Ordered one from Anderton's after seeing your demo. Had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive, but got it last week. It's thick, it's 80's style greasy.... and I love it!! 👌🏼
While I have thoroughly enjoyed your recent demos of more "character" driven effects, I have to say the classic rock and clean tones combined with this very fine delay was a great palate cleanser. Lets the licks win through.
I love that their bringing all these oldies back in pedal form but after spending so much time building a rack rig, its kinda of depressing that they don't bring them back in rack mount form as well and that the prices for vintage stuff continues to climb!
Can't really go wrong with Boss. Schenker used two of their digital delays (one for slapback and one for longer delays) for years. Nice demo, you make it sound great on the BATM riff in particular.
Damn that thing sounds bad ass, I recently bought a gx-100 and I can’t get any sounds even close to that and I’ve spent hours just tweaking the delays.
The 3000 lets you set different subdivisions for each delay channel and has different modulation options. The core delay line tone should be the same though.
Not bad, maybe even very good. But for less than 3/4 of the price of a new SDE-3 I got myself an Intellifex, which has more sonic character, and has more features. I don't get why, in this day and age of old gear piling up through the roof, you do invest in new one. Let alone something I am kicking with my boots on a daily basis.
@@LeonTodd Indeed. And that's why I wouldn't use a pedalboard ;) Racks are manly. With a lot of space for shoes. I mean, Intellifexes. 1U for the Tuner you can see and use from 10 feet away, 2U for the preamp, 1U for a nice DSP FX, and on the backside all the wiring and power. And you can still carry it like a man purse.

Glad it hit the spot!

This is definitely one little box of all things that are great 🤟🏻
I find Leon to be much more amazing than the pedal. Leon is always worth the click.
Too kind mate!

I so love the sound of these... Pre ordered one after your first video ! Still no stock....
I think they must have massively underestimated demand for these!
@LeonTodd yeah I'd say so. Sounds like some stock coming this month... then some more in December... we shall see 🙂
0.53 There it is!
Love that riff!
What is that lick? It's been ear worming me for months, 🤣
@@Dan_Ranger It's the intro of their song "Heaven Above" off the Rewound album.
@ Thank you mate. I knew I’d heard it before. It’s been driving me nuts every time I heard Leon playing it 😂👍🏻
I agree awesome tone sounds amazing👌

What song is this you play all the time at 7:30? I love it!!!
Ragdoll - Heaven Above
Apart from the different features, is there any sonic difference between the SDE-3 and the SDE-3000’s Leon?

Leon Todd is just Australian “Ola testing shit”
Higher Vegemite content
nice
Looks a lot easier to dial in than the evh sde 3000
What is the song, artist at 0:50 mark?
Ragdoll - Heaven Above
Thanks for the reply. Looks fun to play
DD-2 or SDE-3 ?:))))If talking only about sound )))
Old school slap/rhythmic delay - DD-2. Stereo and longer delays - SDE
@LeonTodd thank you:)
Please review Ethos TWE-1.
Doesn't the Eventide Micropitch pedal do the same thing?
It can cover a lot of this
Hey im searching for a dual delay pedal (want a tap tempo and play shredding solo) which one is the goat?
Sde3000

Love old rack gear and the intellifex but if you're gigging with a pedalboard adding a rack unit to that is super inconvenient.
