Not sure when this was filmed but Ash has multiple legends (depending how you count but I'd say Melmetal at least counts) and he won Orange Islands and Alola. So, this question has actually completely flipped in the time since the episode was filmed.
Um actually, Melmetal is considered a Mythical (which is distinct from Legendaries since Gen V in the west) and none of his other captured Pokémon have been Legendaries.
Eh, guess its subjective. I still count Mythical as Legendary and think the distinction is silly. Personally I see Mythical as a subset of Legendary, like how squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. But if they are counting Mythical Pokemon as distinct, who am I to argue. The "multiples" I reference is referring to Poipole, which I do not count as Legendary, but I know some people do so, to each their own I suppose. As for the Orange League not counting, they do call it a League in the anime and he does win it, so once again it kinda comes down to how you interpret things. If you interpret their saying "Hes only won one League" as an official tournament rather than the "league" from Orange Islands, then fair enough.
@@asteroid11 beating the Orange League grants you the title of "Pokemon Champion" in the Orange region/archipelago, and the question only specifies "Pokemon League Championships", which makes you right. Even if it is a minor league, it's still a pokemon league.

After destroying whatever's possessing him, you THEN go into the reverse castle, where shaft awaits at its center. Also, egg allergies are no joke! My best friend once got screwed over by multiple "safe" foods they knew they could eat from the supermarket changing their manufacturing processes, and she ended up hospitalised after one of them. Anaphylaxis is scary af, especially when brought on by foods, cos the throat can close right up and you asphixiate to death :( They got so paranoid about what foods they could eat that they resorted to eating such a nutrient-poor diet for close to 1.5 years that they developed scurvey hahaha. We laugh now, but holy crap was it awful. So yeah, long story short, they've not had most of the vaccines administered at school / during childhood because of the way many vaccines are cultured in the albumen/egg whites. Folks like them are one of the reasons the term "herd immunity" exists, because they rely on the rest of us to get vaccinated so we don't get sick (1) and so we don't infect them (2).
My son has an egg allergy and they are scary. His allergist said he has a 20% chance of anaphylaxis. It’s gotten bad enough that we hardly go out to eat and make most things from scratch. If we go out to eat we usually go to a chain because there’s a greater chance of consistency and have to check the food allergen list and on top of that, even double check when we get there and have to make it a point that this kid could die.
Damn scurvy? Not to make light of the paranoia brought on by the incident but you'd think you'd be able to trust an orange or lemon seeing as they come with their own wrapper and the insides should never naturally come into contact with eggs. Really though that just goes to show how bad it shook them up. Sorry to hear that happened, I actually lost a friend because of a food allergy so I know it's no joke. Glad to hear they are doing better and you guys can laugh about it now.

Um actually dr doom didn’t get his scars from a machine. He got them when he put the mask on because he put it on before it finished cooling and he was impatient
One of the stories does say that's how he got his ravaged face, but he put the mask on to hide his injuries from the explosion in the lab ... which in some sources is only a tiny scar on his chin (but he couldn't suffer even that imperfection).
He got his first scar when the machine he built to reach his mother in Mephisto's underworld exploded due to an error in calculations that Reed Richards pointed out to him beforehand, which is why he came to fixate blame on Reed. His disfigurement was heavily compounded when he put on his armor's mask before it cooled.
Um actually, it’s inconsistent whether Victor von Doom’s scarred face is from the accident? I think in some comics it’s shown that the portal to hell caused him mental anguish which made him *think* his face was deformed, and it wasn’t until he first put on his mask (which was still hot from being forged) that he actually scarred his face
Yeah that's the thing with long running franchises you never know what's current canon. I knew the Bat-Mite one but wouldn't be surprised that in "Post universe reboot # 31 _Batman Adventures_ #123" there was an actual mite that Batman took as a pet.

The Orange Islands were not a tournament league. So the only tournament Ash has one is the recent win in Alola.
@@asteroid11 The League from the Orange Islands _is_ an official tournament. It just doesn't exist in the games.
I'm actually there are versions of Dr. Doom where he gets scarred because he puts the mask on before it cools.
Same version he received a scar trying to talk to his mother and it's his own vanity that causes him to seek out the mask he did put the mask on before it had cooled properly disfiguring himself
Oh wow, I got that same feeling like last time with the pixelated with the jurassic park door. I saw that image and AUTOMATICALLY I said: That´s Lord of the rings.
@@rexkreamer I swore it was Gandalf and Frodo in Moria.
@@rexkreamer It has to be related to the color palette
I wasn't sure what the specific picture was going to be but I mean... there's a big yellow/gold bit in the middle, what else could it be?
Got those nitpicky answers with both Highlander and Scott Pilgrim! I'm prouder than I probably should be. 😀
Umm, Actually, Scott has to fight SEVEN ex-boyfriends and an ex-girlfriend because he has to fight himself after Ramona leaves him, thus making himself an 8th member of the League of Evil Exes albeit not willingly.
Does scott actually fight nega-scott in the comic? Cause in the movie they just talk it out
I'm actually he doesn't fight nega Scott, he gets brunch with him
@@aayushsahay5451 Yeah both times they just shoot the shit
But if he becomes part of the League after dating her, he doesn't need to fight himself *in order* to date her. Unless either one of them knew from the onset that the relationship wouldn't last and went for it anyway, in which case wow, talk about toxic.
I never actually realised this, damn.
I'm very grateful to the graphics department for all of these video thumbnails.
Um, actually, that Amazon question has gotta be close to the most pedantic ever on this show.
In "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off," Ramona works for Netflix (because this version is a Netflix show).
hum actually, Gogo is from FFV. He was not a playable character, but defeating him gave you access to the mimic class.
Gogo is in multiple FF games at this point, with him being playable in VI. But the correction stands that the chocobo shown is the one ridden by Noctis if anyone.
@@Ashtarte3D hum actually, he said that gogo was from VI. I guess It depends how you interpret « from ». Sounds to me like from should apply to where you first appeared. I live in a city, but I’m from a different city.
I was screaming at the highlander question. "There can only be one highlander!!" is a quote seared into my brain.
Yet there are in fact 2 Highlanders. Both Connor & Duncan Macleod go by the title Highlander. Before anyone says it, yes I'm aware of Endgame.
That vaccine question’s more relatable than ever haha
To correct the incorrect correction, gogo does not originate with ff6, but ff5
Also, to everyone spouting off about Ash winning 2 league championships: he has NOT won 2. He has only won the Alola championship. The Orange League did not have a "championship" just a final gym leader to win a trophy and the title of honored trainer.
Um actually, the initial "final boss" of Symphony of the Night is Richter Belmont. If you find the correct items you can discover he is actually being possessed by Shaft. After destroying whatever's possessing him, you THEN go into the reverse castle, where shaft awaits at its center. After you defeat Shaft, you can only THEN finally get to face Dracula, the "true final boss".
I knew the exact moment in the exact scene from the exact movie just from seeing the first level of pixelation before he had even finished asking the question.
I don't know why I watch these on dropout and youtube, but here we are...anyways after hearing the Robot question, this is my petition for switching to the old movie pronunciation: "Roh-butt"
Oh, dear Dante, no. I first heard that on some old episode of Twilight Zone, and... I hate it. It sounds awful. It's disgusting. Leave it in the past with slavery and other equally terrible things.
Thanks for tao actually knowing something about these popular games during the healing question...like come on guys.
"In the Wolfenstein games, in the new ones, I think the Nazis have won."
"oof"
Trapp's necktie has Diablo 2 items on it and I have never wanted to wear a tie more in my entire life
Also, egg allergies are no joke! My best friend once got screwed over by multiple "safe" foods they knew they could eat from the supermarket changing their manufacturing processes, and she ended up hospitalised after one of them. Anaphylaxis is scary af, especially when brought on by foods, cos the throat can close right up and you asphixiate to death :(
They got so paranoid about what foods they could eat that they resorted to eating such a nutrient-poor diet for close to 1.5 years that they developed scurvey hahaha.
I am proud to say I recognized EVERY SINGLE ROBOT, and worked out the correct order immediately. 😂
Umm actually in Symphony of the night you can play the entire game through as Ritchter Belmont by inputting the name "Ritchter" on your save file. On the Saturn version you could also play a Maria by entering "Maria."
Best part is Tao picking up the robot magnet and blinking confusedly at it 😂
Interesting discussion on highlander, actually.
Here's a crazy one for you: there are several religions on the world who view the entire world as sacred. Most native american tribes believed that the land itself was sacred.
So, like... no fighting anywhere on earth, really. Lol
I don't think holy ground refers to literal ground or earth but explicitly designated space. You couldn't fight floating in a space station chapel.
@@spelcheak I believe they explained that in the tv show, because I think there was a NA Immortal, but the holy ground rule only applied to named sacred spaces
Not me getting that pixelated image almost immediately...
All that extra lore that Overwatch has (as well as the quality of the fully animated trailers) is why I VERY much want an Overwatch movie.
Has nobody acknowledged Ash actually has won 2 leagues, Alola and the Oran Islands League
and here I am remembering SAM when he was a intern on Philip Defranco...
The good old days of sourcefednerd
18:32 My father RAISED me on LOTR, so I knew EXACTLY what that was, without a shadow of a doubt. It was really nice to be able to get one of these immediately
Um actually, scott pilgrim has to fight 7 evil exes, having the twins be 2 exes at the same time
10:20 Uh oh, Trapp's native Decapod 10ian accent came out for a moment. Gotta cover that up buddy.
Um Actually, Shaft is not the "final boss" of the game. Richter is controlled by Shaft, but you have to be wearing holy glasses to see Shaft. Without those glasses, you kill Richter and the game gives you credits as a "false ending". You only go to the inverted castle by freeing Richter.
THANK YOU! I've played this game several times over (getting to Dracula the first time and replaying it to see the bad ending later) and the vague answer he gave bugged me _so much_.
I love this channel and am so happy that it is still here and continuing.
To everyone commenting that Ash has won two league championships: this episode was filmed in early 2019, prior to Ash's win in Alola.
Um, Actually is just uploading older of episodes that have previously been Dropout exclusives.
sam has brought his silliness to um actually and it is great to see!
Good real life question on this one. Also, the Highlander "holy ground rule" I believe is that it has to be consecrated. Not all sites of religious significance have been consecrated, so maybe that features into it. I think Highlander 3 is the only one where we've seen consequences for breaking that rule. And it did not involve judges, arbiters, or anything like that so what the hell.
Thank nerdom for Tao, those other guy's lack of almost any references were heartbreaking.
Oh god what is that thumbnail
Always a pleasure to see my boy, Sam Bashor!
Um actually Ahoy ahoy isn’t a full sentence
10:40 I was hoping he'd mention that in one of the last fights in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann the robots are so gigantic that they're LITERALLY THROWING GALAXIES AT EACH OTHER
Um, Actually... Scott must defeat Ramona's ex's to CONTINUE dating her and she confirms they are dating on the bus after he defeats Matthew Patel. He did not have to defeat them before starting to date her.
Omg as soon as the pixelated image showed up I was "That's the one ring for sure"
2:36 Um actually, you just lost the game
Incredibly cursed thumbnail, great job
"Um, Actually, the plural for 'Highlanders' is-"
I'm afraid I'ma have to cut you off right there. There is no plural. There can be only one.
*Edit*: Oh snap, that was actually kinda the answer. I should have waited!
Nah, the rules of the game are to buzz in as soon as you hear something wrong. No need to wait.
@@jb888888888 That is actually correct, 1 point for you!
@@Taurusus I can't accept that point, I didn't say "Um, Actually." That's practically the only rule!

That last question, thinking this was filmed pre-pandemic so dang good real life skills Q.
Um actually, Scott Pilgrim is not 23, he’s 22! It’s in like the first conversation, Kim says “How old are you now Scott, like 28? So you’ve been out of high school for like 13 years?” And he says “I’m 22. 22.”
Yeah, I thought this was the answer
He says 23 on volume 1
Then he turns 24 on volume 5
I can never guess the pixelated images, but this one I got immediately!
Um, actually Ash DID win two leagues, the Alolan league and the Orange Islands
Right?
Right
This episode first aired a couple of years ago so it was probably accurate at the time
Um, Actually Ash has indeed won 2 Pokemon League championships, the Orange Island League and the Alolan League (Probably doesn't count but I'll throw in that he also completed the Battle Frontier, facing off against many a legendary). Also, while not a Legendary, Ash has caught and Ultra Beast and a Mythical Pokemon, those being Poipole and Meltan, respectively
According to the series. The only recorded time an Immortal killed another on Holy Ground. Mount Vesuvius erupted.
The part where the Middle Earth is flat to every one but elves is why Legolas can see so far with his "elf eyes".
Never thought of that. Isn't it the other way around though? The world is Flat only to the Elves.
@@kevinbarnard355 you are correct I did mix that up, but I believe that was an official reason elves see farther.
Um, Actually, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann isn't a bot, it's a mech as it is piloted.
They don't make that distinction for "artificial" beings to simplify the game. It's been mentioned once or twice.
The moment he said to arrange the robots from smallest to largest, I knew Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann would be one of the choices.
I don’t know how I feel about spotting the mistake in the Scott Pilgrim question as soon as it appeared.
Um actually, the last question involved having real life proficiency at grammar, as well. It was stated that only a COUPLE symptoms were of note. A couple can only be two things. The statement then goes on to list a FEW symptoms (being 3 or more).
