Um, Actually: what Becca said at the end is probably the worst knife-care advice you could listen to. Sharp knives are indefinitely safer than dull knives, as dull knives require more force to achieve the same results as a sharp knife, which means they are more prone to slipping and consequently more likely to cause injuries, and on top of that they don’t cut cleanly, which can result in far more damage to your tissue, as it’s essentially tearing it and not just cleanly slicing it.
I was so happy when she knew what a niffin was, and that The Magicians were basically mentioned two times in one episode (Q being one of the wizards). technically you can use a break pad to sharpen a knife , you can also use the bottom of a mug or ceramic plate , a welding rod , the back side of a tile and many more house hold items ,as for honing you can use the edge of a sink , the edge of a mug , the edge of a tile can also work though not as good , I've also used a stainless steel for or spoons handle ,the spine of another knife and the list goes on . I like to add that i do have a variety of honing steels and many wet stones in my house but i am often too lazy to reach over to the drawer they are at when there is a mug right in front of me .I am a very lazy procrastinating person
Their banter about "half-elf" in LotR is surprisingly accurate. Yeah, the Valar thought this is such a rare incidence that they could just be their own thing. It also specifically means in their bloodline that an immortal half elf can choose mortality. Elrond's brother did so and it led to Aragorn's bloodline.

Man, dragons are awesome for breaking a game. You really gotta throw those things out there and see what happens more often. I'm in one party where we rescued a young white dragon who'd been captive by some Kobold's since hatching and wanted out. She's tagged along cause we keep feeding her and giving her a share of the loot. Then she drew from the deck of many things...and...got the Balance card. NOW she's Lawful Good. Who'da guessed.
Um, actually, Arwen IS pure elf. First off, her mother Celebrian is pure elf, and second, while Elrond was BORN half-elf, he chose the elf side, while his brother Elros chose his human side. It was Elrond and Elros who are sons of two half-elves, and Elros is Aragorns ancestor, making Arwen and Aragorn technically incestuous, albeit with many generations removed.
I think there are enough generations between Aragorn and Arwen that there is no problem of incest. Also, Elrond is getting royally screwed by the whole "half-elf" thing.
Um actually, in both the L. I think the real question becomes what is a name? Is it what we call ourselves or what others call us? In both cases, I think an argument could be made that he changed his name to Oz.

I got 11, very proud ^°^
what a blessed show
Um, Actually: what Becca said at the end is probably the worst knife-care advice you could listen to.
Matt has some low-key hilarious lines in this one. "I actually play as a dungeon." 😂
I was so happy when she knew what a niffin was, and that The Magicians were basically mentioned two times in one episode (Q being one of the wizards). I never hear anywhere about it, and the show is amazing. I think in episode with Siobhan, Julia was there as a witch on the board.
I really need to rewatch it!
Um, Actually ; at 10:11 you can see on the scoreboard that Becka has 4 points, the next immediate time the scoreboard is visible you see she has 5 points, roughly 10:14, then Mike says he'll give the points and you see it change from 4 to 5 points.
“Um, actually god damnit” 😆
7:09 i love it when the dm let's us fight an epic dragon or shows us a very nice shapeshifted dragon
god, this show is so good
I have just being binging this show and it seems like a never ending well of entertainment. I'm going to be so sad when I run out.
Umm actually whetstone usage varies on how often/heavily you use your knives, the material of the blade, and user preference. A lot of professional cooks sharpen their knives monthly or weekly
Huge fan of probably science so I was excited to matt on this episode!
technically you can use a break pad to sharpen a knife , you can also use the bottom of a mug or ceramic plate , a welding rod , the back side of a tile and many more house hold items ,as for honing you can use the edge of a sink , the edge of a mug , the edge of a tile can also work though not as good , I've also used a stainless steel for or spoons handle ,the spine of another knife and the list goes on .
I like to add that i do have a variety of honing steels and many wet stones in my house but i am often too lazy to reach over to the drawer they are at when there is a mug right in front of me .I am a very lazy procrastinating person
I don't recognize Amy not uncontrollably laughing.
That moment when you don't know anything about star wars but you know the answer from watching a different episode of umm actually
"I don't need heart points" is the biggest flex from Becca!
Um, actually, his name might not actually be Tim. There are just those who call him Tim. His actual name is unknown.
Lol. How right you are.
But is'nt a name just a word that some calls you? Unless we´re talking true names ofc
he actually did have a different made up wizard name in the original script but while filming the scene John Cleese forgot it and ad-libbed Tim as a joke but they just rolled with it and finished the scene then kept it as it was funnier
11:20 I love how it's just like, "His name is Schmendrik" and then no elaboration.
Me, a Greek mythology buff, vibrating at the Charybdis question: I KNOW THIS I KNOW THIS WHY CANT I ANSWER HHNNNNNN
Amazing eo. I feel like the last month or more has been peak content. Thanks so much, great job!
Um Actually...Negan isn't a sociopath. He understands and demonstrates emotion very well, as well as makes true personal connections to others i.e. Carl and Judith.
I immediately looked up Becca after watching the episode of dirty laundry she was on and now im even more in love aaa always happy to see Amy in these
Man, dragons are awesome for breaking a game. Who'da guessed.
um actually, kvothe is never referred to as a magician and he specifically says that what he does is not magic...
Also, Elrond is getting royally screwed by the whole "half-elf" thing.
i would legit *LOVE* to become an incaporial ball of pure maths and rage
*incorporeal

Um Actually, listen to this man ^^^
Umm actually this is TV quality content and is fully deserving of an occasional ad break, I fully agree with this man!
Um actually, that's not Oz. That's the Wizard of Oz.
Um, actually his shortened name, or initials he goes by, actually is Oz (Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkle Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs).
Um actually, in both the L. Frank Baum book (chapter 11) and the 1939 film adaptation, the wizard identifies himself as "Oz," though, as pointed out by Erik Waters, his full name (at least prior to arrival at the land of Oz) is Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkle Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs (OZPINHEAD). I think the real question becomes what is a name? Is it what we call ourselves or what others call us? In both cases, I think an argument could be made that he changed his name to Oz.
@@erikwaters Yes, I gave myself an extra bonus shiny point (not redeemable for a point on the quiz or a point in the game) for putting down his full name. I got a full 10 wizards on this (kicking myself only for missing Urza, as I've played M:TG for the past 24 years), much better than my showing on the dragons question on a previous show (where I only got 4)
Um actually in The Magicians you mentioned that dragons are introduced quickly but that aren't, they are introduced around the third season which is near the end of Quentin's scholarship.
wow got Mike Mearls cool! love all the wizard stuff too
The fictionary question pained me so much
