Had the most fun in this game when the GS/Hatchet meta was dominant. And I don’t even played that build. I played Spear/Hatchet/Rapier, and it was pretty balanced. It wasn’t meta In wars, it whanst meta in OPR. And, as I predict when I was playing, they would eventually nerf the spear… A weapon that wasn’t meta, and was probably the most balanced melee weapon. And why? Because they had and aversion to balancing certain other things, that eventually broke the game. And the sad part is, most players are at fault also for this, cause most kept complaining about the wrong balance points
I struggle to get into new world when open world pvp isn't always enabled, and ontop of that you barely see anybody as it is - At least on the oceanic servers
@kaiserRoll, you do realize new world is the mmo for jocks. Console launch is going to be a half billion dollar payday. If you enjoy the game, youre hoping for a similar trajectory to ESO. A universally hated game at launch. Doomed to failure. Then came console launch. Then came one tamriel followed quickly by housing. Double the valuation of Zenimax and they sold shortly after to MS. Good luck on your GED sweety.
Speculation at this point but it makes no sense to lay this groundwork without the intention of removing designated servers. Assuming new world wasnt always just a data grab
I keep checking hoping to see changes that will entice me to return. Yet again nothing at all but disappointment and moving even further away from what the game needs to be to bring players back. Brain dead development team hard at work murdering any chance of success.
Placing design decisions on an entire is nothing but an admission of ignorance. Scot lane is your target. The grunts have zero recourse to such decisions. They just write lines bud

They are copying Eve Online' s sharding system, at least in architecture. Played Eve for 20+ years. By starting the shard test, fairly sure that's where they are headed. I see two or three mega servers per region if they hired the right back-end devs.
Most likely on the way. GW2 took almost a full year to implement after launch. Expecting a scot lane led team to accomplish this in less than 5 years is laughable.
Dodging while blocking or aiming apparently drains 100 stam now😂

It affects it. Opr is scaled up but unequipping a weapon gives you an advantage.
