Very sad that in America we could not get a 6 speed in an e38. I would love my 740il even more if it had a stick. Beautiful car you have. Great sounding exhaust.
I have a '92 850i, and a '92 750il. Both in pristine condition. 850 is Silver, and 750 is Black with bullet proof windows. Same M70 V12 in both. 850 is 6spd manual.
That is one damn cool car,and the E32 7 series is by far the best looking to me. Some say the E38 is the best looking, and I admit, they look good too,but not like the classic of old E32 with the Hofmeister Kink and 4 round lights in the front. This is a rather inexpensive car to duplicate too because they actually made E32 manuals , but I wonder which transmission you used because they were only 5-speeds. Could find a cheap maintenance deferred E38 750iL and manual swap that too.( One of my neighbors has one rotting on his driveway right now maybe I should save it ) Saw a manual transmission E38 740iL driving in the One Lap of America rally about 20 years ago that was way cool. 20 years, GD Im getting old.
@@Andrew4181975 certainly he has LSD, look at 0:34, both wheels spin at the same time 😉 Now I don't know if 750iA has the same ratio of a 850ci with manual gear box 🤔 I would say that since the 750 was originally an auto, it should have a shorter axle ratio than an 850 manual gearbox, so maybe more advantageous also with its new manual gearbox for acceleration, in relation to the weight of the car 😊
Oh boy, looks like someone swapped in a manual. Not an easy to find transmission for this bellhousing pattern. If I recall correctly, BMW only paired the manual to the E31 8-series (for the V12 cars) around this time. Nice! Sounds great.
The original wheels suite that car perfectly. No one(except car people) prob. ever give it a second look these days so I consider that a good thing. It is too bad car people are a dying breed.
