The Bugatti Veyron is one of the all-time great cars, but you get one, you're talking at least £1 million. So what if you could buy a car that looks identical to a Veyron, but it was 'only' £150,000? What makes this 'Bugatti' so cheap? Well it's fake! This fake Bugatti has an engine from an Audi RS6, a bespoke steel tube chassis, but a real Veyron windscreen! Is it worth it?!

NO‼️💩😂😂😂
@@peterabbott1974hahaha me neither, wouldn’t buy it for £50,000
No
Never.
i'd probably go for a real RS6 instead
More like VeyWRONG am I right? :)
😂😂
You’re one to talk lol
😂
😂😂😂
Spot on 😂😂😂
To me the headlights define the identity of a car, and to be honest, those just don't make the cut.
That was the first thing I saw too.. 😉
light looks like they belong on an EB118 rather than a Veyron
Quite literally 😂
Out of everything on the outside at a distance, those are what stand out the most to me. I think the biggest issue is there is some yellowing or a tint to them, which always looks cheap, and if they were actually clear they wouldn't stand out as much.
@@thomaswarren13 To me they look like a slightly more rounded version of the 2004 Skoda Octavia.
No, it isnt
Instead get an r8 for that money
Yes, it is
@danrice2797 well, you know what they say about a fool and his money.
but it’s got the chicken wire upgrade
Fr that is just wrong
If i wanted a £150k supercar I'd just get a slightly used R8 V10.
You can get a nsx with 3k mileage for 80-90
Or you know...a brand new one, considering an R8 RWD V10 starts at less than 140k.
But that's a 150k HyPeRcAr 🤡
But then you still won’t have a supercar. You’ll just have a nice Audi.
@@daniel6323 An R8 is a supercar by any measure.
The real problem here is that you can get a lot of different cars for 150k - a new RS6 for example. People with 150k to spend will want something better than this and people who can afford a veyron won't look at it. Nice idea and well made but I don't see a scenario where anyone would buy it.
For 150k€ you can get: a Ferrari testarossa (a real one) a Lamborghini Gallardo (also a real one) a Porsche 911 997 GT3 RS (also a real one) or any m car you could ever want. Sure they might be a bit more expensive to maintain, but at least you can sell them in the future. I doubt someone will buy this thing.
That’s well made to you 😂😂?
It might be no match for a real one but it has clearly been properly planned out and built to a standard.@@kabelotshita4510
Think you would struggle to get 15k for that thing.
I would have loved to see the W12 from the VW Phaeton, that 6.0L has to run amazing with a more agressive tune and some big turbos.
To be honest they should had went with that powerplant or sourced a used Bentley variant.
Yer that with a couple of turbos bolted to it for the noises if nothing else
Well if that's holding that RS6 Gen 1 V8 TT well, in some backyard purpose built engine bay for that hand-built vehicle maybe one should consider the structural integrity of that vehicle,
Looking at the vehicle and the replica quality the vehicle maybe holding that 450HP Power-plant barely at mercy of some strong welds on that Tubular frame chassis,
Moreover if you're recommending that W12 Power plant from the Phaeton and someone in the replies recommending those Bentley Variant then,
these Tubular frame would Snap into unimaginable pieces where the Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Body-panels and Tubular frame may show it's age and deterioration over time,
The person did a commendable Job by bolting on an RS6 V8 TT on his custom chassis but if he went with a full blown aluminium tub and chassis with bolt on Engine frame then this vehicle be it V8 or W12 would've been a respectable Replica or rather a Commendable Imitation job by the actual maker of this kit car overall,
But still this vehicle can fool people into thinking that it's a real deal just like some Trump Impersonator like a Fat bloke with a toupe who has some attitude issues and a bossy attitude there you go job's done,
this car is equivalent to a better trump impersonator overall,
The W12 in the Phaeton was NA, didn’t have the twin turbos of the Bentley unfortunately!
@@TheKatWeasel But you can buy a complete and working Phaeton for under 10k, then invest in the turbos, instead of expending more than double, just for the engine.
That steering wheel is horrendous
I'd be surprised if Bugatti will allow their badge on this monstrosity
Depends what the use is, if it’s a daily probably not if for movies it’s a yes
Yea I thought that. Mercedes doesn’t take its gullwing replicas lightly, Ferrari is well known so how did this come to exist?
No choice. Someone just stuck it on
@@chiseledmedal2634 if he’s trying to make money from the name then he should expect a call from their lawyers
Mate Rimac are you watching this? 😁
How was Mike so enthusiastic about this 🤯
It has a good guy-builds-his-dream story behind it, and it doesn't look as bad as it could have. He knows what it would have taken to build it and appreciates the effort.
''if you can get this sold I'll give you a cut"
He is a man of poor taste, let's be honest.
I wouldn't even entertain the idea of buying it. No way I'd part with 150 grand for a fake anything.
I'd buy something real that I've always dreamed of owning. A mint condition low mileage Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition comes to mind. It would be a lot more fun and while this one continues to depreciate in value, the Evo will likely continue to appreciate in value.
I’d buy this for 150k. Looks decent and probably infinitely better to own than a real one
@@vehicles_n_stuffZero self respect in order to try and impress people you don’t know. Sad. Because those same people who you’re to impress will roast you as soon as they find out it’s fake and you’ll never recover from that.
This made me appreciate the authentic production Veyron a lot more.
I think the Cobra replicas are the only ones that are cool, spend 150k on something else tbh.
What about gt40 replicas?
Superformance are probably the only replica brand that I would genuinely buy from, proper quality hand built and 1 to 1.
@@wrthare Factory Five not on a similar level to Superformance?
I would just get an RS6 😂
absolutely. but I respect the hustle nontheless.
"There are some completely shocking replicas out there" Yeh I know I'm watching one right now.
It looks "off" in many ways and on many levels but I can't pinpoint the exact issues I have with it.
Never would I pay 150k for something fake.
One of my friends has the concept of "I'll give you one point just because you really tried and made a respectable effort."
And whoever made that Veyron replica really deserves respect because he absolutely did the best he could.
When you tapped on the engine cover my soul cried. 😂 the headlights are off for sure. Trying to make your own Bugatti is is like trying to swim across the Atlantic Ocean. But honestly pretty cool build.
The people who put this replica together can rest assured they wasted enormous amounts of time and money. Edit: apparently 7 years and 350K.
How about a really decent 911 for the same money.
@@PointNemo9 exactly, so you can get a decent one for 150k.
Used 991.2 turbo S or 991.2 GT3 and some nice band new 992s
I've seen this car on sale and on the internet for over a year, and no knowing how much earlier it was listed. This owner is trying his hardest to get this kit car sold.
I’m out…
Yeah I always seeing it's for sale and in couple of videos definitely If he got more thank 50k he's gonna sell this trash replica
That stitching on the back of the steering wheel 😂
It would be like owning a fake Rolex , not for me , the real thing or not at all
Fake rolex and real rolex tell the same time.
a real rolex is an investment, a fake is worth nothing@@reyfauzi
Fake Rolex does the same thing as a real one
3 Cassio's still a better time than rolex's do
Fake Rolex are for frauds
headlights are wayyy too small, otherwhise, not too bad honestly!
Man if they switched out the headlights to something more realistic it would look way better.
Mike.. even Stevie Wonder could tell that looks nothing like a Veyron.. what on earth were you waffling on about
If you are making a replica you have to take into consideration that car won't part ways with you because nobody wants someone's else project car especially for that kind of money
Looks like someone described a Veyron down the telephone.
Is it just me, or is it out of proportion somehow?
I wish they could have parked it next to a real one. I guess it's smaller than a real one, and that messes up all the dimensions.
nah, the headlights is what gives it off... otherwise great job!
Videos like this remind me... just driving a different experience of automobile can be fun by itself no matter what the differences are. Bravo guys
Cracked windscreen, so MOT failure... How much is that to replace?!!!
The Temu Veyron
I had a friend who had that exact spec you would want to get in a Bugatti. It was the original Veyron in blue but this one had a darker brown interior. It looked amazing?
That replica didn’t look too bad but those headlights were the first thing that stood out to me as not being right. It was like they were 2/3 the height as the original ones or something.
U would require an Fake Rolex as well on your wrist to drive it to make it look like even more as if you've made it. 😂
I've seen a Veyron in person, and it's one of only 3 cars I've ever seen where I was truly speechless and just wanted to sit and stare at it all day. (The other two were the Maserati MC12 and Ferrari Laferrari).
This isn't it. The real car has such a presence to it in a way I can't really describe. I remember just looking at the way it sat on its wheels, at the faultless bodylines, and realising I wasn't the least surprised at all that it could happily sit at 350+ km/h without any issues at all.
I saw a all carbon brown super sport in London, absolutely insane irl
Why didnt they use the healights from the 2003 passat, they look almost like the real deal.
Honestly, this is a work of passion, and i totally get what the guy wanted to achieve, his own veyron.
When you cant have the real thing, you build one yourself, because its your dream car, and that is what its all about.
Im not going to disrespect, and call it bad taste of monstruous, because the 15/16 yo me would want one of these, right after the real veyron😅, and for that, you got to love it.
Cheers to the maker of this great vision!!
I instantly knew it wasnt real. As a very young person that means Bugatti did an exceptional job cementing their design language in the media, especially towards young ones who grew up with need for speed, forza, asphalt, etc.
The seats are technically genuine Bugatti items, however they are also used in the Bentley Continental Super Sports (the 2 seater version with the carbon brace bar in place of the rear seats).
You didn't mention that you have to pay a yearly subscription for Carly (a fact well hidden in their T&Cs) and that the Smart Mechanic feature is at additional cost. On the plus side, it has helped me identify and fix several issues on my E91.
From the first shot alone, I clocked it as being a replica. Out of any car in the world, why would you try to get away with a replica Veyron. Also 100k is insanity pricing.
That’s such a waste of time and money for the person who designed that thinking it will sell. The indicator on the door mirror was never going to meet homologation facing forward so that slapped on that end LED
That steering rack 😂😂
That would have been much better being left as the RS6 it started as.
Its a fairly obvious fake if you see it properly so the only reason people were falling for it is because they were getting a fleeting glance in the rain. Loads of it is off or wrong.
On top of that it allegedly cost enough to build that the guy could have driven a real Veyron for half of that seven years on the money.
So its got zero safety, no real speed with an auto box and iffy chassis, its still going to cost a fair chunk to run because of all the bespoke bits (not Veyron money but its not a Veyron or even close), makes you look terrible when people realise its a homemade plastic bathtub after you've told them you have a Veyron, likely leaks in, has terrible nvh, could get you killed if someone wants to steal it and costs as much as a nice 911Turbo, R8 V10, older Lambo or any of the other VW group cars which aren't using a ~20 year old engine.
Done well then yes but this one's not for me thanks.
Respect to that guy this is the best Veyron replica ever...reminds me of that South African engineer that built himself the almost exact replica of McLaren F1...mad respect for those guys...amd that replica of Koemigsegg Agera in a NFS movie 👌
Love it
I'd love to see a video on the VW W12 nardo.
Doesn't look big enough at the front or rear, spot it a mile off. Can't beat the quality of Cobra and Contach replicas, those cars are scaled correctly.
"It looks exactly like Monte Carlo, apart from in every single detail"
-Jeremy Clarkson
Wasn't expecting the Adder to get a shout out
They could’ve used TT mk2 mirrors since those are the same as Veyron mirrors
Paying 150 grand to be fake. No that definitely isn’t worth it. I’d rather have the rs6 and maybe a super bike for the weekend. Far better than a fake.
I hope the rest of the spaceframe is made of something more substantal than the solder joined 35mm copper pipe you pointed out😂
'You get what you pay for' has never rung so true
But it’s really expensive?
well in this case you don't
Why would you spend 350k and 7 years for a car. If he had worked that time with the same devotion he would have had enough money to buy a real one.
regardless of the "quality" of the car - the guy who built that should be working for a car company. it's seriously impressive
Could Bugatti sue for copyright infringement? Or is this sort of custom job free from that sort of thing?
Are the paddle shifters on the steering wheel functional? If so, did putting the automatic transmission into manual mode improve the performance any?
Sounds like it needs a better suspension.
Title should be : we drove the worst 'Bugatti Veyron' in UK's weather.
The biggest giveaway for me is the paint. It really doesn't look like a million dollar paint job.
Some AC Cobra replicas have become statements in their own right …. with their own recognised brands. This ….? ….. not so much
He wants £150,000 for it - As Darryl from the Castle once said 'Tell him he's dreaming!'
Having bought, sold, and driven various iterations of the Bugatti Veyron I can confidently tell you there is NOTHING on this vehicle which "looks the part", "visually is all there" or is "exactly like a Veyron 16.4".
This is as horrendous as all the other replica hyper cars out there and honestly if anybody in their right mind - and by means of their own free will - actually genuinely pays 150 000 for this, then I have a bridge to sell them in London followed by some very appealing swamp land, and a few lucrative plots of land for development on the moon.
There is literally nothing about this that looks "exactly like a Bugatti Veyron".
The amount of investment the maker put into this 'replica' would have been far better spent creating something unique. I'm sure they could have put out a half decent track-focussed space framed pocket rocket and reaped far greater RoI. Just can't see who would buy this other than film/tv production co looking for a more affordable prop car.
Wow!! 0:35 I never expected to see a sign with an XC Falcon Cobra Hardtop on it outside of Australia!
I'm not going to comment on the replica, but when it comes to which hypercar I would choose I don't think the Veyron would even be in my top ten. Don't get me wrong, it's an engineering marvel and pushed the boundaries beyond what we previously thought possible but it has just never really stirred my soul the way the holy trinity, Pagani's or Koenigseggs do. Even given 100's of millions to build a car collection, I could never see the Veyron being on my must have list.
150K on a fake item. Wow. A MUCH better choice would be to get a real, genuine car, like a Ferrari or Porsche.
£150k can get you some GREAT cars! I would NOT buy a kit car that looks like a kit car, you ain't fooling anyone with this unless you live in the middle of nowhere, lol.
That cracked windscreen is going to fail the MOT, then what?? Imagine the cost of buying a replacement Bugatti Veyron windscreen
The windscreen would pass an mot
it's a hand built kit car i don't even think it's street legal to begin with
Honestly, I think it would fool me at a glance. Interesting to know who would buy this though - super niche appeal.
150k brings you a lot of different exotic sport cars, not this one for sure...
Replicas are cool imo and in the movie world they are needed
Anyone who has 150K to drop on a car isn’t spending it on a replica 💀
Definitive answer to "just cause you can, doesn't mean you should"
something about the headlights is off they seem too small.
The ehole car proportions are wrong
Uh... for 150k, you can get a mint-condition, 2nd-gen Vanquish.
Put on your rulex watch, your air jardons, your ray bon sunglasses and go for a drive in your bogatti😅to get some vegan bacon i assume
the back end looks pretty legit except the exhaust tips. Something is off about the front end, Idk it seems like the lights are shrunken down or something. Overall I think it could fool a non car guy pretty easy. A for effort lol
It looks shocking 🤣🤣🤣 could tell instantly there was something wrong haha
I can’t believe this is a video. How much did they pay you?
The headlights gave it away on the very first view. The rest is more OK.
Engineering achievement none the less
looks like it started out well, but then they just couldnt be arsed with it and cut heaps of corners to get it 'done' like hows that rivet on the a pillar
and the steering wheel stitching and ridiculous logo on it
The black plastic binacle etc etc its like if you putting that much time and effort into it AND money - go the extra 20% to do it properly
6:02 - I reckon it's an RS6 engine in there, because the first title said so :D
Well, at least its mechanicals are from the same group as Bugatti? Bit overpriced I think, rather have a real RS6.
If I wanted this 4.2L Audi engine, I'd find a used Audi it came in with, and/or buy a Honda Civic Type R, for practical fun and reliability, and keep the change. But really, for less than £150.000, I'd a happy with a standard Porsche 911.
What an awesome build. And cheap like a milk in ALDI. Perfect.
Not really cheap at 150k
Fair play for the effort that went in to making this as I'm sure it was far from easy BUT...I can't imagine there are going to be too many people that will spend the money on this car.
Edit: I've just got to the bit where it's revealed how much time and money went in to making this car, mindblown.
I feel like car shows always forget about koenigsegg when talking about Bugatti
What people failed to realize is that a Bugatti is a limo/luxury car that can go fast
Not just an expensive fast car
They always been like that
The main issue overall in this video, is the Top Mike is wearing, I thought I was watching a video about GTA4 for a second.
That's pretty cool. Lowkey makes me want to try to build my own lol
"nearly", "pretty much" and "almost" are not words you expect for £150k
Should have Alex, Taylor and Rory take this to the 'Ring. Then hoping it doesn't come back.
Imagine pulling up to a supercar meet with a fake Bugatti Veryon honestly if i had the money I would buy it just to troll, but i gotta say its nearly spot on (minus some details that will give it a way) the attention to detail is decent 😅
A real Bugatti owner could buy this for what is for them chump change and then go to Goodwood or Monterrey and insist it’s real 😂
It would be fun troll for few minutes.. until you and everyone else realises that you spend 150k on a fake bugatti.. 😐
Looks like a Bugatti ordered from Temu
That steering wheel lets down the interior big time. Could he get that EB any bigger
They changed the title 😂
clean headlights and for 80k it would be ok :)
Didnt like the Tpain bit because he an actual car guy who actually took it passed 200mph and was shocked he had to replace the wheels every time😅
I couldn't bring myself to drive a lie. Idk how people slap SS, srt, demon, m series, amg badges on their vehicles and feel proud of it.
