So the other part that is at the base that you did not cut for the leaf, what do you do with that? I have been removing them from the base when it gets real close. Is that okay? I am new at harvesting the aloe and I am using the plant for skin care. I would love to know I can't figure it out.

Thanks for the video! 🤗 🕉️
I would however maybe try using a peeler for peeling the skin off. Like with potatoes & carrots & such 😉

    (A bit of TMI)
I do have a question about the latex, you say it can be used as a laxative, would you add it to a tea and consume that way? I’m currently pregnant and struggling to find a natural remedy to move my bowls along

Love this video! Will cutting the plant from the base allow for new growth or does it stunt the growth?

Hi, after repeatedly harvesting the outer leaves, the aloe eventually becomes "tall" has a leg (stem) with no leaves and tips over qs new growth comes from the center and top and the bottom has no leaves/weight. Should i top up the soil?

Hi Feliz! The best thing to do when most of the leaves have been harvested and the plant is only growing from the top is to cut off the top of the stem and set it on moist soil to root. Make a clean cut with a sharp knife or clippers on the stem and include all of the new leaves at the top of the plant and about an inch of bare stem below the leaves. When you pot up the top cutting, make sure the soil you use is loose and well-draining, and the pot is in a warm location away from drafts. The Aloe will begin to root and you will now have a whole new plant. Hope this helps!

What do I do with the long clear jelly thing? Do I rub it on skin or is there more to the process?

Are you able to harvest from a smaller plant? Mine is doing amazing and I would like to use a bit of it but it’s still kind of small.

Does the aloe Vera re grow from the same part you have cut? Or will it just seal over and stay like that

I really do not know. I can't find anyone talking about this. Please lmk if you figure out about it because my plant starts to grow dried leaves out of the cut part.
