Star realms, great pick JT. i play the app everyday a copple of times (just the core game) since Covid started. Probably close to my top 10, love this game
So far, JT's tastes are more aligned with mine than Sam's list is. I own five of the games on JT's list but only two on Sam's. We'll see if that holds true as we continue up the rankings. Thanks for another fun segment dudes!
I agree with JT regarding his IP choice in the intro. I know a bunch of other IPs well, but LOTR will get anything at least an elevator pitch with me. The Selenoth/Arts of Dark and Light books are probably second, but no one makes board games out of those. This also explains why generic fantasy appeals to me more than most. It's good to see some of the classic games still in the top 100, along with some recent games that are signiture picks. Star Realms suffers from a similar thing as Fury of Dracula. There have been games coming out for a decade that compete with it. While Star Realms has a very impressive portability factor, Star Wars the Deck Building game is bigger, but not too much bigger. It also used to be one of the early board game apps, but there are hundreds of board game apps now. Scarface 1920 is an amazing game, probably my favourite from this list. I still need to pick up my own copy, they had another print run this year, but I went from getting ready to pledge $125 to getting ready to pledge $400, and then I stopped myself and bought about 10 other games instead. I will pick up a copy one day though, it's a surprisingly under utilized theme.
@@Oaklestat Vox Day. A Throne of Bones and A Sea of Skulls are two books from the main trilogy, but there are several short stories with Summa Elvetica being like "The Hobbit" for this series.
I agree 100% with JT on Wyrmspan. I enjoy the gameplay so much better than Wingspan. Having to explore caves to entice the dragons is so much better. I do play it only solo. My wife and I really enjoy Donut Shop. Such a fun game.
@@Oaklestat yeah it’s definitely done well. Since I only play solo Wurmsoan just has a better Automa IMO. But Automa Factory has come a long ways since their early days.
Great job guys! Love the picks
Thanks. 🎉

@@raggededge68 Shocking…who would have thought that you would align more with JTs tastes?…lol!
Right on! It's good to know that you have good taste. JT
Scarface 1920 is my most favorite game, always love it when it gets mentioned anywhere 👍
It is such a great game. Sneaks right up on you. 🍻 JT

Not sure I am familiar with Selonoth. I will have to look it up. Who is the author? JT

Also JT: My number 79 is Ethnos.
I see what you did there 😂
Mwahhaaaaha. 😈 JT

Calling Ethnos' beautiful John Howe art ugly is sinful! But have at it around the graphic design and map/pastel colored tokens...
You are right. From now on I will say that table presence is weak... Thanks, JT

Right on. Agreed. At the same time, Wingspan has sold over 1 Million copies so I don't feel bad for it 😀 I think it has done all right. JT
