Hibernian were the first British club to play in the European cup. Aberdeen won the league that year, but they withdrew as they didn't like to play under floodlights. Hibs were entered as the Scottish representative. Aberdeen didn't play in Europe again till 1967. The one the European Cup Winners Cup in 1983, beating Real Madrid and the European Super Cup later the same year beating Hamburg. They are the only Scottish club to have won 2 European trophies.

I'm a Celtic supporter, but as our group of friends were half Celtic and half Rangers, we used to go to Celtic/Rangers matches together until we had to separate near the stadium. We used to wind each other up something savage, but in good humour. Until one of the lads brought along his workmate. He had a pocket full of darts to throw at the Jungle. The Police weren't interested. One or two people can ruin it.
