Saka is very good. Could be great (Hazard, Alexis level), but trying to convince yourself that he could reach prime Messi and Ronaldo level is delusional. Might take 40 years to get the next Messi. Bro had like 2 ballon dor's, 2 UCL's and and treble at that age. While playing at the best team ever.

@@vidalgutierrez1736Ronaldo was a winger playing for the best team in the premier league, who had just won the premier league the year before and had won it 4 times in the last 5 years. After he joined they didn't win it, and they didn't win the champions league too. It took them 5 years with him in the team to win the champions league and 4 years to win the league. Glad he got that in at the end about Saka's mentality. It couldn't be more false when people call him "shy". He's just so humble, brings a positive attitude everywhere and he works so hard for the team tracking back, helping us retain the ball and dominate instead of taking on the 2/3 players marking him. He definitely plays more functional but that is very much down to the way we play. I think if he simply played more as an inside forward in more of a free role he'd have more of that superstar Salah, Hazard, Bale tag already. Maybe we can see that for England especially with more open games, but I love what he does for Arsenal. What a player and what a strong CHARACTER 💪

I believe it has to do with how robotic the system has gotten. Players have less freedom to express themselves. They have to follow instructions. If Dirk Kuyt (for instance) played in this era, he would have been in discussion for world class. But he was just a very good team player. Most hyped players these days are just very good at executing their coaches' instructions. Which is great. But truly world class players used to force the game to revolve around them. Notice how only City players get taxed when it comes to comparisons with other players. It's either they are system players or they play with better players

While I can't deny that Saka is super effective from a statistical point of view at Arsenal, when you compare his technique to other elite left footed attackers like Messi, Bernardo Silva or Foden he's a few steps below as his touch is much heavier & his close control is always so far away from his body.

Yeah mate he's a shocking player. He just happens to be one of the most technically gifted young players in the world. But a moron wouldn't see that.

Foden having to break in to one of the best sides ever with a coach who will ONLY play you if you’re at his level while also playing in a position he doesn’t prefer for YEARS and only now that he is being allowed to play centrally he’s arguable been City’s best this season. Also the G/A argument is so dumb. Saka is deigsnated pen taker, meanwhile foden has to share stats with haaland, KDB and the like. Saka can also quite easily get marked out of a game.

I genuinely would love Foden at Arsenal. He'd be a better Wilshere with less injuries. Also comparing the two is stupid because they should ideally be in the same team.

I find the comparison of Saka and Foden very similar to that of salah and hazard.
Hazard (like Foden) was always more talented and better on the eye but can't argue with salahs efficiency.
Obviously they're not at them levels yet but similar stylistically.
