How about that … creature that Jake Skywalker was milking in TLJ? It might be female, and looked nearly as distressed as we were to see it, so … character development, right?
Hi Anna! I'm 61 (62 on the 12th of this month), and I first seen Star Wars on the movie screen back in 1977. I walked 5 miles to the theatre and 5 miles back. I was hooked instantly on the Star Wars universe. It saddens me to see how great SW was, and how it is now. The scene in EP 4, where Luke is watching the twin suns set, feeling stuck in the situation he was in, was a scene I've lived out in my childhood living in the deserts of El Paso. So, Star Wars has always been about hope and overcoming adversity to me. Keep up the good work, and May The Fourth Be With You!
I was 5 and I saw star wars on TV at the time before the empire strikes back it was something I habe never seen before I loved it I always wanted those toys and of course I had tonhave Boba fett.
One of my first memories is my Dad taking my sister and I to Star Wars when I was 3 or 4. It must have been a re-run, as I'm 48 years old - so this would have been 1978 or 1979 (can't check with my mum or dad as they are both long dead now, and my sister didn't care enough about it that it is a memory for her), - anyway a year or two after the original run. I remember I was in my pajamas, and it was late (for me) - and it was at the Civic theater in Auckland - which - well - look it up - it's one of the great theaters of the world - fucking amazing place to see any film let alone Star Wars... my world was forever changed - I remember humming the main theme all the way home to bed. Dad took me to the following two films over the next few years, and it was always something we shared together, and always something I will love about my dad. He died a long time ago, and he and I had a lot of issues in the intervening years, but Star Wars was something we always shared. Also, it's become something I can share with my oldest boy now, and it's made me a better dad, I think. The amazing thing is - I married a woman who totally understands my life long passion for Star Wars - even given all the crap we've had lately - she still sits through The Mandalorian - and we talk about it afterwards. My god what a long rant! If you got this far, then thanks!
Agree that simple seen with Luke watching the sun set I think resonates with so many people. It is a hidden story of redemption of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vadar) that you really didn't even realize until Return of the Jedi.
I once asked a group of Star Wars fans if they were team Rey or team Kylo. They both answered Reylos. When they asked me I told them I was on team good Star Wars. Happy May the 4th to all the awesome Star Wars fans out there.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Not so much Disney's "Space Wars". Not sure what that crap is. Feels like a cheap knock off that should have been shot in a third world production.
@@RicoRaynn The only proper way to refer to Disneys Star Wars is “Space Wars.” Honestly Space Battles is even more appropriate, that’s all I’ll be calling them moving forward
those wasn't Star wars fans those was woke twitter and I bet those was the same fans that attack both actor to get together in real life to and they don't care about Star wars, along Ray it mary sue that all it matter to those fans
I got my niece to watch Star Wars the same way. I told her there was a princess in it and I couldn't pull her away from watching. She loved it and asked me why I hadn't let her watch it before. I was one proud uncle. She loves it as much as her brothers do.
Hi Anna! I was about 10 years old when i first saw Star Wars. I actually saw Episode I in theaters. I got my mom to buy me a lot of merchandise. Sorry Mom. I was ok with Episode II, but my love was solified around the time Episode III came out. I found out more about the movies when my favorite teacher in high school gave me this newspaper collage from all 6 movies in celebration of Episode III's release, which i still have. I rented all 5 movies from Blockbuster and saw them religiously until the big day when I went to the theaters again. I truly enjoyed all six films, flaws and all. George Lucas and his team truly made something special with this galaxy they created. KK does not deserve any recognition. Her and her droogs are just hacks. Happy May 4th Anna. And may the Force be with you
Anna, something you just said clicked with me. I’ve loved the series since I was a kid, I was that kid living on a farm, yearning to leave and for adventure. Did not realize how much I relate to Luke in that way until you said that, I feel like subconsciously that’s been another major reason why I love that character so much. Thank you!
I don’t remember how old I was when I first watched it, it’s just always been there and I’ve always been obsessed. My earliest memory was watching ROJ with my dad and him explaining that Luke saved Anakins soul in the end, I was maybe 6
Well Said! What got us boys into Star Wars was seeing how we can SAVE the Princess!, something that comes natural to us as boys and draws us to watch Star Wars over and over again!
I was in elementary school when Star Ward came across my radar. Some kid was going around asking if people had seen Star Wars, like a missionary of sorts spreading the word. I got my parents to show me and I was hooked. All the Star Wars fans would get together to theorize and talk about the books, games, etc. it truly was like a religion to us.
Love this video! I started with Star Wars in 1977. I was 21. The first movie I remember watching was “Ben Hur” 1959. I was 3. My parents put the three of us boys in the back seat of the car and we went to the Drive-In Movie Theater to watch it. 😎
I was 8 years old when I got into Star Wars I been fan ever since. I am 36 now. It came on tv one day I watched it. That was when I taken my first step into a larger world.
My first time with star wars was with A new hope when I was 4 years old. Now I didn't fall head over heels with it like you did but as a little girl I too connected with Luke. Always trying his best to help others like Leia, Han, and the rebels. Even if I was a very casual fan of star wars that hero's story did stick with me because I loved inspirational people and characters that did good things for others. It's something that made my grandfather so proud of me. Later on my mom got me and a sibling of mine lightsabers and we would fight like in the movies. Ironically only later after becoming a star wars fan did I realize she got me DARTH VADER'S lightsaber. I remember messing with it like what makes it light up. Before I had the concept of batteries. I mean what kid does when the fun part was always turning it on and off again.
The first ever Star Wars content I saw was "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars" and "Star Wars: Rebels" (both in 2014 when I was 9 years old), and I loved them both.
Happy Star Wars Day! Fun fact for the day. In Legends, Thrawn specifically formed his leadership style to mirror Darth Vader's. Yes, he executed those who failed repeatedly and blamed their coworkers, but if you took responsibility and knew what you did wrong, you'd be promoted.
Keep it coming Anna! Awesome vid speaking facts. I first saw Star Wars when I was 7, and became obsessed pretty quickly with it, and then the special editions were released in theaters a few years later and I couldn’t get enough Star Wars! Sadly Disney buying the rights to this franchise has so far been one of the worst things to happen to Star Wars as a fan. Hopefully they can get some decent films made at some point!
I was about 10 when the THX box set came out and our family got it. But Star Wars was always on the periphery with merchandise in our house. I love your channel and may the Force be with you!
Happy Star Wars Day, Anna! I think if i remember correctly, i think the first time i saw Star Wars was probably the Phantom Menace when it came out in theaters and later on i watched the original trilogy on video and i became a fan ever since.
They don't like that we can just sit there and be happy about something without thinking about it. We're having fun without them, so they need to ruin it.
Hi Anna, I was 10 when I saw Star Wars on opening night in London. My Mom had basically made me a sci-fi fan from birth but I had know about Star wars for months due to constantly seeing still production photos in a comic I used to read called 2000AD. Although SW came out in the summer in the U.S, over here in the U.K it didn't open until the last few days of December 77. By the end of the movie, I, a little black boy, child of Jamaican immigrants had a new childhood hero in Luke Skywalker
Happy Star Wars Day! I don't often comment, but today has me in a sharing mood, so here goes: I first saw Star Wars when they released the special edition in theaters in 1997. I was about 7 at the time, and I loved it, because of all the cool sci-fi elements, because of the awesome monsters, and most of all, because the bad guys actually felt threatening, it felt like they really could win, unlike the bad guys in most movies I had seen at that point, where the story felt like it forced them to lose. I especially loved the confrontation in the throne room, and the emperor bringing Luke down in a second. Then, a couple years later, I fell even deeper into the rabbit hole when I found and bought my first Star Wars novel: Heir to the Empire. Couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the EU. So, that's my little story. May the 4th be with you!
I have absolutely no interest in Star Wars; I watched the first movie when it came out, and that was it. However, I am a huge fan of "That Star Wars Girl". Her analysis of the movies and the underlying themes and meanings is not only profound, but it is transferable to the general human condition.. Listening to her commentary has given me new perspectives, appreciation and insights into totally unrelated books, movies and cultural events that I thought I already understood. So, Anna, keep doing what you do. I may not be a "Star Wars" fan, but I am a fan of intelligent people with deep insights who are teaching me stuff I had never even thought about! Thank you "That Star Wars Girl".
I had the same experience as you at about the same age, in a drive-in theatre in the 70s Only difference is that my “sunset gaze” was looking out across Lake Superior
Hi Anna ! i saw Star Wars in the theatre when it as released in 1977 , i was eight years old. i have always been a sci-fi fan as i grew up watching Star Trek reruns(and still love them !) i still love Star Wars up to Rogue One. I hope this brings a smile to your face.
Great story, Anna! As a now 49-year-old man, I can attest that as I grew up, I knew ZERO girls that took crap from boys for interest in StarWars. I never did it, none of my friends ever did, and I never heard anyone do it. This narrative that they did never fit my experience. As far as when I began my love of Star Wars, it was toys and things leading up to the release of The Empire Strikes Back, and I was 6. It was my first theater movie somewhere in Las Vegas and it. Was. GLORIOUS! TESB is still my favorite SW film today.
This was a fun watch, Anna! I was born 1963 so I saw "A New Hope" in theaters when I was 14. I especially recall seeing the trailer months before release during another movie and saying to Mom, "I gotta see this movie!" I also caught Episodes 5 and 6 in the theaters. When "Empire" came out, all my friends were BIG Star Wars fans, so we made a "group date" to all go and watch it as an early "graduation" outing :) PS: I smiled at your "Anakin - Anna" comment and wondered if your siblings and/or cousins would be known as "Anna's Kin" at any time? LOL
I was 14, in 1977, when Star Wars opened here in Glasgow, and I stood in the queue for two hours, the queue was wrapped around the building. I was alone, all my friends had seen it before me, but I was sick, I had the mumps and missed out a couple of weeks earlier..... it just filled my vision, when the Imperial Destroyed rumbles into the frame at the start, shooting at the smaller ship it's chasing... and I was like... wow!
I’m 61. I saw Star Wars when it came out. My oldest daughter is hooked because me and her mother watched it with her in her time. There’s only 6 Star Wars movies. I do count Rogue One ONLY because it’s a cool connection to Episode IV. Thanks for your content. I loved your rant.
Me & my brother saw it when it was first released in 1977 I was 10 years old. We then proceeded to see the movie again and again every weekend for that summer I think we racked up 250 screenings keep in mind the movie was only $1.00 - $3.00 back then
I'm 52. I saw Star Wars for the first time at a little theater in downtown Midland Texas. I was two months shy of being seven. The old theater was packed, and we were all excited to see this new Star Wars film, even the adults. Absolutely remember that first iconic shot of the two ships. I remember Darth Vader making his entrance. I also remember R2-D2 and C-3PO deciding to cross that hallway with all the lasers wizzing by. Everyone in the theater laughed. It was great. But not as great as when we went to see it again at the drive-in later that summer. That was even better.
May the Fourth be with you, Anna!😊 My father saw Star Wars in 1977 when he was 19yo. It was his favorite movie of all time, so he made damn sure to raise me and my older brother on Star Wars. I watched A New Hope as young as three.
So refreshing to hear a normal person these days. I was introduced to the OT as a kid on VHS tapes and whenever they aired on TV. Dont remember how old I was though... And then later the Special Editions and the PT
I saw "Star Wars" in the same ex-Cinerama theater that had screened "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) and would show "Alien" (1979). This was An Experience, the first Space Opera that grabbed the audience and set us down in an amazing Alien world. I am a "Star Trek" fan from the TV series, but "Star Wars" took me "out of Mr. Spock" and into "James T. Kirk." Until Paramount "got in gear," I rode along with The Rebel Alliance, trying to keep the Nazi-like Empire from "ruling with Terror across the galaxy." LucasArts' "X-Wing" and "TIE Fighter" were on the "upgraded to run 'Wing Commander" 80486DX IBM-compatible PC.
Hi, I'm your namesake from Italy. The first time I saw Star Wars I was around 2 or 3 years old. My father was a fan (and he looked like Luke! something I noticed only later in life) and he was watching it on the tv when I entered the living room. He tried to make me watch the film with him but it didn't captivate me enough (it was the scene with the droids in the desert and that eye that came out from the door), to me was boring and I sneaked out after just a couple of minutes, 'cause I was impatient to go back to play. The second time I saw one of the films I was at my friend's house, 6 years old, spending the afternoon playing with his carnival costumes (ninja turtles) ad see which one fits. He started showing me other 'cool stuff' like legos etc. One of his favourite possessions was a vhs of Star Wars. I don't remember which episode was (and it wasn't even properly rewinded so it started in the middle of it) but I remember spaceships, white armored guards and Darth Vader...being all menacing, with a scary rumbling voice (italian dubbing has always been of high quality) and superpowers! ... we were so stuck in front of that tv, mesmerized by him and all the commotions that was going on, that we didn't even dare to stop and restart from the beginning, we just wanted to keep watching! Federico tried to explained the plot to me but every two seconds he was going silent, almost drooling...and I wasn't listening to him anyway, too focused on the screen. At some point I asked: WHAT IS THIS?!! . But the name didn't resonate...until I saw and recognized one of the droids! I jumped up and shouted: MY DAD HAVE IT!! When I went back home I pestered my father about it and soon I got more fixated than him! Also because I've been trained by his brother, my uncle, since I was two in meditation tecniques, taichi, jujitsu, kempo and kendo (I was following/assisting in his exercises) so I really felt like a jedi in training! I really thought: ok, Imma use the Force next!! And now (past 30) I'm still going and engaging in lightsaber duels whenever I can (I have to modify every saber 'cause I'm 5 ft tho...) Oh, my lightsaber is blue (like my love, Obi Wan) ;)
I'm 51 and saw the original movie in a drive-in. I went with my mom, sister, aunt and cousin but my dad had to work that night, so I was lucky enough to go back and see it again about a week or so later. The next year, I found Splinter of the Mind's Eye in a book fair at my elementary school, and also vaguely remember watching The Star Wars Holiday Special. Of course, the adult innuendo of the Special flew right over my head and didn't notice it until I watched it again as an adult. (Chewie's dad yanking it to a Diahann Carroll softcore video? Egads!) At least those adventures helped fill the gap between movies. Waiting three years for the next film was agony!
Hey Anna, Happy May 4th! My story revolves around my first time seeing Return of the Jedi...so I'm about 12...and I want to see the movie the next day, May 25th, 1983....the first showing was at 11am...so in my genius, I thought, "I'll get up really really early" and head over to the theater and be one of the first ones there and get a great seat! So I get up at 7am...and by the time I get to the theater it was 9am...a FULL two hours before the movie started....and what did I find? 400 people in line ahead of me! :O I was shocked...but I still got my tickets, lined up for two hours, and got one of the worst seats in the house, the front/side...my neck was kinked the whole time...but I still loved it. Happy 40th Jedi!
I watched New Hope in theater with my fathrr in taiwan back in 1995 when i was 10. A local movie theater was doing a re-release. We had KFC for dinner before we went to the movie. One of the best day in my life I love episode 1-6 and rogue one
Happy Star Wars Day Anna and everyone in the comments!!!! I saw it opening night in New York City 1977. I have been hooked ever since; the Disney era has thrown me a little bit but I am still one with the force. This is the way! My favorite characters are Lord Darth Vader and Boba Fett although the Boba series fell a tad flat I enjoyed what is was. I’ve read the comics; I was actually on a field trip when some one had the Star Wars novel the same year the film was released. He told me the movie would be out soon so I should read it; I read as much as I could and nowadays people would call it a spoiler, I knew the outcome including Darth Vader being Luke’s father but it didn’t prevent me from enjoying the journey on how it all transpired. I tagged you on your Instagram as well Anna. By the way, I love your hair it suits you very well my dear.
It was 1997. Odeon had re-released Star Wars in the cinemas for reasons unknown at the time. I remember queueing round the corner to get in to see A New Hope with my uncle, a big Star Wars fan and my parents. The battle against the Death Star blew my mind back then and I was hooked on Star Wars from then on. Had a lot of the figures, the vehicles etc, bought the special addition that came out that year (on vhs). It was a special time and yes Luke was a huge inspiration for many young boys at the time who also had dreams of becoming something greater one day. I look forward to sharing it with my nieces and nephews one day, hoping they might release it in cinemas again one day.
My dad in introduce me to Star Wars when i was 8 years old during 1992 he turn on Return of the Jedi i got up and walked out on it . it took me 3 times to finally watch it . and i like the story and the characters in the universe .
I first saw saw Star Wars in 98 when I was 8. My twin sister and I had the vhs. I still have it. My favorite character is Obi-Wan. I was into Disney Princess way before I saw Star Wars.
Thank you. Star Wars Girl, l agree with you. I've been a Star Wars fan my whole life. The first time I've seen A New Hope at the movies when it first came out.
And this is why we love you, Anna. It's your passion. For me, I saw Star Wars one week after it came out in 1977. It was a few weeks before my 5th birthday. I left the theater completely blown away. Nothing has moved me like that movie did. Since then, I've watched "A New Hope" over 100x's. Star Wars changed the lives of many people. It's just a damn shame that it's gone down the toilet since George left. Thanks for the great video, and never change.
Anna, always so cute and beautiful! 🥰 ❤️ speaking the truth!!! Love to ya Anna! Love your story of how you got into Star Wars. ❤ i love how enthusiastic you were and still are about Star Wars! So adorable! ❤
I had to subscribe to your channel after I saw you in the prosecution side in that Star Wars debate with film threat, you were the most prepare for that debate
I was six years old when i saw the first Star Wars film. I loved it, especially the space battle with the Falcon and the Ty Fighters . I also loved and would rewind the scene a couple of times when the Xwing formation was shown coming up towards the Deathstar.
Happy Star Wars Day, Anna. When Star Wars first came out I was 9 and I didn't see it in the movie theater because it didn't interest me because I'm more of a Star Trek fan. I first saw Star Wars when it came on TV just before Empire came out. When I saw it on TV I loved it and could identify with Luke because I lived on a farm and wanted to do something more than live on a farm. I always want to be an astronaut or a fighter pilot and Luke Skywalker was both
Great vid Anna. I was also 2 and a half when I first saw SW 1977 at a drive in theater. I don’t remember much except for images, feelings really. (Pun intended). We went again the next night. Changed my life.
3:16 That was my first reaction when my Mom💖💝💗💘💓💞💕told me about 5 Days At Memorial. I was like “Hurricane Katrina?! Vera Farmiga?! Turn it on right now!”
I was 16 when I saw Star Wars. It was so good that day I just stayed in the theater and watched it again! Thanks for your video. You are so real with your words, very transparent almost to a fault. But that's why you are so great. And all that talent you have. Amazing. Don't ever stop!
Anna My mom introduced me to Star Wars when I was about 8 or 9 years old after borrowing it from a family friend and the next morning after I built a whole fleet of x-wings, y-wings, and tie fighters, out of lego. I do remember seeing it in the video rental stores, my own first VHS of Star Wars that I did own was from a video rental store. My sister and I both loved it from the start, and our younger siblings grew up with us watching it (I'm the main Star Wars fan in my family I own the most costumes and items out my other siblings.) I'm now 36. I usually watch your videos with the Princess Leia's Theme playing in the background.
I think I was like 8 years old back in the early 90s and caught Star Wars on TBS or TNT. Then in 1997 all the Star Wars 20th anniversary stuff was coming out and got kinda hooked into the franchise
I cant remember exactly when i first watched it. I was probably 8-10ish. One day we just ended up watching the first star wars movie. I think what caught my eye was the lightsabers. I had never seen a visual quite like it. Watching obiwan and darth vader fight was magic. After that i was hooked. So hooked that it took me a while to get into Lord of the Rings. Eventually i fell in love with that franchise too Lol! But star wars will always be my first love when it comes to movies. And because of all the exanded universe books, I've grown to appreciate it even more than i did as a child. One of Disney's biggest mistakes was throwing that material away. I still want to see Mara Jade, Ben Skywalker and all the others on the screen as they were written. Star wars future belongs to us. Happy 5/4 All!!!
I think I was 6 or 7, Star Wars was played on a new TV channel, it was a bit of an event, lots of commercials setting up the stage. It was shown on Friday evening, one part (episode) per week. I remember being torn inside because I had to wait a week for the next part. Later, when I was about 11 or 12, Episode I was in the cinema. That was the first time I saw Star Wars on the big screen and I think it is the reason why I still enjoy The Phantom Menace despite it's flaws. Obi-Wan had a great impact on me as a child, combined with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, they kind of sculpted my personality.
I first watched the prequel movies as a teenager in my grandparents house and I fell in love with them so much I went and watched the originals. And now I’m rediscovering all the expanded universe Star Wars content.
It's also the rather scary notion that there appear to be a lot of people who either cant empathize with those who look very much like them...or are so narcissistic that they cant tolerate anything that doesnt look like them. You were able to empathize with the characters on the TV, you liked them, despite your differences.
my dad introduced me to starwars when i was 4 or 5 and i grew up on the clonewars and loved starwars for so long but now i feel betrayed and saddened bay the lack a passion put into it now
My Mum introduced this (8ish?) little girl to Star Wars when the video of The Empire Strikes Back was released in the UK. She said she'd been waiting to see the sequel since before I was born, (video's took a long time to come out back then) because she'd seen Star Wars in the cinema when it came out. I loved everything about it, except maybe that it had a cliff hanger and it felt like forever before Return of the Jedi came out.
I really appreciate your video. I first saw Star Wars a New Hope in the theatre when I was 4. Like you it changed my life. I was spell bound by it all. The first time I saw Darth Vader walk on to the Tantive IV, my mouth dropped open. Also the hologram of Princess Leia was a magical moment.
I was born in '80 and I can't remember how young I was when I when I saw ANH and ESB on broadcast TV. I remember thinking "That's a dumb way to end a story. That's too sad." But a couple of years later, I was probably 5 or 6, when my parents brought home a copy of ROTJ from the local library. Everyone was really busy that day and I was essentially by my myself the whole day. I put on the VHS by myself and watched the movie I think 3 times beginning to end before I had to stop watching because everyone finally congregated for dinner. It was the most amazing spectacle I could have ever imagined.
Princess Peach had more character development and is more likable than any female character in current Disney Star Wars. Change my mind.
No. No I won't change your mind...
Not gonna argue with you. Princess Peach is cool. Done with Disney.
Does Rebels count as disney star wars?
How about that … creature that Jake Skywalker was milking in TLJ? It might be female, and looked nearly as distressed as we were to see it, so … character development, right?
Fuck Disney

Anna, something you just said clicked with me. I’ve loved the series since I was a kid, I was that kid living on a farm, yearning to leave and for adventure. Did not realize how much I relate to Luke in that way until you said that, I feel like subconsciously that’s been another major reason why I love that character so much. Thank you!
I don’t remember how old I was when I first watched it, it’s just always been there and I’ve always been obsessed. My earliest memory was watching ROJ with my dad and him explaining that Luke saved Anakins soul in the end, I was maybe 6
"yearning ... for adventure" - I hope you realized that a Jedi craves not these things.
Refreshing to see a girl that's a fan of the OT trilogy above all else. SUBBED!
I was two years old the first time I seen it…in the theater…been a Star Wars fan since then!!!!
May the 4th be with you crew, always
Well Said! What got us boys into Star Wars was seeing how we can SAVE the Princess!, something that comes natural to us as boys and draws us to watch Star Wars over and over again!
May the 4th be with you Anna.
The second theatrical run of SW: ANH in 1978; small theater at the end of the street we lived on.
Hey, Anna! May the 4th be with you! Happy Star Wars Day! 😊
8:31 woah trippy. Anna reveals herself a being AI. The Matrix has glitched 😃😉
Happy star wars day anna hope everyone has a great day. May the force with you guys
I was 6 and got to see Star Wars in the theater. The opening scene blew me away!
Happy Star Wars Day, Anna! I think if i remember correctly, i think the first time i saw Star Wars was probably the Phantom Menace when it came out in theaters and later on i watched the original trilogy on video and i became a fan ever since.
I was 7. I saw it in the theater. My sister saw it and knew I'd love it. So, I've seen ALL released films in the theater, including Special Editions.
Feminism just loves to ruin anything that's good🤡💅💯
They don't like that we can just sit there and be happy about something without thinking about it. We're having fun without them, so they need to ruin it.
Feminism hates femininity, plain and simple.
Yes indeed
Even though feminism has always been a big part of Star Wars?
Agreed
Hi Anna, I was 10 when I saw Star Wars on opening night in London. My Mom had basically made me a sci-fi fan from birth but I had know about Star wars for months due to constantly seeing still production photos in a comic I used to read called 2000AD. Although SW came out in the summer in the U.S, over here in the U.K it didn't open until the last few days of December 77. By the end of the movie, I, a little black boy, child of Jamaican immigrants had a new childhood hero in Luke Skywalker
Love you Anna! May the fourth be with you! 😊😘❤️🙏🏽✌🏽
I love Star Wars
Thank you for telling us your story Anna
I am the original kid at the movies in 77
I was 10 and it changed my life for the better
God this video is awesome. 8 years old when 1st run.
I miss real Star Wars movies.
How do you even remember stuff that far back in your life? My earliest memories were always from age 5-6. I might have not even existed before that.
Happy Star Wars Day!
I don't often comment, but today has me in a sharing mood, so here goes:
I first saw Star Wars when they released the special edition in theaters in 1997.
With today’s Disney, Anna might have gotten her wish - having twins get it on wouldn’t even be the most twisted thing they did that week… 😂
I was there at the first screening of Star Wars (I'm old) it was truly an amazing turning point in movies.
Wow. I've never heard an original story of starwars introduction like "there's a princess in it" like that, nice!
I had the same experience as you at about the same age, in a drive-in theatre in the 70s
Only difference is that my “sunset gaze” was looking out across Lake Superior
Hi Anna ! i saw Star Wars in the theatre when it as released in 1977 , i was eight years old. i have always been a sci-fi fan as i grew up watching Star Trek reruns(and still love them !) i still love Star Wars up to Rogue One.
May the 4th be with us all.
When "Empire" came out, all my friends were BIG Star Wars fans, so we made a "group date" to all go and watch it as an early "graduation" outing :)
PS: I smiled at your "Anakin - Anna" comment and wondered if your siblings and/or cousins would be known as "Anna's Kin" at any time? LOL
Great video as always Anna!
I was 14, in 1977, when Star Wars opened here in Glasgow, and I stood in the queue for two hours, the queue was wrapped around the building. I was alone, all my friends had seen it before me, but I was sick, I had the mumps and missed out a couple of weeks earlier..... it just filled my vision, when the Imperial Destroyed rumbles into the frame at the start, shooting at the smaller ship it's chasing... and I was like... wow!
Facts, have been stated.
5 years old , at the drive in, 1977, and according to Mum and Dad it's all i talked about for about 6 months.
Millions of women could have done Star Wars justice. Unfortunately they hired one who couldn't.
Cool
Watch the original in 1977, when I was 6. Saw 9 times in the theaters that year
Happy CLASSIC May The Fourth
May the Fourth be with you, Anna!😊
My father saw Star Wars in 1977 when he was 19yo.
And now (past 30) I'm still going and engaging in lightsaber duels whenever I can (I have to modify every saber 'cause I'm 5 ft tho...)
Oh, my lightsaber is blue (like my love, Obi Wan) ;)
I love how you love SW so much Anna,I would’ve loved to watch you watching it for the first time ❤
Was 10 years old (Am 56 now), watch in theater, stunded
I first watched it in 3rd grade. My step sis introduced me to it.
I watched Star Wars further back than I could remember, but I had several family members who enjoyed it as much as I.
I watched New Hope in theater with my fathrr in taiwan back in 1995 when i was 10. A local movie theater was doing a re-release. We had KFC for dinner before we went to the movie. One of the best day in my life
I love episode 1-6 and rogue one
My dad in introduce me to Star Wars when i was 8 years old during 1992 he turn on Return of the Jedi
i got up and walked out on it .
it took me 3 times to finally watch it .
and i like the story and the characters in the universe .
I got into star wars by my dad , when I was 9 in 2006
I first saw saw Star Wars in 98 when I was 8. My twin sister and I had the vhs. I still have it. My favorite character is Obi-Wan. I was into Disney Princess way before I saw Star Wars.
Great video Anna and happy star wars day
Thank you. Star Wars Girl, l agree with you. I've been a Star Wars fan my whole life. The first time I've seen A New Hope at the movies when it first came out.
Amazing Video.
That Star Wars, Good times, Now we have Disney Star Wars & it sucks.
I love this video! Thank you Anna. I was 11 years old and I saw it with my dad. I loved it
And this is why we love you, Anna.
I always want to be an astronaut or a fighter pilot and Luke Skywalker was both
Aggree
Great vid Anna. I was also 2 and a half when I first saw SW 1977 at a drive in theater. I don’t remember much except for images, feelings really. (Pun intended). We went again the next night. Changed my life.
The First Star Wars I ever saw was Return of the Jedi when I was about 5/6 years old. I found the Sarlacc Pit terrifying 😅
I saw it on release in 1977. I was ten years old.
You and @starwarstheory are my two favorite star wars content creators.
When I heard the news that Disney had bought the rights to the Star Wars franchise I thought "well here goes the neighborhood." And I was right.
I always enjoy this story.🙂
I was 5 when star wars came out in 77. I only wish the girls of my generation liked it but most didn't, I too was that star wars nerd.
Love this. Always heard about your channel but now I’m properly introduced. Subscribed. 😁
8:32 Audio glitch. sounds duplicated
my dad introduced me to starwars when i was 4 or 5 and i grew up on the clonewars and loved starwars for so long but now i feel betrayed and saddened bay the lack a passion put into it now
My Mum introduced this (8ish?) little girl to Star Wars when the video of The Empire Strikes Back was released in the UK.
