Um... Actually! "Balamb Gardens" is not a thing. It is "Balamb Garden". Also, it is not a magic school, it is a military academy for mercenaries that just happens to have some classes on magic, but we never ever actually see any of those classes, so it's only vaguely implied because some of the students use magic. Also also, Magic in that world is something you extract from monsters, it cannot actually be taught. Do y'all not have any Final Fantasy fans on staff?
Um... Actually! Jutsu are not magic spells. Though I'm sure someone else corrected that in a future episode, because I swear I saw that correction in another episode.
Umm, actually, Supergirl originally hailed from Argo City, a surviving fragment of Krypton, not Krypton itself, so "Supergirl was never on Krypton" is true for "A" Supergirl. And we don't speak of the others :P
Mike mentions Golden Age comics (at 19:48 and 20:30), but Beppo the Super-Monkey is actually from the Silver Age, as was Comet the Superhorse - I think Krypto just skates in as "Golden Age" but his family Zypto, Vypto and Nypto are also Silver Age (these three appear in only one story ever, I think - somebody did some DEEP digging). P.S. Comet is a rare example of the Post-Crisis version being even crazier than the Pre-Crisis one.
That dress Joan is wearing looks like the meme "blue/black or White/Gold" dress. Knowing this group, I would not be surprised if it was a reference to that 😂
I never expect to hear about Brakebills or anything magicians related because they seem to be such rare references but it was nice to hear the name again
Um, Actually, Streaky the supercat also isn't from Krypton. Streaky is given his powers by Supergirl who was experimenting with a piece of kryptonite that she haphazardly just tossed aside. Only Krypto (who was sent into space as a test flight for Kal-El and similar to Kara Zor-El was thrown off trajectory to Earth resulting him arriving late) and Bepo who hitched a ride in Kal-El's ship were actually from Krypton. Krypto will also be voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the near future in an animated DC's League of Super-Pets which was a funny bit of trivia since earlier in this episode they joked about Dwayne Johnson becoming "The Metal" and also the age-old "Rock, Paper, Scissors" joke. :)
Is Balamb Garden really a Magic School™? It's been a while but my memory would define it as a military school that includes magic as part of its coursework. The focus is on training a mercenary force.

Um Actually, They shot those scenes with the porgs in Ireland, not Iceland.
I am just happy that the librarian wasn't on the monkey list, cuz that would be devastating for him))
Um...
Once again this show has surprised me with how much I know. Apparently, this time it was about monkeys because I nailed that question.
Ahhh real monsters, rocko's modern life, Ren & Stimpy, Doug, were all my jam!
Earthsea was such a good book.
I'm not sure, but I think Balamb Garden is more of a Mercenary/Military school than a Magic school.
Um actually, in Michigan you don't go into a DMV you go into the Secretary of State for getting a license
I don’t know what I love more the lean in or that he instantly got the answer.
That dress Joan is wearing looks like the meme "blue/black or White/Gold" dress. Knowing this group, I would not be surprised if it was a reference to that 😂
I want a dimension20 episode. All with questions about the great worlds of the DnD campaigns
Um actualy you say they filmed the star wars scene in "iceland" when actualy they are filmed on the skellig islands, in ireland
I never expect to hear about Brakebills or anything magicians related because they seem to be such rare references but it was nice to hear the name again
Um actually Balamb Garden is NOT a magic school. They train SeeDs (child soldiers) to kill sorceresses. It's a military academy.
What happened to: "I'll give you the point unless someone else knows more details"???
Is Balamb Garden really a Magic School™? It's been a while but my memory would define it as a military school that includes magic as part of its coursework. The focus is on training a mercenary force.
i love joan
If you can "Um, Actually" a fellow contestant, you can steal a point, lol
Only if Trapp says so, not just by default
Um Actually, Jordan should have one because you forgot to update his scoreboard after he correctly answered the Monsters University Question at 15:33
Joan getting that first point breaks the game. If you can get the answer more specifically correct, you can steal the point. I’m angry 2 years late.
ummm, actually... SNL also featured Gar'ma'Nar'Nar, three things that the announcer never gets back to and a hole in the wall where the men can see it all.
Man that cut to the sponsor ad just gave me whiplash
Um actually Balamb Garden isn't specifically a magic school. It's a mercenary school.
While I'm sure someone has already said it, UM ACTUALLY 1993's Doom only takes place in three locations: Phobos, Deimos, and Hell. You never visit Mars. And if you count Ultimate Doom, episode 4's Thy Flesh Consumed takes place on Earth.
Ursula k le Guin got me into reading when I was a teenager. I love the Earthsea series!
Kind of disappointed that Winston didn't say "At least I got chicken" after not getting the win at the end..
Um, actually Balamb Garden is NOT a magic school, it's primarily a Mercenary School, magic is just one of the many things they teach you there.
I know this is years late, but I have seen people only correcting the Ireland/Iceland mixup…
Um, Actually… it’s not that there were too many puffins to clear the shots. It’s that they were not allowed to disturb them at all because they are a protected species.
Um actually, Ged wasn't his true name, Ged was the name he went by and Sparrowhawk is his true name.
DAM! This line-up of contestants are brilliant comics...they play off each other hilariously.
You can tell Kung Fu Panda the TV series from the movies, because of that one scenery they reuse all the time with the very flat ground and four bamboo trees in the background. And obviously for the total lack of any animated 3D hair/fur.
my biggest flex is actually knowing the krypton question because supergirl was in a relationship with cosmo when he was human and it continued WHILE HE WAS A HORSE
I want a full suit episode! With fancy drinks!
Um, Actually, Balamb Garden isn't a Magic School, its a Combat School.
Um actually hobnobs are not candy. They're what you'd call a cookie.
Um, actually... Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is not a scare-based economy show, they had a toenail based economy.
you forgot to mention that the second comet (from the best run of supergirl EVER #teamprotosupergirl) was also and earth angel, specifically the earth angel of ice. BOOP
uhm actually, adjusted for inflation no film beats gone with the wind.
Riffing off the Mario Party idea for points, it might actually be fun to have a few "bonus stars" like they do in Mario Party. Maybe best joke or most interesting fact or something.
Um, Actually its is only the "DMV" in 26 out of 51 states+DC. Some it is the DLD, BMV, MVD, etc. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_motor_vehicles
I learned that from Better Call Saul.
Um actually, Mojo Jojo was a chimpanzee experimented on in a lab and, therefore, not a monkey. Mojo Jojo is technically an ape.
Theres actually a few things up with the Naruto question, least I think.
The biggest is 1000 years of death isn't a power of any sort, its just a really painful prank.
I'm also fairly sure the 8 paths technique was the thing that let's you spread your soul to other folk that Pain used, and unless I'm an idiot im pretty sure fart jutsu isn't that as much as just justification for farting in a dudes face.
I could be wrong on the last two but the first one is right
Oh my god that shout out to Chris Broad!! 28:11.
Um, Actually @18:57 the question says Krytpon, which none of those animals are from.
Well, technically we don’t know if any of those super animals show up in the world Krytpon. Not much is written about it. Many of them do, however, come from the similarly spelled world of Krypton 18:52
8:00 Um actually, In doom 1993 you never go to Mars. Just Phobos, then Deimos, then Hell
