When SRV was done with a song, the guitar needed a cigarette! I, like Lex, find it incredible that someone could be so good at playing their instrument, that they can simply think of a sound and their hands know exactly how to touch the guitar to make it produce that sound. Then add the difficulty of doing it BEHIND YOUR BACK...AND SINGING WHILE YOU DO IT!!!
Lenny, Riviera Paradise, Life Without You, Crossfire, Tightrope, Tin Pan Alley, Little Wing, Voodoo Child, Life By The Drop, and on and on and on. Stevie Ray Vaughan is the greatest to ever live. Period. No discussion. When you say that his guitar is an extension of him, that's no joke. Stevie was a "channeler". His mind left this world when he closed his eyes on stage and his soul took over. Am absolutely unbelievable talent. I hate helicopters. EDIT: Also, Lenny - Live at the El Mocambo is what made me pick up a guitar and start playing. It is an incredibly inspiring piece of music. Please do yourselves (and us) a favor and react to it.
You Can't say "Greatest Ever"! There Were soooo many Great Guitarists!! Eddy Van Halen is one but, think about it, Clapton, Hendrix, BB King, etc! They were true Guitarists who made their sound Unique and let them Sing!
@@da_blade5040 EvH was definitely a genius, but Stevie had all of that technical skill PLUS hit you in the soul with his playing. Hendrix and Clapton are both incredibly important and influential guitarists, but neither one could hold a candle to SRV in terms of technical skill. There's a big difference between being influential or important to the craft and being the greatest to do it. Stevie wouldn't have been the same guitarist without Hendrix or Albert King, this is true. But, that doesn't mean that he didn't do it better than them. Hendrix often got pretty sloppy on stage. Stevie very rarely ever made a mistake, and when he did he was able to make embellishments that made his mistake seem purposeful. I hate "favorites" and I usually never claim anyone to be the "best" of anything, but Stevie was a once in a millennia kind of talent.

Brad's got the feel of a Bass player, he just grooves with the drummer as part of the rhythm section, and Lex rocks out with the emotional content of melody like a lead instrumental player, every good band has both elements,
And when Lex tried to groove to only the bass like Brad you could see her going back and forth and mixing the 2 together, lol. Love the attempt and spirit. Got some old school in her for sure. Must be from her dad loving the blues.
When she said was he still alive brought a tear to my eye SRV to me was the greatest guitarists ever in any genre and I'm a die hard metal head RIP SRV
The Spice Girls would be too musical for Brad. I'm sure that his headphones are broken. On the other hand Lex feels every note of the most complex of songs and when she doesn't she still totally digs the groove.
At blues maybe. There are many different sounds and styles. I don't think there is a greatest. Pick a specific genre/sound and time and you can find a greatest. At the moment I'd say SRV might be the best blues guitarist so far. I'd say Hendrix but Jimi wasn't as much of a blues purist as SRV.
Grew up on Clapton, Beck, Paige, Hendrix, BB, Muddy, and a whole bunch of others. I never appreciated how great Stevie was until after he died. I always get a kick out of seeing someone who appreciates a great blues guitar for the first time. RIP Stevie; the world misses you!
You can also tell her dummy dude there doesn't appreciate anything. I've never even seem him react to anything at all, and I've never even really heard him give up any real heartfelt compliments to any of the music he's ever listened to. She's one of the funnest people to watch react to things and he is hands down by far the least interesting people I've seen on RUclips period
This man deserves respect. He passed away at a young age in a helicopter crash in 1990. One of the best guitar players ever. Thank you both for reacting to him. An absolute legend.
"It sounds like the guitar is a part of him" - Not even 2 minutes into their first time hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan and they've already got it figured out. Amazing how fast Stevie works on people. :)
Very blessed to have been 10 feet away from him during his last concert. I knew he was good, from his albums...but I was not prepared to witness him put blood, sweat and tears into every note...so soulful & humble...one of the best performances I've ever witnessed. God Bless & Keep you, Stevie!
I was up on the lawn. My wife was watching on the Jumbotron when he started Voodoo Chile, I told her to get up and watch this- you might not ever see anything like this again. Little did I know......
Kenny Kneely and his brother would trade licks on each others guitars without skipping a beat. Great blues player (little known) but puts on a great live performance.
Stevie was just as much a part of his guitar as it was of him... every emotion there were no words for poured out his soul through his fingertips onto guitar strings that were like some universal translator all other souls simply understood!!
He always did a lot of tricks like playing behind his back. My favorite was when he and his brother Jimmie Ray Vaughn would cross hands playing the guitars, so both guys were playing both guitars at the same time. Perfectly. Must have been a family thing, cuz I've never seen anybody else do it.
Its called BLUES from Texas, i saw him play twice in the late 80's and I was blown away both times. This was one of THE best blues guitar performances ever recorded.
My 13 nephew is learning this (and nailing it), may be the only 13 year old that goes out to the shops dressed as SRV hat included... all these years later and Stevie still speaks to people
Wow he opened his eyes what an interesting reaction 🙄 he makes this the worst reaction channel in the game, Lexs soul and enthusiasm makes up for it but she is the only thing worth watching here at all. Dude is dead weight like a mf
When you see Stank face on SRV while playing you know it's pure soul running thru his body Not ashamed to say that as a 60 year rocker now in 2022. I literally broke down when hearing of his death. Third time it happened to me. First in 1977 when Elvis passed. Then in early 80s with Randy Rhoades. Then the mighty Edward Van Halen. Been so many others but these 3 artist hold a special place in me till we meet each other. ✌️🙏
I anticipated way more of a reaction from y'all. I've never seen anyone not be blown away by SRV. He's the greatest guitarist ever. I'm sad 😢. I hope you check out another like "Life Without You" at Capitol Theater. Maybe give the GOAT SRV another shot. ❤
The best EVER!!! Lex is right. The guitar was part of him. Everything by him is great but watch the 'Unplugged' version of "Pride And Joy". You (I) can feeeeel the notes he's playing. Every song he's ever recorded does that to me though.
Stevie was self-taught, didn't read or write music. He played by sound and tone. Many times you'll see him adjusting a string or amps because of what he was hearing. He was a phenomenon, a music savant and that's what makes him the Greatest Of All Time.
Lex isn't wrong, "He's bleeding guitar." There's a interview where he talks about playing guitar until the calluses on his finger tips ripped off and he used super glue to glue them back on so he could keep playing. SRV was something else. 10 Pin Alley, is another one of his songs that I really enjoy. Great videos y'all.
Oh, how I love me some TX blues...all because of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Was stationed in Abilene & he & his brother Jimmy would come up & play. Phenomenal God-given talent & passion...broke Texans hearts when he died. I've never anyone else play quite like this. Happy y'all enjoyed it (Lex just cracks me up, she is adorable & her smile is infectious)
When I got to the finals in my billiards tournaments I would have a friend put this on the jukebox. I kicked butt . It was the rhythm of owning the table, and shooting in concert with the music.
"human solo" wins the internet today. This is the epitome of playing an instrument. You want to feel the instrument and how you connect with it emotionally. That's why I love SRV, because he is so emotionally connected with his instrument that it shows with every note.
What we used to affectionately call "The Elmo" (it's in Toronto) was an amazing venue that I would often frequent. It had 2 floors and seated about 400. They always managed to book amazing acts that were on the verge of skyrocketing to fame.
I love how Lex gets any music right away and Brad has to let it sink in, wrap his brain around it, then comes the appreciation! Love y’all! From B’more!
I seen him in St. Paul the week before he was taken. My friend Max and I walked backstage uninvited, as we do, grabbed 2 beers from the beer trough and walked out into the VIP area. There we sat for about 30 minutes until Max and I got noticed and kicked out of that area. We then watched from a small grassy hill just off to the side of the stage watching the Mississippi roll by as the sun went down and listening Stevie reverb off the buildings across the river
The look on dudes face was literally just opening his eyes bigger which was honestly the most reaction I've ever seen from him. The El Mocambo is a bar in Toronto Canada It’s been a major part of the Toronto music scene since the early 1950s. Not a large venue seating around 450 people but it’s storied past makes it appealing to many major acts. In fact The Rolling Stones recorded a live album there in the 1977
Just found your channel, and agree with all the great comments about SRV. A little known (to most) piece from the same live show at the El Macombo is called Lenny. Written for his wife, it has feeling pouring from that guitar and is a must listen.
He man handles the guitar , the sheer physical strength displayed is humbling , those huge bends and chordal pulls , just mindboggling, he sheer attack its ferocious, and I've been playing 38 years so this is the shit , Hendrix and Albert King had a son his name was Stevie Ray Vaughn.

@@Chimp_Handzee I totally agree on his Skill Level how basically you could say "He Made Love" to his guitar but sadly like you did say, you can't use the term "best" and I can Agree 100% on that!
@@da_blade5040 hendrix was a trickster....he was ok....but isnt in the top 10....i think it would be hard to pick the winner of a playoff with him and tiny tim
He was absolutely one of the best. I know Eric Clapton was blown away when he heard him play and I believe said in and interview regarding his death that there was "no one better on the planet". But they're all so dang good, and use their talent incredibly, I just enjoy them all.
Imagine all he could have achieved if he was still with us. He’s in my top three guitarist of all time. He did stuff I’ve never seen done before. R.I.P Stevie Ray Vaughan
James he's alive! There are 950 ppl in witness protection many are ready to come back out.
The names and talent are the best of the best. Bowie/ Freddie/ Lennon/ Moon/ MJ/ Hendrix/ Elvis/

He's a good person who helped so many for so long.. Look forward to the celebration!!. World
peace has been reached but every country is staging a WW3 Nuke style war. Don't worry. I know
it's fake but it is still nerve wrecking!
Brad's got the feel of a Bass player, he just grooves with the drummer as part of the rhythm section, and Lex rocks out with the emotional content of melody like a lead instrumental player, every good band has both elements,
You’re spot on dude…they groove so differently…I get it!
And when Lex tried to groove to only the bass like Brad you could see her going back and forth and mixing the 2 together, lol. Love the attempt and spirit. Got some old school in her for sure. Must be from her dad loving the blues.
very well said
When she said was he still alive brought a tear to my eye SRV to me was the greatest guitarists ever in any genre and I'm a die hard metal head RIP SRV
This is why there is a big bronze statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn in Austin, Texas. He is the GOAT.
"that was actually a good guitar solo" he says to a SRV song 😂
He's the greatest blues guitarist of all time.
lol! And it was only the intro too
I bust out laughing when he said that.....
The Spice Girls would be too musical for Brad. I'm sure that his headphones are broken. On the other hand Lex feels every note of the most complex of songs and when she doesn't she still totally digs the groove.
I was like... Dude, he's just getting warmed up.
Finally, Brad actually feels it. Usually he's analytical and all about the lyrics. This one actually got to him.
Greatest guitarist of all time. Different level right here.
@@futurewavecs listen to Hendrix play "Voodoo Child", then listen to this. ruclips.net/video/wgIB1OL09H0/видео.html
obvious is obvious.
Even crazier to think that 90% of this was him straight freestyling. He never played it the same way twice
Love Lex's reactions to the musicians! You can tell she appreciates talent and good music. RIP SRV
Yes! Yes! Yes! You found Stevie.
Been listening to him since the 80's. Just the best! Enjoy!
The guitar doesn't move me.
SRV: well then, let me just play behind my back.
school is now in session!
Brad's eyes lit up when he did that, lol
Unfortunately the legend that is SRV died in a helicopter crash in August of 1990. He was only 35. RIP
Yes! Hope you do more SRV! Pride and joy is amazing!!
Stevies guitar was attached to his soul, and his soul spoke fluently, and effortlessly. Greatest guitarist we ever had. Lenny was my favorite as a kid
Lex has a great ear for guitar classics!! She can feel the blues in SRV!!! Great reaction!!!
That's not just guitar song.. it's the blues in beast mode PULLING on your hearts vibes. He's on FIRE here!
Got to see him in Aug. ‘89. Fantastic performer. Incredibly gifted yet humble. His guitar was an extension of his voice.
OMG! You guys and SRV? He was so special and amazing. Legendary! And this live version of this song is just so EPIC. Let's have some fun.
When he started playing behind his back, and Brad's eyes kept getting bigger and bigger, I just died laughing. Perfect reaction, made my day!
First time I've seen him look impressed.
Very blessed to have been 10 feet away from him during his last concert. I knew he was good, from his albums...but I was not prepared to witness him put blood, sweat and tears into every note...so soulful & humble...one of the best performances I've ever witnessed.
God Bless & Keep you, Stevie!
Damm .. that’s good stuff .. never seen him
I was up on the lawn. My wife was watching on the Jumbotron when he started Voodoo Chile, I told her to get up and watch this- you might not ever see anything like this again. Little did I know......
💙💙💙💙💙
Based on his reaction to Stevie playing behind his back, I don’t know if Brad could survive seeing that…😂😂😂
Its called BLUES from Texas, i saw him play twice in the late 80's and I was blown away both times. This was one of THE best blues guitar performances ever recorded.
The whole Live at el mocambo show was pure fire !!
My 13 nephew is learning this (and nailing it), may be the only 13 year old that goes out to the shops dressed as SRV hat included... all these years later and Stevie still speaks to people
Bro as a 15 year old I started dressing like Stevie cause I finally got the money for it and I got a hat
Makes me so happy that SRV lives on in the new generation 😭
OH MY GOD, BRAD OPENED HIS EYES ALL THE WAY!!!! That is the equivalent of a scream and a faint from Lex. I love this channel!!!
Wow he opened his eyes what an interesting reaction 🙄 he makes this the worst reaction channel in the game, Lexs soul and enthusiasm makes up for it but she is the only thing worth watching here at all. Dude is dead weight like a mf
Good man Brad you finally reacted ❤
When you see Stank face on SRV while playing you know it's pure soul running thru his body
Not ashamed to say that as a 60 year rocker now in 2022.
Lol, they aren't the greatest at reacting.
Life without you is his best song ..
I think when your a guitarist u can appreciate it alot more but still lol
@@monkeyfishfrog9739 She's good but he seems to be on valium for most songs unless its hiphop/rap
@@monkeyfishfrog9739 They react with their opinions. Much better than people pulling stupid faces for thumbnails and clickbait IMO.
The best EVER!!! Lex is right. The guitar was part of him.
Everything by him is great but watch the 'Unplugged' version of "Pride And Joy".
You (I) can feeeeel the notes he's playing. Every song he's ever recorded does that to me though.
I've been playing guitar for over 35 years and wish I had a tenth of his talent. Truly the greatest!!!
That's mostly passion and time (don't think he did much else). Where did he find the time???
Stevie was self-taught, didn't read or write music. He played by sound and tone. Many times you'll see him adjusting a string or amps because of what he was hearing. He was a phenomenon, a music savant and that's what makes him the Greatest Of All Time.
Man your eyes when he put it behind his back was epic! Love you guys!!
It is a FACT that SRV never played the same song the same way twice
Lex isn't wrong, "He's bleeding guitar." There's a interview where he talks about playing guitar until the calluses on his finger tips ripped off and he used super glue to glue them back on so he could keep playing. SRV was something else. 10 Pin Alley, is another one of his songs that I really enjoy. Great videos y'all.
I wish I could play guitar even just half as good as SRV
This is one of the best autocorrects ever, changing Tin Pan Alley (roughest place in town) to a song about the bowling alley lmao
@@BenCoultryAfishall How did I miss that? It is funny though.
@@howie0wowie I don't know man but it made my night lol

When you consider: clean, complex, technical playing…SRV is the BEST to date!
Gone too early, miss you SR!
I watch this regularly. It NEVER gets old. Thank you both
Me too.
The look on your faces when he put the guitar behind his back " PRICELESS" I hope you are trying Voodoo Child next.
Please do Voodoo Child!!
What look?
The guys face didn't change once during the entire song... what are you on about...
The look on dudes face was literally just opening his eyes bigger which was honestly the most reaction I've ever seen from him. Funny how this is a reaction channel and he does his very best to not react to anything. It took SRV playing a strat behind his back to even do the most basic part of his job. Get tf off the camera u suck as this
@@deathbunny3048 for real dude. This guy is legit the absolute worst least interesting person I've ever even seen on RUclips anywhere and he's sittin there on a reaction channel and not reacting to anything. Foh dude is wack af
You nailed it with "guitar savagery." Stevie was channeling every time he played. Check out the Live at the El Mocambo concert. He and his band just kill. One of the greatest guitar players ever died at 35 years old. He was a gift while we had him.
Yea check out El Mocambo so this dude in the hat can sit there stone faced listening to the drums (lol) rocking back & forth with that expression on his face like a cow standing in a field lookin half brain dead for 5 minutes while he acts like he didn't just see some of the greatest musical art in the modern world. Ya no thanks. Dude needs to be reading computer code and playing chess not reviewing music whatsoever
and to think.....Stevie taught himself all of this....easily the GOAT, by a country mile
To me the greatest guitarist ever... my opinion. You can feel the emotion of his playing. He makes that guitar talk.
The guitar GOAT! I'm so glad you guys are watching genius in action. RIP
Stevie Ray is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He died too soon. He is one of my favorites. A rabbit hole worth going down
Glad you got to see this! There are lots of fast guitarists out there, but this is about a sound and feeling that can't be replicated by anyone else, one of a kind. Try Hendrix at Woodstock voodoo Chile, SRV took a lot from Jimi.
SRV was so Recognizable on the guitar because no one else could do the thing he did with that crisp clean blues sound that just hit your soul RIP
All the greatest guitarists don't need last names. Jimi, Stevie Ray, Eric... We know who they are!
Steve was a guitar God. Can you imagine what he could do these days? Jesus
Stevie plays for Jesus every Saturday night at the St Peter bar and grill. 👍🏻
I like how when Brad gets surprised when he goes behind the back his eyes get huge but the rest of his face stays expressionless lol
I’m so happy. Can’t wait to watch.
P.S. BB King said that lots of people played R&B but it flowed out of Stevie.
I loved seeing your reaction to this vid. I just requested it lately, not knowing you had this in your back pages.
Fantastic song.
“I felt like the guitar was about to start singing.” This made me laugh because its exactly what i was thinking
Stevie was one of those rare souls who, the music just flowed through and into his guitar
Technically the best guitarist that ever lived.
One of my favorite guitarists. Saw him twice in the 80s. Watching him play is like being in another (better) world. The guitar IS a part of him. RIP.
Everyone loves to recommend Texas Flood, live but, I think Lenny, Riviera Paradise and Little Wing, live is better. Also you need to see him and his brother Jimmy play "Pipeline" live . . . . . it's somewhat reminiscent of this.
Yeah this is actually one of his more mellow songs if you can call this mellow
Jimmy is severely underrated in my opinion
On pipeline, Stevie and his big brother Jimmie both play at the same time on a single double Neck guitar
I can’t believe you guys are actually doing some SRV. I threw it out there a couple times but I didn’t see it getting any love from other subs. Thanks guys 😁
Brad: "That was actually a good guitar solo." smh
"smh".... my exact sentiment...lol
Ik right?... lol i could find a rap song my grandma would really like before Brad finds a guitar solo he really likes.

Just found you guys in the group reactions videos and came over to your channel. You guys are awesome and a great couple. It fills my heart with happiness to see your videos and loving rock/metal music. Stevie was the king of Texas blues rock and was in the bars in Austin Texas much of my earlier life.
