Took the words right out of my mouth. There are creators who are loose naturals. Why look for a creator who has locs, then ask them to take it off? For a brand deal that would last how long? E tire me. Sigh.
5:09 I'm commenting a lot but this video is just so good haha. I think it's also because even though locs are becoming a little more mainstream than they used to be, people still don't know what can be done with them. For example, Chloe and Halle, I have no idea what magic their stylist is doing but they can wear extensions, knotless braids and a ton of other cute styles. Even with their trad locs that are a little chunkier! I mean, locs are definitely not a limitation like many people believe. It's just a different kind of natural, and we can have as much fun on this side of the divide with our hair too :)
Even as a loose natural hair cConsultant and RUclipsr, I totally agree with you. Locs are another authentic form of natural hair and deserves to recognized as such. 🌸
I have definitely been asked many many times “Do you wash your hair?” And I so want to respond back with the same question lol but I, like you sis, have realized that there is a negative connotation associated with locs. Whether that’s we dont wash them, or take care if them. But I travel quite a bit with my ministry around the world all year, and we get called Rastas a lot. And people also think that people with Locs smoke weed. But then I realized that it is an opportunity to share Jesus and say “I am not Rasta, I am a child of God. Do you know Him?” Or something like that , but yeah sis. Your hair looks so good by the way! Super proud of you. Also, super stoked on this masterclass because I want to grow my youtube channel, and every time I tell a friend about it, you are someone that I always mention and say I love your videos and how you edit/create etc.
Loved every part of this video: 1. From The Masterclass, 2. The L'Oréal update and hair journey, 3. The odyssey of makeup headaches and not stressing, 4. The Healing of the ear, 5. The taking out time to pray and overcoming Satan's tricks, 6. The warming of stew and making dinner before leaving 😅, 6. To even the amazing interior visuals of the house. This content is a whole meal! 💯 Coincidentally, I was just thinking about cutting my hair and starting afresh. Plus, I was at a Kingdom Wealth Academy session and I remember thinking that...learning how to be a RUclipsr is a necessary skill in the times we are in. People need a platform to be flexible and creative. So thanks for this. ❤❤❤🎉
Thanks for sharing Ezinne.. I had a similar experience of the ear ache while I was in junior sec school... It was aching so much at about the early hours of the day... I asked the lord for mercy, just crying out to him and the exact experience of something pouring out of it ear was what I experienced and ever since then till date, I have never had to go to the hospital for an aching ear.. I was Divinely healed🥺... God answers prayers for!❤
I had to pause your video and comment!!! Thank you for making this video!! I was harassed in my school because of my locs and tagged a smoker! I’ve NEVER been stereotyped negatively in my life. I almost cried. Thankfully, people know me enough in school to know that I’m not a stoner. But, it was such a terrible experience 😭😭 it is well and to think in the olden days African carried locssss/dreads!!! And it was beautiful
Yes ooo, someone told me that she does not like my loc’s but I was like that’s a you problem not mine. I love my loc’s and not even people talk can change that for me. I thank God you are healed ❤️❤️
I enjoyed this vlog. Everything was just so seamless. The different clips merging together, the voice overs, perfect. I’m so sorry about the pain😫. Organs we think are little can cause so much painn, kind of like toothaches too. God is so kind, thank God for healing you. May you be kept in perfect health.
my aunty has her hair locked for more than 7yrs and everyday i'm close to locking mine bcos of her and how cool it is...i'm an advocate of it and it def. looks good on you❤
Love 💕 this video and also an advice to some hair brands should respect someone decision on what they will do to their hair, it's important to respect your future ambassador 😊 that's it good to ask for their opinion first it makes the collaboration easier and stress-free ❤
I could relate so much with the pain you said you felt and the next response being prayer especially really late in the night... I just kept saying Thank you Jesus while you were sharing your testimony and when you said it felt like water poured out and all of a sudden your ear felt better, I'm like Yes, God did it... Thank you Ezinne for sharing.. And yes your hair is beautiful and you're right about how locs should also be recognized as a type of natural hair, because the truth is, It Is.
Yeah I thought its just me I pray about everything even as little as headache, sometimes I laugh at myself from within. However, I have gotten to understand I shouldn't run to man first no matter what but God.
I can so relate to the prejudice people have about people with locs. The time I discovered Ezinne decided to have sisterlocs, I was screaming. I've had mine on now for 4 years and trust me, it's still a struggle making people understand that you're not dirty or a rascal because you have locs. The struggle is real.
As a fellow loc sister in Christ, the struggle is REAL and so is the stigma. It doesn't stop me from loving my locs - they're so beautiful and so are yours! I'm really glad you spoke on this issue and I pray that your ear is completely healed in Jesus' name, amen
This is a confirmation for me oo to get this baby on my head locccccccc .Ezinne and Tolulope Solution is my Inspiration and I admire to see my hair flourish in a different form. HALLELUYAH O😂...thank u for sharing.
Thank God for his healing and quick recovery upon you Ezinne❤. And your locs is so gorgeous, it reveals years of intentionality to growth..more deserving brands like L'Oréal.❤❤❤
That audio about feminine energy, I love it. I took my time to listen to it. Please where can I get it from? Also, when the point where you were like you told mom about getting locs and she was like no, I can relate. When I heard my mom's reply I couldn't help but laugh.
I feel like there's this freshness to your videos🍃. It's so clear that there is growth on all sides too. I get so emotional when I see progress in people's lives (courtesy of God❤). Thank you so much, Ezinne, for this great video. Watching you inspires me in ways I cannot tell. And yeah, a YT masterclass is what every aspiring RUclipsr like me needs😊❤ Oh! And for that brand... Whyyyy? 🙄
Thank you Ezinne for another lovely video. I enjoyed watching you and listening for wisdom. About the ear pain.. I have experienced exert same thing twice. The Lord has healed me. And I believe your healing is permanent, Amen.
I can relate to the part where you said your mum didn't want you to have locs. I'm a teenager and I'm definitely going to loc my hair soon. Nothing will stop it😂😂😂❤
The voice over at the L’Oreal event!!! So good!! I went through an episode last year and coming to that realization with the help of the Holy Spirit completely transformed my Life. This is such an impactful vlog! Thank you so much for sharing. I should get my hair loc’d soon by God’s Grace. So help me Lord🙏
Yeah, its funny most times, especially for guys like me with stubborn black & fine hair, i had to cut my locs for 1 year 11 months, because society won't accepts a nobody wearing originality, but definitely when I make that unbelievable liquid ( the hippy state ) might come to life, but for me locs I'll rekindle 🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜
I’m glad to hear you feel better about your ear too I’ve been having some sort of ear block too that’s just uncomfortable because it’s like air is trapped and I can’t seem to get it out since 3 days 😩 But I pray it does clear off eventually…
Your loc's are really really pretty, ma'am! I genuinely did have a struggle with loc's too at a point (especially bigger sizes) because of the regular African stereotypical loc look. Now, I've recently come to see that it can be so pretty if it is actually really well taken care of and the stereotype comes from so many bad experiences people have had/ heard. People have had bad experiences, really. 😂 I believe you and others who are actually taking care of it and looking good may gradually bring a different view point from the regular African stereotype. Thank youuuu!
I really think people with locs are cool kid😂 I'm getting closer to getting locs as the day go by, but my hair texture feels very different from natural hair but it is very much natural
It was really disappointing because I tried to show them that my locs would not be a hindrance, as people with locs can still wear wigs and hair extensions but they did not care 😂💀
I can't believe this is a thing. Did i think locs are different? Yes, in the sense that you can't comb it like a loose natural hair but to think people don't consider it to be a natural hair is just absurd. If anything they should want to work with you to show how diverse their product can be and it's not just for a certain type of hair but for all. Thanks for the enlightment and i hope with this video people are able to see that locks are also natural hair. ❤
I'm sorry you went through this, no one should have to be treated like this. 🙁 These companies that market hair to Black Women are from non-blacks who want to capitalize off our publicized insecurity/stigma that surrounds our hair...even if it's a black owned business they make their Asian vendors rich for generations. Unless hair is sourced from Africans or is a synthetic fiber made to mimic our hair that was invented by a black person, non-blacks should not have this power over us. They know it's a sore spot for many of us and think we are desperate for their hair. That's why they think they can make ridiculous demands like that. In the same breath, I wish we were able to free ourselves from weave bc it profits everyone but us. Even the girls with long natural hair are still choosing to wear Indian hair over their own texture 😪
My gosh. Ear pains are the worst! The way i begged God when mine started. And the pain always came at night never in the day time. I went to the hospital to get checked and they said it was an overload ear wax that had gone way inside due to my use of ear buds and that i needed to get it washed. The whole process of getting the ear checked caused me alot of pain and i told God that I wasn’t down to wash the ear or spend money on that. Y’all, from that day, the ear wax started coming out itself. The pain stopped.
Thank you for the beautiful testimony of God’s healing in your ears. Thank you for exalting the name of Christ. Keep standing in God’s Word against the attacks of the enemy, resist the enemy and he will flee.
Big up the people who have locs. I have locs and I love them thank you for representing the locd girlies. Locs are truly beautiful and yours look so healthy and beautiful 😍

I got my locs after seeing yours. I can wear any hair style or extensions on it but I decided to take it down recently but feels like I might change my mind 😂
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous and it’s very deserving of attention from brands. Big ups to L’Oréal for taking the initiative❤️
thank you so much! 🥺🤍

They definitely redefine the belief that locs are monotonous/limiting.
Testimony time!!! We thank God for the life of sister Ezinne.
Even as a loose natural hair cConsultant and RUclipsr, I totally agree with you. Locs are another authentic form of natural hair and deserves to recognized as such. 🌸

At 90+k!
It's almost unbelievable and yet, it is so!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love your locs and I’m glad that L’oreal took the initiative to include the loc’ed girlies. That other brand has a lot of audacity sha, it’s crazy.
You're actually the reason I considered getting locks but I don't know how they'll look and be maintained with relaxed hair
Yes ooo, someone told me that she does not like my loc’s but I was like that’s a you problem not mine. I love my loc’s and not even people talk can change that for me.
I thank God you are healed ❤️❤️

Natural hair is the way forward!! So beautiful!
I have locs and I love your locs, your locs is one of the things that brought me here.
Wow😮
Thank God for healing your ear. This is relatable ❤
I already followed in your footsteps and evangelized the gospel of Ezinne’s microtwists to a couple of people o. We are getting many.
The combination of vlog and editing ezinne is superb and so creative.
As a fellow loc sister in Christ, the struggle is REAL and so is the stigma. It doesn't stop me from loving my locs - they're so beautiful and so are yours! I'm really glad you spoke on this issue and I pray that your ear is completely healed in Jesus' name, amen

One thing about locs is that it grows so well 😊my aunt had hers for four years before she cut it (was about 14 inches to 16 inches)
Thank you for sharing.
Your locs is what you want, nobody should tell you to take it out
The voice over at the L’Oreal event!!! So good!! I went through an episode last year and coming to that realization with the help of the Holy Spirit completely transformed my Life.
This is such an impactful vlog! Thank you so much for sharing.
I should get my hair loc’d soon by God’s Grace. So help me Lord🙏
Thanks for representing the loc'd community. I'm curious at to how you achieve your curls. They're really pretty.
You are a blessed woman, through and through. I always look forward to everything you put out.
That's how my mom used to shout against having locs before. but she now has locs 😂and I haven't even loced mine
You have said it all, sis. Can you share your skincare routine with us, pls?

@@EzinneZara well, their loss.
@@EzinneZaralike they have an agenda to discourage people from wearing locs.

The ear pain thing happened to me once. just had to cry the pain out and talk to God because it was almost unbearable
