In your analysis of the dribble drive attack wouldn't it be much simpler for the short corner guy to back cut after passing the ball to the top? He is wide open for a short jumper, a floater or a dribble drive to the cup. Why risk a turnover exploring other actions?
You can vary how you want to pressure the ball. Usually you’re trying to force the ball a certain way and might be trying to shade the ball to one side (maybe the side where your wing defender is better). But yeah, some good ball pressure can be very useful at times.
If you prepare for it and understand what the 1-3-1 is trying to do it doesn't matter what kind of ball pressure they bring it's going to get destroyed
Solid analysis will be taking this into my game tomorrow
Amazing! Happy it added value.

The suns just used them to stop LeBron, i mean Old Bron. But they get destroyed by Giannis
Sorry but all those 1-3-1 defenses i saw were crap. No pressure on the ball.
they did pressure, but not in the right way
