    Thanks Jamie! Love the shorter format and all your tips. I've always loved stripes, but just bought my first polka dot piece because I love how you integrate it with your neutrals. I must say, I'm a believer now 😉🌼 it's a black pleated maxi skirt with small cream polka dots. It goes with absolutely everything and flows beautifully. Thank you!

      Thank you! Ooh exciting - polka dots are so versatile and don’t date either; I’ve been wearing some of my fave spotty pieces for years ☺️☺️

    Thanks alot for the tips. They are so useful, since i am always feeling so overwhelmed by so much fast fashion. I will take it on board, i have finally psyched myself to get rid of most of my clothes and start over, and using your tips and other videos x

    Hi Jamie, You have the best basic items. I really love that striped top. There are lots of striped tops around but the one you showed really appealed to me. Thx for the video, xo, S

    I always like listening to your tips for what to look for when checking quality. I'm not 'afraid' of colors and prints... but I can't help but lean more toward to neutrals haha 😉 I always look for that special something that makes the piece more interesting, too!

    Such good tips! I really need to bear these in mind when I shop, because so many of my basics are super boring and I end up having to jazz them up with jewellery and makeup!

      A good red lip or a statement earring is always the perfect accessory though - especially when you just want to wear something simple :)

      Isheeka basics are the foundation of dressing well. It’s accessories which create the persons style, as well as their hair! The French style has always been about accessories!!

    Thank you for this. I like the classic style. I'm wondering how to recognize all of the natural fabrics. Is 'modal' one? A t shirt was 1/2 'modal', half cotton. Do they ever come up as different names (or is it just wool, cotton, or linen?). Thanks.

    • @mademoisellejaime
      @mademoisellejaime  5 лет назад

      Carlijn below has given a great description of modal. For wool you might see merino, yak, lambswool etc but generally it’s just the standard cotton, linen etc

    I do enjoy your videos- i always learn something new, or you confirm what I initially know or do. We seem to have somewhat of the same taste; i just wear a little more colors than you.
    But i really like your style. I miss the videos you use to do when you worked outside the home- I’d try to match what you would wear sometime.

      @mademoisellejaime  5 лет назад

      Aw thank you Renee! Haha 🙈 I probably dress a little more casually than I did before but hopefully some of the videos I’ve got planned will have some outfit ideas that are a bit more up your street xx

    Thank you so much for sharing your favorites 🙏. I’m a big fan of striped blouses and polka dots as well. Never wear floral or animal print. Think it’s not really my thing.
    Ps. Do you have wider shoulders than hips as well? Always struggle with finding great cardigans and jackets that suits my shape. If so, i would love to hear your tips

    • @mademoisellejaime

      Thank you Kim! Re my shoulders, I have very narrow shoulders so the opposite to you. I’d love to try and get some other women on my channel to do styling hacks for different body shapes at some point 😊😊😊

    Nope, I think you mentioned all the basics. I also adore polka dots. I've been wearing that pattern forever. I don't care if it's in or out - it's always in for me. With your blouse once those sleeves become dated you can easily cut the ruffle off. Hem the sleeves or even attach lace or a contrasting colour fabric. You can continue to wear the blouse. Great tips.

    ...now if only I could purchase a skinny little figure to wear all this with. Or maybe sell off 25 lbs.
    Very nice items... love that brown tank, looks great on you.
