That's the most uplifting optimistic soundtrack ever for such a bleak and grim film. I love the Middle part where the Indians find Papillion. Totally Magnificent you can hear those tribal rhythms in the background Superb. Thank you.
j'ai regardé ce film sur 2M avec décodeur en fin 1989 j avais 11 ans, il m'as beaucoup marqué dans ma , j'ai pris le CD en 2000 je le regarde assez souvent c'est une grande œuvre du cinéma, paix sur ton âme Henri charriere.
I spent 2 months in Jamaica on this film . Steve McQueen should have received the Oscar for his role and Dustin best supporting actor. There was a small book that had beeh written by a prisoner that the writer of Papillon stole and wrote his book that the film was made from. A couple of years ago in our local Trancas car park I mentioned Papillion to Dusin and he asked me if "I knew about the other small book" I was so surprised as he was the only person who had mentioned it to me in all those past years..When drawing up the solitary quarters I could not believe that anyone could design such a building for human's. There is a chapter in my memoir The Empty Stage where I write about that time.
I've just watched it, it is one of best films about escape among the shawshank redemption and count of monte christo. The great escape and cool hand luke are also awesome but ending of both is sad :(
