I love Sacha, very intelligent person who uses his platform to address important issues in a hilarious way. Also, didn't know he was a lefty before this video!
Really ? Than why doesn’t he address the Important issue of Israel’s aggression towards Arab states and their brutal dictatorship of Palestine instead of making a series about how wonderful it was that Israel put a spy in another country’s government with the hopes of overthrowing it.
In all of this, Sacha made a point to recognize the extras for how good they were. That says a lot to me about what kind of person he is. And this video was just amazing
If you haven't already made the connection, in "Forrest Gump", during the scene at the Washington Mall, the guy cursing and screaming into the mic is supposed to be Abbey Hoffman. And if you've never read, "Steal This Book" by Abbey, do so-- it's a classic (but son't steal it).
I was maybe 11 or maybe 12 years old with my Parents in Manhattan. We went into a Bookstore. It may have been the Collesium Bookstore which was a Big Bookstore at one time. I saw the book- "Steal the Book" and I instinctively took it I was 11 or 12 years old and I had no idea what the book was about, but I guess the Book gave a Subliminal suggestion to me and I just took it. A clerk caught me and grabbed me and I just told him the Book says- Steal the Book and that is what I did. The Clerk let me go and my parents just strugged off the Event. I was and still is a NIce, Jewish Boy ( a much older boy now) Stealing and Shoplifting is not my thing. I read later that the book owner had to start keeping that book under lock and key because so many people just started stealing that book. I, personally think the Publishers of the Book should have insisted Abbie use another title, but that would have been against the spirit of Abby Hoffman's beliefs.
I have watched this vid so many times and I've concluded that seeing sacha discussing playing Abbie and Aaron in videocall just adds so much detail to the whole movie making

The only 2 critiques I've heard about this movie is that they didn't truly capture how much of a circus show this trial was, the judge and one of the lawyers were literally going at it verbally throughout the trial, the judge was showing racism by saying how he wasn't racist. The judge also hated these people. Pretty much, this trial was a massive waste of taxpayer's dollars because almost every decision was reversed on appeal due to the judge's behaviour. The second critique was with Joseph Gordon Levitt doing the most unrealistic legal trope that is done in every legal movie or tv show. He walked into the well and approached the jury. You get tackled if you do that without permission.
Sacha is too creative of an actor for Aaron to write for. Aaron is too great of a writer for Sacha to improv for. Together, it was one of the best roles I've seen in a long time.

Hey I loved the movie so much but i am confused by some of the things said here. If you believe Abbie never said a kind word to Tom Hayden until the end of the movie, it does not go with what was portrayed on screen, which shows Abbie making several attempts to reach out to Hayden only to be rebuffed. The comments made in the video by Cohen and Sorkin left me confused as to what movie I actually watched.
