I love how his granddaughter was watching and excited and using the Aloe rubbing it on her arms. She was ready to eat it and explain how it's done. You can tell she's been helping him and learning for years. So sweet to see someone so young happy to learn from her elders. 😚😍

I really enjoyed this video. It was a real slice of life with the grandpa, daughter and baby grandaughter. The video was shot with a good camera and has a clean look. I love the way he shows not only all the steps but goes into the 'why' with each one.
Also love the way the camera takes a loving pan across the whole yard with his plants. Really sweet and educational.
    Thank you!

I started using the aloe Vera gel fresh from the leaf with added essential oils (rosemary, castor and peppermint oil) and the do this a a leave in conditioner and I AM AMAZED at the results!! I’ve been missing out al these years! My hair was sooo SOFT, easy to detangle and moisturized beyond belief . I am using this EVERY WEEK and am seeing promising results.
I even documented how I made and used the gel on my RUclips channel. So glad that others also recognize the benefits of using aloe in their hair!

Though aloe vera doesnt require any additional essential oils you can also add Vitamin E soft gel capsules in it . They will add to the nourishment of hair follicles. Try it.

There are many, many cures for all kinds of cancers out there. But there is so much money in chemo therapy that most Doctors are never educated on anything else.
Edit- I recently discovered that sugar feeds cancer of any kind. And also that the Drs DO know this. Why else do they give you a sugar drink when doing the cancer radiology scan? So that they can see where the cancer is! Sugar =acid which feeds cancer. Alkalinity + high Ph = healthy body that can fight cancer and eliminate it without needing chemo etc.

    • @carolynsmith1873

I agree totally. The pharmaceutical companies seem to be in the business to make money instead of helping people. Most preventions and cures are right in front of us in nature.

I only have one alo vera that I got two years ago, it was small when I first got it and now it's really big and gave two little alo veras which I have put in two separate pots. I won't dare to cut my current alo vera since it is the only big one I have. I might try that after planting two or three more alo veras. Again thank you for sharing this video and God bless the man explaining the process he seems really sweet!

I know this comment is 6 months old, but in case anyone’s wondering - a 50/50 potting soil/sand mix is good. Succulent soil is particularly good. It’s important to have a large sand:soil ratio as aloe are naturally found in semi-desert soils with very fast drainage. It’s easy to over water them!

Washing the gel cubes in ice cold water helps to remove the excess slime and improves the flavour a lot.
Have oriental friends who use two water baths, one lukewarm and then ice cold. We had the cubes with a dash of raw lime juice and a few drops of mint-infused honey.
Was out of the world and became very popular at our uni dorms, especially as a hangover cure after a night of hard partying!!!!

At 3:03 in the video he mentions- "Emodin, an extract of Aloe vera, was shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in human liver cancer cell lines through p53- and p21-dependent pathways (4). Acemannan, a carbohydrate fraction derived from Aloe vera leaf, was found to stimulate cytokine production in mouse macrophage cell line (5). It also exhibited immunomodulating activity by inducing maturation of dendritic cells (6). And aloeride, a polysaccharide obtained from aloe vera juice, was reported to be a potent immunostimulator that acts by enhancing NF-kappa B activities (7). In addition, di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), isolated from Aloe vera, inhibited leukemic cells, in vitro."

Sandra, many many thanks for sharing this vitally important information on this, I was wondering if anyone else picked up on what he mentioned about the yellow and brown resin of the leaf being used to cure cancer.
This is really worth looking into in more detail, I really appreciate the time and effort you made to share this in so much detail. I am sure many other future RUclipsrs will feel the same.
For my part I want to share some info on a cousin of the Aloe Vera, a succelent plant that has many names, it is known as Ojaransin, Aulaga, Mexican Hat, Kalanchoe Diamontretiana and commonly as Mother of thousands.
This amazing plant used to be worshipped in the past by some Native Indian tribes of the Amazon jungle.
This plant also has powerful Anti-cancer properties, as well as Anti-viral, Cures Herpes and is Anti-histamine as well as many other uses.
The receipe is to make the lower large leaves of the Kalanchoe plant into a tea or juice and drink a small cup of this tea every waking hour over 90 days and no meat should be consumed within this time.
See the links for more details.
      Hope you find it helpful.

Many videos these days are so fast and are difficult to watch. This one is purposeful and pleasant to watch, listen, and learn from. It was surprising to me that the child wanted to eat some. What does it taste like" I look forward to trying it. I was given an aloe plant as a birthday gift and need to get it repotted. Knowing how and when to cut and clean it is very educational. Thank you.

We have just started to learn your ways and many of us are glad to switch from harmful conventional medicine to our beautiful God given gifts in nature. Thank you and God bless and your family.

What a lovely video. It's a family affair. Although this video is 10 years old already, I am glad that I found it. It's amazing to me that the little girl was excited to eat the aloe, which is very bitter. It's apparent that she has been eating well and has learned lots from her granddad! Beautiful intergenerational experience. I was a little nervous when she placed her hands so close to the knife. :)

There are so many varieties of aloe plants, an ayurvedic practitioner told me that it is very important to select the appropriate one for specific uses, not all of them are used for external and internal cures. Some species ressemble so much that it's sometimes difficult to pick the right one. Some have thorns on their leaves whereas some are smooth and round in sharp. Some even have dark green peels. Some are even toxic. The one used here in this video has a very long and fleshy leaves, i would be glad if anyone could tell me what's the name of this variety and how to recognize it among other species common to it. Thanks.

Aloe Vera(korphad) was one of the most abundant medicinal plant available in India at one point of time. Not so much today. It is said that when the Greek king Alexander decided to return from India, he took huge amounts of aloe vera for himself and his army as they were all severely injured. It is one of the magical plants with lots of ayurvedic usage.

a little late to answer but .... there are nearly 300 varieties of aloe's but only one aloe vera (also called aloe barbadensis miller) and you are right: most aloe's are not for curing. once adult the aloe vera gets a yellow flower, as the others get a red/orange one

Hi, I know I'm not my grandpa ( that's him in the video) but u can just apply it like that or eat it. Another way to make gel is blend it and let it rest in the fridge. Hope that helped oh and u can also drink it as a juice. Following the same method.
