You're missing out bruh. Because food with paint in it is simply the best. I feel bad for you. You better start putting paint in your food to really experience the vibrant nutrients that are locked inside of the food, and inside of the paint. It's really delicious.

Paint trim first. Much easier to cut walls to trim than visa versa. When painting trim first it doesn’t matter if you get some on walls as will be covered with wall paint. Much easier and faster. Added benefit is the trim paint that overlaps on to the walls will provide a nice base for the wall paint and usually means that on the second cut you don’t need to get the brush and wall paint less than 1/8 th of an inch to trim.

Paint in this order - ceiling, trim, walls. Agree that you have to freehand the wall-to-ceiling trim. You can't tape that. I've never even heard of that actually! I also find that if you want a clean tape line on your baseboards, don't depend on the tape to not bleed through after you're done painting the walls. Paint your baseboard, or at least the top of your baseboard, the color you want it (typically white), THEN tape it, paint the baseboard color again over top of the tape where it meets the wall, let it dry, and then finish with your main wall color over that. Because your main wall color can't bleed through, you'll find the baseboard trim lines will be absolutely crisp with no bleed through when you take the tape off.

Ceiling, trim then finish coat.....also use a rolling tray and not a 5 gal bucket then you don't have the mess. And you don't have to put the roller or brush in the fridge if you need to use it again after wrapping.

Wow, this advice is very contrary to what another video on Home Renovision DIY's channel said. They said never be tempted to turn the roller in a different direction, that the texture will be slightly different and that you should just do shorter strokes if you need to (like below windows), but stay in the same direction. I kind of agree with that.

Umm.... so prepping the walls isn't necessary? Got it 🙄
    1. Wash the walls with TSP
    2. Rough sand (grit size will vary) and patch any holes with compound/spackle
    3. Sand patches and irregularities with a finer grit (I like 1500) to smooth out walls
    4. Wipe walls with sponge and clean water to remove dust and let dry
    5. Watch this video and follow the steps.
Oh and don't be a dodohead and put your rollers in the fridge. Wet a paper towel and squeeze water out so its damp enough but not dripping and wrap around rollers and brush. Will be good for the next day.
Lol, prep is key and will make all the difference. ;) Cheers!

Okay this is to many steps I just printed my room today and all I had to do was get paint on a roller and paint the majority of the walls and take a 1inch brush and go over the edges and the spots that the roller can't get and call it done.
Doing that it took me about 3 hours where as doing what's on the video would take me double the time

That's relieving to know, planning on repainting the walls in my home, and that's basically what I was gonna do, but I've never painted walls before so I wanted to be sure on things, so I looked up guides to be sure, esp this one, the ones I've seen were really making it more extreme then I thought it was gonna be

Geezes all I want to do is just repaint my walls, this video gonna give me a aneurism with all this stuff

...how? It's a not even 4 minute long video with basic steps. Cover, cut the corners, fill in the rest. Start top to bottom.
You want the walls to paint themselves or something?

@@reiverdaemon Don't even bother, I've seen too many idiots in this comment section who either don't want to use their head or are bashing this painter for being a woman.
