People have to remember, Kidman has never won a SAG. Actors love her and this is the perfect time to award her SAG. Shes respected by BAFTA, she can easily win. Also If Kidman and Brody were smart they woukd do the press tour together and set themselves like a package deal and if they both win itll be a callback to both winning in 2003
Oh, hell definitely get in. He's gonna win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a comedy and once he gets in at SAG he'll be nominated because it's Searchlight Pictures.
I would love a fight to tie finish with Ariana and Zoe duking it out with someone unexpected (Michael Clayton days) squeaking through at the Oscar's. Danielle? Isabella? That would be 😁
Funny enough, A24 put out their own Actors on Actors with Stan and Colman Domingo about a month ago. And they did talk about him acting as Trump among other things.
Wicked is a baby movie, yes it is a baby movie. it doesn't matter how much it makes it will get 6 nominations at best. Win for best costume and productions design. Please talk about the serious contenders.
I don't understand why they like Gladiator II, it's very disappointing. The script is idiotic and simplistic, seems written for an undemanding and unsophisticated audience. Maybe Ridley and the screenwriter Scarpa think so lowly of viewers' intelligence that they think the ridiculous stuff like - for example - a citizen reading a newspaper in a café in Rome circa 200 AD, is acceptable. The movie doesn't even look great, it looks like a film made for TV.
Goldderby and RUclips are infested by Grande and Gomez stans and just because we love The Substance and Demi and we are being vocal about it, are we bots now?? Come on Chris. You don't have a single episode without mentioning The Substance ( negatively) so I am here to hear what you say.
We literally talked about how we don't hate this movie, and I actually like it -- I gave it 3.5/5 on Letterboxd and have it in my top 25 of the year, and I'd much prefer it to Nickel Boys, A Room Next Door, The Outrun, and a host of other "beloved" movies. I also don't think it's the best movie, and I question it's viability as a real Oscars contender -- though I think it may get in for three or four nominations. I'm sorry you think this is talking negatively about it.
I finally saw Wicked. Ariana is amazing, but I’m curious why Cynthia isn’t more in the conversation. It was her numbers that touched me more. Defying Gravity was astonishing to me. I cried… like ugly cried. I know she’s moving up, but she should be a lock, in my opinion.

Forcing actors to talk about a polarizing toxic figure like Trump is actually gross. This is no laughing matter. A celebrity engaging with Trump in any form is a magnate for toxic culture wars. Actors have the right not to want to deal with that in such a sensitive polarizing moment.
no one is forcing anyone to do anything. and actors talk about Trump all the time. i just saw a clip today of Josh Brolin talking about Trump. i'm sure plenty would be happy to do it, it's just neurotic reps gatekeeping like Chris and Joyce said.
@@nicholasmorre7371 Um, these guys are laughing about leaking the names of actors who refused to talk about Trump. How is that not coercion ??? Also, Brolin can talk about Trump unscatched because he is a white male with a traditional sensibility that is not offensive to Trump's base. Many actors do not have that privilege. Trump's goons like Elon Musk have already used their platforms like X to demonize actors who are willing to engage with Trump in a balanced and objective manner. Imagine the hate and toxicity actors will get if they dared to talk about Trump in a fair and honest manner. Not everyone wants to deal with that kind of vitriol and hate right now and they should not be accused by these critics who "not caring about the art" and "being fake" simply because they want to protect their piece of mind. What a self-rightenous and nasty thing to say.
Adam Brody. Best Gilmore Girls boyfriend and better human being. Keep your hands off any actress on stage when you come up to accept an award, Adrien Brody (and don't work with a guy with multiple rape allegations, not just the one people know about). Halle Berry confirmed later she was not happy about it. So if a guy slaps someone, they get banned from the Oscars, and if someone forcibly kisses an actress, they just get laughs and cheers? She couldn't slap him for it or act upset on stage because she would have gotten roudly criticized.
Shame on other actors for not wanting to talk with Sebastian Stan on Actors on Actors just because the film is about Trump. It's about the performance not the politics. 👎
bruh the wicked heads are drinking the kool-aid. Like its going to do well as the specific niche of the lighter toned middle-brow blockbuster hadn't been filled. This type of film does not, on nomination morning, have a high likelihood of overperforming.
Keep anti-dicting. Only helps predictors who know what's going on. PS, it's not kool-aid. It's Wicked hater tears. They alternate between green and pink because the Wicked marketing team is just that good.
@ktom5262 plenty of movies have made a billion at the box office before got nominated for BP and then didn't win - avatar 2, black panther, top gun maverick, barbie, joker, etc.
"Maybe i should put her back in" after hearing the Q&A Meryl did for Selena is the most Chris thing ever.
I have somehow resisted the urge to do this so far.
As another attendant of the Savannah film festival, I actually overheard a lot of people being into The Substance, including industry people

Eisenberg absolutely deserves a Best Actor Oscar nomination for A Real Pain.

Gladiator 2 - Sharknado
Sharknado is better. At least it doesn't pretend it's serious cinema.

Her category is just sooo competitive - legitimately there are 12 candidates for only 5 slots. I still think she'll get in though.
good God, it is a kidds movie.
@@mr29 yeah, that would be the reason she doesn't get in, but her work just spoke to me. If not this year, hopefully next year.😃

it will likely miss director, screenplay, cinematography with a chance of missing makeup and vfx
Hmm, I'm not sure. If it reaches a billion dollars at the box office it may defeat The Brutalist, Anora and Dune 2 at the Oscars.
