Anyone notice Jeremy letting the others go first sometimes even though he knew the answer? What a homie.
I mean, the second he walked on stage, they knew. I'd bet brennan would give him a run for his Gil.
He even seemed happy for Ify when he got more points on the map question, what a great dude!
I really want to see a show down between him and Brennan. I think it'd be epic.
It also looks like he's making Siobhan incredibly uncomfortable, like he was hitting on her off camera.
More like a monster. He let them flounder.
Not only was Jeremy a beast, he seems like a delightful type of nerd who enjoys his things and wants you to too
Honestly this is literally the best way bringing an actual fan on could have gone. Just wholesome all around, incredible.
Dude I feel like I felt after I watched 90s Mike Tyson fights for the first time. Jeremy seems like the type of dude I’d call when I run into a problem I’m not bright enough to solve.
Thanks! And I've always felt that being a nerd should mean hyping other people up about things, not tearing them down.
@@blackwingedheaven As it should be! We're all nerds here. 🖖😁
He has a cow that he didnt want to "bring dishonor to".
We’ve found the third Titan of Um, Actually. It’s time for the ultimate episode:
Brennan Lee Mulligan vs. Matt Mercer vs. Jeremy Puckett
I need this
I think you mean fourth lol
Matt Mercer is only good because he knows a lot about dnd
I second gutz
I wanna see that
Jeremy is the first contestant in the show that says "Um, actually" in such a way that it sounds like it's actually him talking and not just playing the game.
I can't deny that I might have said that very phrase a lot in my younger, less self-aware days. XD
Yea sounds about right he's the literal "comic book guy" stereotype.
@@Reuloricsin some ways. But he isn't all cynical and mean or anything, like CBG. He seems very sincere.
Sees Jeremy in a Steven Universe shirt*
Me: They don’t stand a chance.
I've never seen someone destroy Ify or Siobhan in this game, like that
@@tunasci yea lol Ify got smacked. Hard.
Steven Universe? I genuinely thought it was a Hardee's/Carl's Jr. shirt.
I thought it was the Vietnam flag as I have the same shirt that I got from Vietnam.
@@lisarenee3505 Today I learned that Hardee's and Carl's Jr are the same thing.
Jeremy vs Brennen in the ultimate throwdown. Let's go get in the comments!
jeremy vs brennan vs matt
I need a special one on one episode of the two of them
Add matt mercer and I'm in lol 🤣
Yeees, absolutely!
Yes!
Jeremy feels like the human embodiment of the show itself come to life and he’s just a projection made so he can interact with humanity. Letting the others go first sometimes even though he knew the answers. He was toying with them like a cat with a mouse lol
I feel like it was less "toying" and more him realising that it's gonna be more fun if he isn't just super dominating.
@@Mammutidae that could also be true
@@Mammutidae I wouldn’t mind it if he was a little bit more dominating 🙂
I think we have found the final boss of Um, Actually, and his name is Jeremy Puckett.
I want to see him go up against Brennan.
Brennan vs Matt Mercer vs Jeremy Puckett
Brennan vs Jon Gutierrez vs Jeremy Puckett. Ultimate nerd battle.
@@numbvox Sadly, I don't live in LA, so it wouldn't really be practical.
@@blackwingedheaven depends how many shows they film in a day
jeremy looks like he'd be the most helpful person at a games shop. like he'd help me find my weirdly specific miniatures and paint
Tbh he looks like he would lend you his dice when you play your first DnD game
@@clokie6671 He also looks like someone who would make you mad when you're like a small kid until you grow up to realize you were being an asshat, and he was in the right
Weird projections 🤔
Um, Actually, the original idea for Sora wasn't to wield a big sword, it was actually a massive chainsaw. The Disney executives were apparently speechless when Tetsuya Nomura showed it to them.
that's somehow not at all suprising. Like a normal sword would have seemed out of place, but a fuck-off huge chainsaw? I can totally buy that
@@freakymoejoe2 Yeah, that sounds very on-brand for Square Enix. Although, to be fair, it's not like bigass swords _aren't._
Technically, according to Tetsuya Nomura, it was originally meant to be a huge sword that was "chainsaw-like", not a massive chainsaw.
@@RabblesTheBinx Um actually you didn't say um actually so no points
Two spheres of my life have collided. Of course you're an Um, Actually fan, lol
Their viewer guest was the master of the bar trivia house party etiquette. He knew every answer immediately but he let Siobhan and Iffy get their opportunity to answer before he came in, and oh he played it with such humility and genuine excitement to have known the answer! I know the type cuz he's who I try to be like. "Oh my God this was a total blowout oh wow what a what how??"😏
Not only did Jeremy win the game, he also won our hearts
Awww, thank you! =)
I can't believe Mike actually said "well actually" when talking about kingdom hearts like, he genuinely did that 😆
Heh...well, he had some (self) basis, when he created the show, right?
It’s a spin-off.
I can’t believe you called him Mike.
I can't believe it's not butter! Or that Mike hasn't seen The Expanse yet
Did you just um actually me?
Ify: *not recognizing Bumi for Avatar: The Last Airbender* "I had fallen off by then"
Me: That still is from the fourth episode of the series...
Um Actually, that Bumi is from episode 5 of book 1.
He didn’t recognize the art style either 😭
@@evanpierce7562 you are correct, I counted the first two episodes as one big series premiere
In fairness, I recognized the art style but never would’ve remembered his name. It was just far too stupid for me and I didn’t make it much past this.
Aang didn't get encased in jennamite and meet his childhood friend to get done like this smh
The reason I watch this show is to hear people like Jeremy Puckett explain how it is that magicians bend reality, the passion in his voice, he a fellow nerd.
Bring Jeremy Puckett back for more shows.
He seems like a great guy, the kind of guy who would be part of the party in your first D&D session and he would sit next to you and be like "oh, don't worry, man, I was nervous my first session too, I'll help you out" and lend you his dice and whisper tips to you and be so happy when your character does something awesome.
Listening to people talk about their passions, whether they really interest you or not, is something that just brings me so much joy. I love seeing people being happy to get talk about something they love.
Fun fact
Loki not only gave birth to a horse, but he gave birth to sleipnir, an eight legged horse who odin rode into battle.
For reference, that's odin, God of wisdom riding his nephew into battle
Um actually,,,,what they said
Yeah, Loki is the proud father of 3 and mother of 1. And only one of his children look remotely human.
@@bouboulroz He also had two normal sons, one turned intoa feral wolf(to kill his brother) and the other was killed, so his intrails could be used to bind Loki to the cave, where he was tortured.
@@brodimere Oh right, I always forget about Sigyn's sons.
Um actually Sleipnir would not be Odin's nephew because Loki wasn’t Odin's birth brother.
Also Sleipnir having eight legs is interesting because some scholars believe Loki was most likely some form of spider demon in proto-Norse mythology
I'd watch a spin off game show called Adulting with Siobhan. Anyone else?
Probably call it Goddamn Adulting with Siobhan.
Wasn’t that why she was the Mary Poppins for grownups in the CH sketch?
A reverse um actually with all of the questions being life skills and the last one being obscure and nerdy
For sure! Although to be fair I'd watch pretty much anything with Siobhan.
@@ThatInfidel1 if we're taking requests, I'd love another season of Dimension 20 with Siobhan in it, by far my favourite RP
27:15 "Um, actually, it was a dog."
"Could you be more specific?"
"A shiba-inu"
Jeremy trying to give the other two a chance by waiting to buzz but still dominating haha
He might be told to wait up a bit. It is a show after all.
Jeremy was a pretty entertaining guest, sometimes fan episodes can be awkward but I feel like he struck that nice balance
I mean the sheer knowledge imbalance WAS kind of awkward but he did strike a nice balance in the end haha.
Yeah I thought it was pretty awkward, like the obvious silence of him knowing it and still waiting. I know it's an attempt to be friendly, but to me it would come off as patronising if I didn't know and someone else waited on purpose.
Also Shioban seems really uncomfortable most of the show?
Jeremy was a beast during this. You've got to take him back for an ultimate fan finale or something like that. That was impressive!
Um, actually can we get Jeremy back to face Brennan. Get in the comments
Jeremy, Brennan, and Mercer would be a great show
Jeremy and Gutz would be an interesting head to head combo; both have incredible memories!
Man, I wish I had gotten to meet Gutz while I was there!
Um actually, In JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, the stand is named 'Kraft Werk' and not 'Kraft Work', after the German electronic band Kraftwerk.
Jesus christ
@@joshuasgameplays9850 I don't think they ever actually confirmed that the body parts in part 7 were his though.
@@wurmsrus2 they didn't 'confirm' it, per se, but they did very very heavily imply it, with the thorn crown and all
@@wurmsrus2 oh it was definitely Jesus. Remember Joseph of Arimethea’s map and the backstory behind it?
Um, actually, while the band is spelled with an E, the official romanization of the Stand’s name (as shown in art books) is “Kraft Work” with an O.
When a homie walks in with a cool teacher Hawaiian shirt on top of a Steven universe shirt. You already know he gonna sweep the competition
Jeremy was the kindest/most brutal opponent. After getting a few in a row he gave the other two the chance to answer first. Well done sir.
Thank you so much! ^_^
I think ify was thinking of the robot chicken sketch of Ranma where a guy is trying to peep when he falls into a pool and turns into a fat woman
Yes! This is exactly what I thought.
Yes I came looking for this!
or maybe his pervy dad?
I actually thought it was the scene from My Hero Academia with Minoru Mineta at the overnight hero training ground in the wilderness. They are at a spa and a giant wall seperates the boys from the girl and he tries to clim it but falls in after the young boy who was the nephew of the teachers (I think) saw him.
@@beauwoodbridge3350 Or in Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon when Bell is pushed by Hermes to spy and he falls in the pool.
Jeremy is the best thing that's ever happened in Um Actually, just pure love of trivia and a wealth of knowledge. I love the quips usually, but just an awesome fan to watch!
He is the inverse of Ally
Jeremy seems like a cool guy to hang around
Definatley the guy who you always see in the shop who knows more than the owner
absolutely
Thanks!
@@blackwingedheaven your vibes are immaculate :)
@@kajoliloli Awww, thanks!
I love that Siobhan was at zero the hole game then swept the last two questions to leave Ify in the dust.
Just glad her real life streak continues haha.
"Our last question as always concerns real life skills"
Jeremy: *puts down the buzzer*
I know when I'm out of my element. XD
@@blackwingedheaven Fair enough. You still did amazing though!
Um Actually I'm pretty sure Brennan got that question about the waxy coating on the outside of eggs and how they take it off in America.
My previous repsonse was responding to the wrong thing and I have deleted it.
Um Actually I think that when Trapp says Brennen "revealed this morning" that he had never gotten a RL Skill question, that was during the shooting of the video where Brennan gets the answer about eggs. ruclips.net/video/y18W1N6mR88/видео.html
@@jb888888888 I think you're right, but how far in advance to they film these? That episode aired 2 years ago.
@@kylebeardsley6200 this one also aired about two years ago, but only on Dropout. They didn't post full episodes every week on youtube back then. And now they're just posting all backlog episodes they have
@@ZhenyaBelov Good point, I forgot about Dropout.
FWIW I just rewatched what I think was Brennan's first _Um Actually_ as a contestant and he got the real life question half right, but not enough to get the point. So technically Brennan was wrong when he said he never got one.
my man Jeremy coming in with bonus fun facts after every answer lmao
1:57 “now I don’t have to worry about disappointing my cow” 😂😂😂 I’m laughing so hard!!
"Dishonor on YOU, dishonor on your COW!"
My god, Jeremy absolutely dominated. You could see Ify totally bummed out about it lol. At least Siobhan kept up her streak of RL Skillings.
Jeremy Puckett is like the essence of this show, given flesh
Comparatively, Ify feels like he's way too cool to be on this show, but chooses to bless us with his presence anyway
I really love Jeremy just dominating in the nicest way possible
Thank you so much!
Um Actually, there is no one on Ranma 1/2 "cursed" to turn into a child. The character that turns into a child, Hinako, does so because she received a medical treatment from one of the other characters that lets her absorb people's aura and grow up. When she runs out of Aura, she turns back into a child.
Um Actually, in the manga the character Rakkyosai, friend of Happosai, fell into spring of drowned child. This character is manga only, but the question did not specify whether it was based on the anime or manga so it still correct.
Jeremy was both charming and a beast when it came to answering. I kinda want to see more of him.
Aww, thank you!
Jeremy was one of my all time favorites, and that's difficult because I already liked the others.
Man is a beast, while being a nice guy still.
Thank you so much! ^_^
Is Jeremy giving the others a chance to answer and when they fail he swoops in with a well of knowledge?
If so, that’s a class act.
Um actually, in Kingdom Hearts 1 you don’t start on Destiny Island but instead you start in the “Dive to the Heart”, that void realm with the stained glass window pillars.
This was what I thought *immediately*
Counter-Um actually, the area with the glass pillars are representing of someone's heart, in this case Soras heart, which means his body probably still resides on destiny island, but he is visiting his heart in his dreams, possibly because of the keyboard awakening.
@@eiriklndalskotte7696 Counter-Counter Um Actually! The question says that the game "starts" in the location of Destiny Island which isn't true. Even if it isn't a physical place it is still a location Sora visits and has the game's first boss battle against Darkside
(You might be right I'm not 100% sure, Kingdom Hearts is a ride to understand xD)
@@JJPoiesidion99 I see you're correcting me on the very specific wording of the question, which is well in spirit of the game.
One unlicensed Point for you!
I would love to see a show from college humor called Adulting with Siobhan. Where Siobhan gives life lessons that we need to know
Adultery:)
I love Siobhan's style.
Siobhan is the coolest. She's just as cool in person too.

Me, who saw a brand new episode on dropout a few days ago: oh boy do i have news for you
Me Who's hoping: Did they keep the integrity of the show and not make it an agenda driven mess?
@@DarthPoyner Considering you've been watching episodes from Dropout, you tell us.

So to clarify, do you think they'll still post "Um Actually" content weekly here in youtube? I don't understand how long was the hiatus in dropout two yeats ago, if there was any...
@@JwanCortez Probably not weekly but they've already been posting early and other particular dropout episodes on YT. There will probably be breaks so that Dropout still is appealing as it is their main money source. Fun Fact: The reason Tolkien hates the Beatles is because he used to live next door to them, and was constantly kept awake and interrupted from writing by them practicing.
so like the sketch from Tenacious D's old HBO show?
Not entirely true, he lived three doors away from a band practice that played music similar to the Beatles. Not the actual Beatles themselves.

Um Actually Ify, King Bumi is in the episode "The King of Omashu" which is S1 E5
When all contestants groan at the utterance of Spelling Bee
When Trapp’s Liverpudlian accent is better than the actual British person’s XD
🤷🏼 I've seen Brits that can do a better Texan accent than me.
I, for one, welcome our new nerd overlord, Jeremy
I think they turn the contrast down a little more with every episode. It looks like they're shooting in a smoking lounge.
You wouldn't ever guess that Trapp's jacket is actually hot pink.
Their camera is probably very good. I think it’s just that they don’t color correct.
Oh my goodness! He said "dishonor on your cow"!!!! I say that all the time!!!
Jeremy is such a king in the regard that he knows essentially all the questions, but let's other people try first.
Jeremy was amazing! And he seemed super courteous and enthusiastic too, would love to see him as a contestant again!
Thanks so much! I'd love the chance to come back to the show! ^_^
WOW jeremy positively wiping the floor with his points lmao
Jeremy is some kind of supergeek, made in a secret lab from the parts of lesser geeks.
I think the best part is he almost always waited for the other 2 to buzz in first and try before he would answer.
Ah yes. Comic book guy, the fan’s ultimate form.
Jeremy was by far my favorite fan. Not only did he seem to be the most knowledgeable, but he also really seemed to fit in and actually talked and participated.
Man I really want to see Brennan and Jeremy battle it out, that would be amazing to see!
I'd love the opportunity, even if Brennan would kick my butt! XD
I love how Jeremy always waits for others to try answer the answer and then he casually answers it and gives some other interesting info about the subject xD
Thanks! I appreciate it! And they wound up cutting some of the stuff I rambled on about too. XD
I appreciate Ify saying that he "read" _Avatar: the Last Airbender_
I really have enjoyed these Fans vs Faves episodes! Thanks for doing this!
Looking at Jeremy's score, have we ever had a contestant hit double digits before?
I can feel the salt crusting off ify. He’s even on record being very proud of having an untarnished record on the show
Fun fact: Tolkien also hated the beetles cause one of his neighbors would practice music late at night loudly and it was often music by or similar to the beetles
The fact that there was a Ranma 1/2 question made me so happy. I feel so validated for watching and liking that anime 😅 Everyone I've ever made friends with have never heard of it, and it's a bummer. It is a suuuuuper horney show, tho 😂
Ranma was one of the first anime I got to watch as a complete series, and it's one of the ways I bonded with my wife when we first met!
@@blackwingedheaven that's so cool!!
Fun fact: The creator of the show Hirohiko Araki is a big fan of Western music, and many of the characters in the show are named after musicians and songs.

Is that q fun fact or somethibg extremly obvious? I mean....there are stands called metallica and sex pistols..
@@giancarlojimenez1541 it's a fun fact if you watch a dub, because you can't have those names in America, so they say something else
I'm two questions in and I'm already convinced that Jeremy is the ultimate nerd! Amazing!
Um, Actually, Brennan Lee Mulligan has gotten at least one Real World Skill: He corrects Trapp that you don't wash cast iron pans with soap and water, you just rinse the pans to avoid any of the past flavors falling apart, or something; I don't fully remember the episode. I just remember that Brennan said "I'm an ADULT! I DON'T JUST KNOW NERD SHIT!" with a voice crack in the second sentence
Um, Actually, that one was about storing eggs without the waxy outer coating at room temperature.
Now, the TRUE tournament of champions can commence. Brennan v Matt v Jeremy.
I'm so glad Loki's horse pregnancy has finally come up on this show
If I had opportunity to play but it was against Ify Nwadiwe, I would make an excuse and ask to go on a different time so I would get an easier opponent. Then this guy Jeremy just convinced me I should avoid any embarrassment and never play.
I love that you quipped 'we all love to eat breen' because on Babylon 5 G'kar tells us humans have an identical recipe: Swedish meatballs. So congrats everyone who likes Swedish meatballs, you like eating breen!
Um actually, G'kar tells his friend that it's Swedish meatballs presumably because he bought it from a human vendor, but then goes on to say that almost every race in the galaxy has invented the dish. It's just one of those weird things.
Swedish meatballs are the best meatballs.
You can feel the salt building up on ifys side of the screen as the game goes on 😂😂😂 poor ify. I’d be salty too ngl. Jeremys a monster and a nice guy, love him
Jeremy looks like he gives incredible hugs
Aww, thanks!
This guy is what this show was made for. Love it!
Jeremy played so fairly! He seemed to always know the answer, but let the other contestants struggle through all the wrong answers first :D
Thanks! As I've said in other comments, it's mostly the editing making me look better than I am! XD
Something I MUST share about Lord of the Beatles is that one of the directors they approached was Stanley Kubrik. At some point someone was genuinely trying to put together a Kubrik-Beatles LotR
The moment I saw Jeremy in the thumbnail I was like man he's gonna be good.
When there's Ify and Siobhan in one episode it's a good day
Jeremy crushed it, haha. And such a nice dude
Aww, thank you! ^_^
I also love that originally in JoJo, there were no weird spellings like Tonpetty or Robert E. O. Speedwagon. They were just straight up Tom Petty and REO Speedwagon. That was part of the legal-ese that allowed us to ever get JoJo.
I really liked that map minigame! I hope it pops up again in other episodes
Late to the party but god DAMN Jeremy, absolutely killing it!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
I think Ify was thinking about Tenchi Muyo! There's an episode where Tenchis father is trying to convince him to spy on the girls, gets surprised by one of the ladies popping up over the fence, and falls back into the boys side hotsprings
I feel like there was a very similar scene in My Hero Academia and Soul Eater
what a delightful guest!
Thank you so much! You're delightful for saying so! ^_^
Jeremy is adorable! What a gentile teddy bear of a boy; I want to snuggle/cuddle him into oblivion (consensually of course)
