language. He would write the word down in the of her autograph book along with pronunciation and native characters. Simple, but an ingenious way to keep her entertained!

      This is exactly what came to mind the second I read the video title.
      We’re going next month because I’ve wanted to go to the 50th since the 25th. Instead of Magicbands and luggage tags, they mailed us a giant EARidecent sticker, and nice card stock letting us know about our resort and what we could do. It didn’t even have our name on it. They knew what resort we were staying at, but mailed it to “Guest.” All I could think about was why on earth they mailed this to us. How much money was this? If they wanted to save money, why even bother mailing it in the first place?

    1:20 Spending your birthday at Universal Studios Florida currently. Went there in 2018 for birthdays and had the best time! No rush, no extra fees, no super-insanely-crowded parks, just a nice, exciting and relaxing week at Universal. This whole Disney mess looks the opposite of nice & relaxing.
    I've seen almost nothing at Disney that's "free" that would entice me to go so far. I can make (or at least try) a lot of those foods at home, movie nights at home, the first aid & free water is actually required by law, the Wifi is better at home, I'm rather sugar intolerant and don't much soda really and I'd prefer to keep my luggage with me and not have anxiety about other people touching my stuff.
    Thanks to YT, I almost feel like I've been to Disney World without having to leave home! The parades, the fireworks, the holiday celebrations (especially Halloween), the shows, I don't feel like I've missed out on a bunch. This channel is pretty darn cool too.

    I'm not sure if this is possible in updated hotels, but a great workaround for wifi charges is to buy your own portable router, like a HooToo, then plug it into the ethernet port in a room (assuming one still exists - hence the comment about updated hotels), and set up your own network. It works great.
    I was in a Vegas hotel once that wanted to charge PER DEVICE for internet access. I paid for one point of access, set up my own network, and treated the place like my own apartment. I was even able to set up a Chromecast.

    A lot of these, if not most, aren't actually free, though, their cost was built in when pricing something you already had to pay for. Other times, you might not have to pay beforehand, but the free offering will almost guarantee you'll consume/purchase something, so it ends up being a profit for Disney. But this is standard business practice, not exclusive to Disney.

    I think it should be clarified that these ARE NOT FREE - they are included in the cost. Except for the free admission and buffet for kids under 3. And as far as birthday freebies they come from third party vendors and are NOT in the parks. There is absolutely NO guarantee that you’ll get anything for free when you wear a button. I’ve been in queues where 90% of the people are wearing a button for something. It’s a sad day when we’re supposed to get excited that you can park for free in a shopping center. I can park for free at the mall at home, too. They want people to shop and dine, charging for parking would deter people from spending hundreds of dollars at Disney Springs instead of going to the discount and warehouse shops and offsite restaurants. This title is pretty misleading.

      I know exactly what you mean. I will be leaving Perth on Feb. 11th to visit the US, Disneyland and WDW and I'm an ABSOLUTE Disney pro and watch LOTS of channels and know all the tips and *I* am STRESSED OUT to the MAX. I've been trying to book DL restaurants 60 days in advance and make sure I get on just before the opening time for reservations (which is thankfully in the afternoon here) and I cannot even get into the app - it's SO congested! I also think it's partly because I am in another country/hemisphere and, if so, that is SO unfair. I'll see how I go but I'm thinking this will MOST DEFINITELY be my last trip to the US parks, if not the US itself.

      I think it is 100% worth it. Yes it can be stressful but any time you notice your getting stressed out convince yourself that your excited. If you are able to make the planning process fun and go with the flow you will have an amazing vacation

    Not really free, these are things that come with the price of a ticket. It’s like saying the rides are free. ( if you don’t pay extra to ride them). And when you have to include wake-up calls as a free perk, it’s stretching things pretty thin. Disney is an expensive vacation . I think if you live nearby and are a pass holder it can be a relatively affordable . Otherwise you have to decide if it’s worth the price of a trip to Europe .

    I don't think any of these can really be described as free (apart from maybe the Disney Springs parking) when you have to buy a super expensive park ticket to qualify.

      My thoughts exactly, the cost for these things is already built into the price of the ticket or nightly rate at the resorts. And parking at DS might be free, but it almost guarantees you'll be purchasing/consuming something, even if it's just a drink/snack. I wish I was able to show up and just watch the free entrainment while drinking a glass of water and munching on a granola bar I brought from home, but that hasn't happened yet 🙂

      Well - better take advantage then! 😉
      I prefer to see them as perks ... ex - staying on property & the transportation is a well worth it perk of staying on property.

    I saw the universe being born, I saw every individual atom disperse in different directions throughout the black void of infinity. I witnessed the Universe live , and I saw it die, I saw the last star extinguish. Then there was more, I went back to the beginning of the universe but this time I watched every alternate timeline and universe of ours. No matter how insignificant the change it was caused by. I saw everyone live and die , over and over again. I witnessed oceans of infinity crash around me for ever and ever, I didn’t look into higher dimensions, but that’s for the best. I could comprehend each wavelength in existence, I saw each molecule decay, I saw humanity grow and flourish .Then I appeared in a bright room, illuminated by the other thing in there with me, “You have done well on this journey. But it’s time to go back.” Then in a flash I was on the couch again. I had experienced this all in the span of a few seconds. But I am glad I have my simple life
