Hi , unfortunately vannamei is not so simple like Armano shrimp, please watch our earlier videos on "how to breed shrimp" and "how to grow shrimp larvae" . Thanks for subscribing
In earthen ponds with blowers + aeratos and central drainage system with pond water filtration and water exchange system every 3-4 days can we switch to intensive farming . How many pieces can we farm per square metre with above system
With earth pond too much aeration is problematic because suspend particles can clog shrimp gills. Intensive system (high density) with frequent water exchange is problematic also because of changes in water chemistry and it brings pathogens to your pond. Both factors will associated with high densities is a recipe for disaster. To be safe in earthen ponds and not lose money, don't stock more than 15 shrimp/ m2 , unless you are in a country without deadly viruses like Australia.
Hi Sunil, they sure can! We will have a video in the SHRIMP CULTURE playlist about this (and everything else about shrimp!), we are starting from the beginning but we will get there :)
I have witnessed in a pond, the shrimp never molt until reach MBW 25 grm. everybody is puzzled. no die no molt. it was incredible. care to explain how exactly, Full Moon related to molting ?
Hi Alex, you probably did not witness them molting because you really have to be sampling them to observe this. Shrimp can't grow without molting. In relation to the moon cycle it varies accordingly to geographic location and season. At certain times and places they follow the moon cycle, other times and places they don't. Also at certain locations and seasons they have migrating behavior in the full moon and new moon (when there are big tides), and they keep circling around the edges of the pond very actively at night, and and even with hard shell they will not eat (all they want is to get out, it is very easy to harvest, not even need to drain the pond, they will come out of the gate by themselves).
@@hashtagfish8542 , our pond have 10 aerator cover with HDPE plastic. and make the water circle so all the dirt will be in central. we siphone everyday and got nothing. usually we have. but last harvest, they dont until 25 gram. 🤔 about shrimp on the surface, is not because of the D.O low at night ? so they went to surface to get more O2? Shrimp behaviour is a mystery to me.
I learnt something new "moon cycle and weather patterns". I knew just water quality and developmental stages. Thank you for sharing sir.
Hi Josephine good news. I will show this weather effect into the feeding demand on the next video, stay tuned :
Great vid. This is a perfect overview.
Thank you very much for a very informative and well organized presentation.
Great video, please make a new episode on how overcome stress or die shrimp during raining season

Can the shrimps be grown in Biofloc in high density
