      @@toneskill im thinking same too, besides Russia is growing with brics, sco, csto, eurasi economic union, all investing amongst each other and russia. Russia has real commodities, while the west has limited, but instead play financial games only with paper money. If we sell in west, and buy real estate in russia, the worst thing can happen would be we retain the value of our money via our real estate in russia, so no loss, BUT we can always rent out the home to earn income, while we travel the world or cheap places like S.E asia. @@SamsRussianAdventures the log houses are awesome, I have A frames and all kinds of customs around where I live in Washington State and the log houses can be super big too. I watched one being built near by I was like wow that is the biggest log house I have ever seen. But in general most of us don't do fences in the front, only to the back for keeping the dogs from getting out. Some areas around here are gravel roads, I always cringe when my kids meet new friends at school and have me drive them to their house. Not sure why but some areas are not in the city limits. They are in unincorporated areas. I also live in such an area but the roads are paved and managed by the city.

      @@motan7864 In Western countries, income levels are higher. But the prices for everything are much higher. And huge taxes. Businessmen can especially feel the difference. Here you need to count. If it is more profitable to move, then you need to move. If it is more profitable to stay, then it is better to stay. Moving to Russia is a difficult choice. It needs to be discussed with the family, everything needs to be thought through. And so, in Russia we always welcome new people. Especially if they are moving with their family. :)

    This looks similar to how new areas pop up in Nigeria. You caught my attention when you mentioned how the community comes together to fix the road. Some people complain that it is the Government's job. As Kennedy says, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Your country just made getting access to land and shelter way cheaper than you would have expected. Some governments don't bother citizens so much to get their basic needs met. Build the road and move. It still comes down cheaper and the financial pressure is minimal as it is incremental.

    Nice new village. When it settles and trees start to grow it will look very pretty and lived-in. In the UK everything is so heavily regulated through planning laws that it is often either incredibly expensive or impossible to build what you want. And that is if you can afford the tiny plot of land which is also often very expensive. Even rich builders sometimes buy the land and then cannot construct anything for ages coz of expense and planning difficulty.

    Hi Sam you mentioned some problems newcomers may face when they settle in Russia. The language barrier is big obstacle. Ideally interested people should find other families who are keen to go to Russia. If you have for instance three young families, they can support each other. The children will be quick to pick up the lingo and teach their parents. That’s my advise. I am too old now but I do hope that one day my children will choose to go to Russia. By the way have you heard about a village being build to house 400 Americans?
    By the way I have just come across a RUclips video where they had a large number of beautiful ultra modern houses on display close together so you could walk from one house to the other and inspect them inside as well. For us westerners very unusual. The prices are unbelievably lowly priced in western eyes. $ 40O,000 or so for a house that could cost you a couple of millions in New Zealand or Australia. You pick a house and have it build on your own plot of land. You can have a swimming pool added. The houses are very solidly build . Indeed no plasterboard. Try to find the RUclips video.

      @SamsRussianAdventures  Месяц назад

      About the American village, most Americans who I have spoken with do not want to live in a settlement with other Americans. I agree that it would be a good way to support each other. In South Africa, we have many of these "settlements". Here we call them housing estates or developments depending whether building is still going on or not. They are usually gated communities with walls around them. But, the difference is that roads and services must be constructed and installed first, before building operations can begin. This includes water, sewerage, electricity and communication. Depending where you live. No overhead wires are allowed.

    My first house in New Jersey (US) was developed the same way: the developer bought a big plot of land, laid out the streets and the individual lots, and sold them off. So the record of my property began in 1912. However, the war followed, and then there was an economic recession, and so my house was not built until 1922. It is identical to a house next door, because the owner bought and built two neighboring lots, but otherwise every house in the neighborhood is different (with some similar themes). A trolley line ran up one street until the 1950s, that street is still twice as wide as the others. And only that street has stormwater drains--sometimes in heavy rains, the other streets fill with water. Not perfect, but pretty good for 100+ years ago.

е. волокитчики).

    Great Video Sam I really enjoyed this. 16 Million is $246,977.40 Canadian 300m is 3229 square feet with 0.28 Acre's I'm sure its expensive for the average Russian but still a great deal. The average Price in my neighborhood is $750,000 for the same 300 sq m and you Don't even get a very big back yard. The Canadian housing market is one of the most dangerous housing bubbles and most people can't even afford to buy or even rent. the average rent is $2,000 a month here in Ontario.

    Country roads in such climate gets pot holes every spring anyways. In Canada they have graders doing their thing yearly. Not much you can do about it, one of the charms of living the rural life in Canada and Russian I assume. In Canada come spring, trucks are only allowed to carry half loads on many rural roads.

    • @De5O54
      @De5O54 5 месяцев назад +2

      @Peorhum - most potholes are due to water. The rain goes in a small hole or crack and the frost comes, expanding the hole, and it continues, repeated, until it is very needing sorted. Although HGV && trucks can chew up the road surface with their sheer weight.

    Hi Sam, thanks for the content. Do you happen to know if it is possible to find houses like the one from your friend, around the same price range (7.5 mil. rubles) in similar areas outside of Moscow or SPB? This area you showed is very nice in my view, with green, clean air and more quiet than the city areas. Thanks in advance! *Edit: Do you know if it's generaly cheaper to build your own house instead of buying one?

    • @SamsRussianAdventures
      @SamsRussianAdventures  5 месяцев назад +3

      Building can be cheaper but it can be very difficult if you don’t speak Russian. In regions such as Moscow you can find houses at cheaper prices because there is a high turnover of houses being built and sold.

      ironfist768 зачем тебе Москва и С.Петербург ? Это города на которые нацелено ядерное оружи. Выбери другой пригород, например Чебоксары, Арзамас, Миасс, Кострома, Шахунья. Ты не бойся что там пока не развита инфраструктура, со временем всё будет хорошо везде в России. Сэм тебе чётко ясно дал понять, что лучше покупать не готовое, а дешёвое, на перспективу.

    Such a beautiful place. I was thinking that you *could* build by wood in those huge window spaces, install standard, smaller windows within the stick-built areas, then upgrade to the larger windows when the prices drop. That was you could live in it and finish off the inside.
    That's going to be an amazing home when it's finished!
    Dan from his channel, The Sheekov Family, built his home and knows a lot about home building. He may have some tips for you, too. He did the work mostly himself and with the help of friends. Dan is good people.
    I wish you the best on your home building. I love that you can do this a bit at a time.
    Building a smaller guest home, or astructure that could be converted to a barn for animals later on might be a great idea and a future comfortable place for animals, such as chickens or pigs or a cow or whatever. (NOTE: If looking into cattle, you'll need an acre per animal minimum, but their milk is amazing! Your own chickens will make the best eggs when you feed them scraps and they are great garbage disposers, too.
    Anyhow, just a thought! I'd love to build a home and have a small farm, to produce my own food. It's far healthier.
    Whatever you do, I hope your dreams come true! Your home is going to be beautiful! Much ❤love from California. Here it's far too expensive to buy or to build a home anymore. The restrictions and permits make them ridiculously expensive, which is why so many people are leaving here. It's very sad that the state government has screwed it up so much. We are losing even nurses from here as they cannot afford to live here. It's pretty crazy.
    I want to start a farm, but it's not going to happen in California.

    Here in Australia we have so much land yet they squeezing properties with no backyard you can touch your neighbours roof. We pay council rates amongst other rates based on the valuation. In return all we get is rubbish collection once a week. Average council rate in little Adelaide is around $1000 per year. We have many councils for different areas each has administrative staff, ceo, mayors etc. Probably the only country that has three levels of government. Councils, state governments and federal government.
