I think we both have cracking stadiums tbf, each is the perfect home for us. I can't deny the Archibald Leitch iron work at Ibrox is stunning even tho I hate the place.
My family have a huge history behind the scenes, my great uncle was the groundsman. My aunt and mum got a UEFA award which is placed proudly in the trophy room. Ever wondered how the trophys stay so shiny well years ago they would be polished by my granny Lizzie and we all got enlisted to help ❤
Brilliant young man, Brilliant. Obvs my bias is that Rangers Stadium is the best lol......But no your right that is what it is all about, the Football and the History. Excellent Video Eddy lad.
The only thing I think the Rangers stadium tour lacks is the view from the Govan stand looking into the main stand which really is quite a sight. The restaurants and hospitality up there for me is better too as it’s lighter and brighter whereas at the main stand because it’s so old and authentic it can be a little dark. Glad you enjoyed yourself in Glasgow 👍🏻
Jock Stein led Celtic to the European Cup the first team in nothern Europe to win the European Cup and brother Walfred started Celtic to feed the Children in the Eastend ,🏴💚🇮🇪💚
As a Aberdeen Fan (Stand Free) it’s A Difficult Decision which Stadium is the Best, I’m Now 56 Yrs old & Having lived through many Changes in Scottish Football & Stadium Changes throughout the Years it’s a Tough Call. Parkhead (Celtic Park) much Easier to Access from the North & The Bigger of the 2. Ibrox, Great Concise Stadium though any time I Visited as a Supporter much more Hatred against Aberdeen Fans (which is Unacceptable) than Parkhead, I Even Encountered Hostility on Paisley Road West from People When I Visited Freinds in Cardonald & I Was not wearing any Colours. This Shoulde not Be the Case, as I Like Ibrox & Have Been to Rangers Games when I Was younger, My Heart Still Goes out to All Those Who Died in the Ibrox Terracing “Disaster” Between the Two I Woulde have to say Parkhead, Even though I am Not A Fan of the “Green Brigade” I Have no Time for religious hatred & I Hope there is no issues with the the Upcoming “Old Firm” Game. Thankfully Aberdeen after a Very Poor Season Have Avoided Relegation & I hope we Will Challenge Celtic, Rangers, Hearts & Promoted Dundee Utd ( Great to See them Back) Next Season. lots of Love & Take Care Folks & I Hope you Enjoyed My Thoughts.
For me it comes down to how modern the stadiums are and Celtic Park wins on that count but only because it went through that rebuild in 98 because it was falling to bits before that and is something Ibrox could do with now as it is starting to show its age though with the troubles the club has been through i guess they are lucky to still have a stadium like Ibrox to play at.
The Ibrox tour guide spoke about the atmosphere on European nights. I watched the game against Liverpool where they were humbled 7 - 1. There was no atmosphere after the fourth goal...all the Rangers fans left.
I’m biased, but it’s Celtic park. The reason is Ibrox facade is listed building, so there’s not too many options to modernise. where as Celtic park was almost rebuilt back in the 94/95 season thank you Fergus McCann. He will be the next Celtic legend to be immortalised in a statue at Celtic Park rightly so!
im a celtic fan but both stadiums keep the history and tradition of the clubs.both clubs are massive with huge fan bases around the world.the only sad part is that their isnt much competition in spl for them,no disrespect to other clubs.be coming up for 40yrs since a team outside the old firm won the league.good video eddy.
Great video Eddy. I love your enthusiasm and don't try to take sides. You should have gone to Firhill though! You may even have seen Osprey Heights! Good lad.
i am a season ticket holder at ibrox i love your impartial look at both clubs i think what comes across here is the people of Glasgow regardless of football team are lovely people and both stadiums are outstanding and scottish stadiums are unique in a special way .
Nobody talks about Celtic being the first British team to win the European cup? No, nobody except evry Celtic fan at evry single opportunity 😂😂 great video buddy & good to see so much respect shown for both clubs & stadium. A Gers fan myself but ive nvr been the bitter type. Ive always said, i will let football make my day but will nvr let it ruin it. Like alot of others here are saying. It is kinda mental just how huge both clubs are & how impressive both stadium are even if we will nvr normally admit that to each other 😂😂 Wish we all came together more often like this against the rest of the world, instead of always so focused on trying to bring each other down. We should be showing the world instead, how huge & strong we both are as clubs with our rich history
As a Celtic fan myself jock stein was a legendary Celtic manager who led them to the European Cup final 2 times and they won it once and one day I don’t really know what year but he died from a heart attack and that’s most of the things about him
When Jock managed Celtic they were the first team from Northern Europe to win the European Cup (now the Champions League). Also the first Scottish team to win 9 league titles in a row. My Da's cousin wis a member of the coaching team for both
Been waiting for this one! Love the story about the photo of Prince Philip laughing 😂 Glad you enjoyed both tours, Parkhead far too much green to be called parade for me. However Ibrox is just beautiful and he wasn’t wrong about the European nights there. Watch the ten minutes of spine tingling celebration after beating Leipzig to reach the Europa final to see.
@Lovelee123 Paraphrasing here too but......Rangers 1 - 7 Liverpool......that was some atmosphere that night at ibrokes......place emptied after 4th goal 😂😂😂
Both stadiums blow EPL stadiums out the water. 💚💙 And if both teams were in the EPL with heavy funds they'd be in top 4. I absolutely believe it. Celtic and rangers support around the world is unmatched Don't ker wit anybody says.
Great video as always Rangers fan I would say the Rangers tour and stadium best but for sure people from England don’t realise how big both the Glasgow clubs are
both are very impressive and no need to pick one unless your a devoted fan then you will pick the club you support but both are giants in different ways and from the same great city
Both stadiums are historically breathtaking. The old firm is in the top 5 rivalry wise. And if you put both these clubs in the English football theyd be top 4 chasers in the Prem easily,, forget the arrogance other England fans show towards these two clubs,, theyd be absolute powerhouses down here.
You're right about the feeling you get at celtic park eddy, what you said about the dressing room being plain that gives it its character when you say jock stein say it like joke stein i have connections through my family history james glass who co founded celtic was my great great great grandad. As a celtic fan, I think ibrox is the better stadium for atmopshere. For ibrox is closer to the park for the fans. The stands are more square and you do feel like when your watching it, the fans are on top of the players. The noise inside the stadium when it reaches peak volume, it is like a Greek or Turkish fanbase in terms of how much the fans go for it. Whether or not its the entitled feeling, fans for celtic have because we've been winning the leagues for so long, so we expect our team to do better, and when we don't, it's a turn off. Rangers fans go for it, they have came from the lower divisions, and they don't expect to win the league every year, so I think they tend to be more vocal regardless of how the team are playing. That's just my opinion. In terms of capacity, and looks, celtic park wins. Both are beautiful dont get me wrong. Been ibrox 7 times in the away end, each time is a special feeling for the away fans. Its a cool stadium. In terms of fanbase vs fanbase... Celtic fans are better than Rangers fans... not in terms of volume, rangers win that because they are more aggressive... but celtic fan on the whole, have a better attitude and behaviour within and outside the ground. We prefer to party, and sing songs, rather than mass scale fighting with each other and others.
If the moron can explain to anyone why he thought it was a good idea to apply for a job at Rangers when he is a Celtic fan , I will wait for a sensible answer. The hatred between normal fans of both sides is what the derby is about . Thats the equivalent of changing teams . He is a fenian and literally wears a Rangers uniform . Weirdo
Great video hopefully you'll become a regular at Celtic. You'd get a different response if you were at Ibrox on a match day and they heard you were Irish! Rangers refused to sign Catholics until 1991. Also nobody wanted to go to the Ibrox tour, that excuse of the flight changing sounded like a load for shite. Haha
Rangers were signing Catholics before you were a team Pat Lafferty and signed Walter Tull a blackplaywr before you signed Gill Scott Herons father in the 50ties But keep talking shit about us when you haven't a single clue about our history never mind your own
I had the same guy when i went on rangers tour a found that he kinda rushes through it pretty fast but he is a good tour guide just wish could slow it down a little
Been to a 90th birthday party many years ago at Ibrox. Sitting in directors box etc and one of the best chef produced meals I ever have had. Both great stadiums and history ;-)!
As a neutral QPR fan and who has visited both Celtic Park and Ibrox twice , I have to say that there is no comparison between the two , Celtic Park is far superior, much better atmosphere and overall a better football event. I found Ibrox quite hostile ( even though it was games v St Johnstone and Motherwell ). I feel as well that the European Cup win by Celtic in 1967 ( great achievement tbh ) does cast a long shadow over Rangers.
Jock Stein was the manager of the Lisbon Lions. The first British team to win the European Cup. The star above the entrance represents the European victory.
I'm a big Celtic fan, but my goodness, the interior of Ibrox is just infused with history, everywhere you look. You can get a sense of the legendary players and managers that have passed through those corridors over the ages.
What a positive video you have made. The rivalry between Rangers and Celtic is intense, but without each other they are nothing. When Rangers were demoted Scottish football was so boring. Let's hope for a Rangers win tomorrow! Oh and I can tell you thought Ibrox was the best, that's ok, just because you're Irish does not mean you cannot be a Rangers fan. I lived in Ireland for 11 years before moving to Spain and to be honest, most people I met supported English teams. In Northern Ireland things are very different, so much anger and hatred, which is really sad. Keep up the good work, I've subbed and I'm looking forward to more content.
A lot over here in Ireland definitely support english clubs even over our own league of Ireland. And then we have fans who follow Celtic alongside the English clubs. I'm a Blackburn fan who also follows Celtic and wear a rovers top with red blue and white 😅 Hopefully you got on ok in Ireland following rangers, I don't really think you'd have got much abuse apart from a bit of slagging, we definitely don't see too many wearing a Rangers jersey down here in the south
@DonegalOverlanding Correction: Rangers were NOT demoted. They were liquidated. A new club ("The Rangers", aka "Sevco") was formed in 2012. It was permitted to use the trademarks of the liquidated Rangers, including its strips and crests. It was immediately PROMOTED to the fourth tier of Scottish football instead of having to work its way up from the seventh tier (where new clubs are supposed to start). RIP Rangers (1873-2012)
Loads on the Celtic tour. Eddy on his own on the Rangers one! But both amazing stadiums. Celtic being modern with modern trophies and Rangers like a 19th century museum with a trophy cabinet full of ancient silver. Whilst Rangers are busy celebrating their history, Celtic are busy making it.
I am too biased to make a fair comment, glad you enjoyed the tours! Now you need to see them on a European Night and then you'll never leave Scotland haha! 🍀 🟢⚪🍀
As the man says YNWA was sung at Celtic Park long before Liverpool. Liverpool first sung it at the cup semi final of 1965 but Celtic were singing it in the late 1950s. I was one of them.
@@paulmcgarrigle5531 According to Liverpool themselves they first sung it in 1965. I'm sure they should know. According to the Celtic tour guide Celtic sung it early. I'm sure he should know. Celtic sang it in the 1950s after a travelling troupe of stage actors played Carousel in Glasgow. After the show a group of the actor were singing it in the streets and some Celtic fans heard it and joined in. I sang it at Celtic Park in the late 1950s. So, unless Liverpool, Celtic, myself and other old Celtic fans are wrong.....
Stop talking bollocks. Anyone who knows football knows the history of YNWA at Anfield. Gerry Marsden explains why Liverpool fans adopted YNWA in 1964. Gerry & the Pacemekers were a Liverpool band you dunce. Celtc didnt start singing YNWA until the 1990s Hillsborough memorial match. Show me a video of Celtic singing YNWA at celtic park before the 1990s.
@@cooldaddy2877 pmsl @ 1950s. I love how you celtic fans are so desperate for some crecible history that you have to make up bullshit. Tell me why celtic play gerry & the Pacemakers version at the paedo dome. Why would a Glasgow club play a hit by a Liverpool band?
Celtic fans didnt sing YNWA at the biggest game in the clubs history - the 1967 european cup final yet you claim you were singing it in the 1950s? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHQAHAHAHAHA! Comedy gold 🤣
Shut up you mince pie you's only won that cup when there was only about 8 teams in it and even then it was a toss of a coin that got you through when your legs had gone and would of went out if yous had to play anymore or even taken penalties.

Well done mate good video. As a Celtic fan i enjoyed your reaction to paradise (Celtic Park) but I must say credit to The Rangers for taking you around on a one person tour making out that people were delayed when truth is their tour just isnt as popular but they also didbt tell you their true history and that almost all that silverware was won by the original Glasgow Rangers and now used by The Rangers under the illusion that it is the same club when infact that isnt the case because Rangers died in 2012 but fair play, theyce also kept the mascot and he made a nice effort to make you feel welcome 🇮🇪
@@WeegieBhoy1888 Maybe the sooner you realise you're still playing against the same club then your trophy haul might carry some merit. Otherwise letting a brand new club swipe trophies from under your nose is a bit embarrassing.

@@gogs2222 to be fair Celtics trophy haul not too shoddy last 15 years...mean a quadruple treble for starters. Matter of time before they overhaul 55,,,another 1 claimed sat me thinks.
Positives and negatives at both grounds. Ibrox capacity is well short of the number of season tickets that could be sold, and even single matchday tickets are often hard to come by. Celtic could also sell more season tickets, but tickets for individual matches are far easier to obtain around the stadium. On the outside, the approach to Celtic Park is far nicer, and that's to be expected given the upgrades that the club received from the council for the Commonwealth Games. As you've no doubt seen, the road around the stands of Ibrox is a complete mess, and the surroundings haven't been improved in decades. However, there is plenty of room for fans as they approach the turnstiles, and this is not the case around some of the entrances to Celtic Park. Ibrox has the better build quality and there aren't many restricted view seats there, but Celtic Park is a complete bowl without any gaps. One area where they match? The appalling away allocations they give to the other side. I feel it would be a far better spectacle if we returned to both sides giving the other a full end behind the goal.
I’d love to go to the game this weekend but tickets are sold out 😭🥹

I think we both have cracking stadiums tbf, each is the perfect home for us. I can't deny the Archibald Leitch iron work at Ibrox is stunning even tho I hate the place.
Hi mate I did the Celtic tour last month too,it was class. Thanks for being a good ambassador💚
Rangers have a bike in their trophy room, Celtic have the European cup 😂
The theatre off screen has a lot of secrets in the trophy room 😂
You can get on yer bike ya bufter
We have a lot of connections with the royal family 🤣poor auld Lizzie died waiting for her money!
Great video. Loved your enthusiasm and the fact that you wanted to absorb the history of the clubs. Hail Hail. 🍀
Great video. I loved that you didn’t pretend to know too much about the clubs or their history, great seeing your perspective.
This Shoulde not Be the Case, as I Like Ibrox & Have Been to Rangers Games when I Was younger, My Heart Still Goes out to All Those Who Died in the Ibrox Terracing “Disaster”
Between the Two I Woulde have to say Parkhead, Even though I am Not A Fan of the “Green Brigade”
I Have no Time for religious hatred & I Hope there is no issues with the the Upcoming “Old Firm” Game.
Any relation to Terry Munro?
What do you expect ffs. He was generalising as opposed to you cherry picking. What a stupid point to make.
They dont do walking away dontcha’ know?
That must happen at every celtic European game then😂😂 as they are always humped
Good lad.
The celtic custodian in very first clip was the one who done the tour for me in 2016 , top class guy!
i am a season ticket holder at ibrox i love your impartial look at both clubs i think what comes across here is the people of Glasgow regardless of football team are lovely people and both stadiums are outstanding and scottish stadiums are unique in a special way .
Glaswegians are so lovely 🥳

Nobody talks about Celtic being the first British team to win the European cup? No, nobody except evry Celtic fan at evry single opportunity 😂😂 great video buddy & good to see so much respect shown for both clubs & stadium.
A Gers fan myself but ive nvr been the bitter type. Ive always said, i will let football make my day but will nvr let it ruin it.
Like alot of others here are saying. It is kinda mental just how huge both clubs are & how impressive both stadium are even if we will nvr normally admit that to each other 😂😂
Wish we all came together more often like this against the rest of the world, instead of always so focused on trying to bring each other down. We should be showing the world instead, how huge & strong we both are as clubs with our rich history
Celtic claim to be the first British club to win the European cup but deny being British.
Great video bud 🍀
I'm a Rangers fan and I'm glad you enjoyed your time up in Scotland
As a Celtic fan myself jock stein was a legendary Celtic manager who led them to the European Cup final 2 times and they won it once and one day I don’t really know what year but he died from a heart attack and that’s most of the things about him
He died in 1985 at the end of a World Cup qualifier in Cardiff between Wales & Scotland.
Oh ok thanks for telling me
When Jock managed Celtic they were the first team from Northern Europe to win the European Cup (now the Champions League).
Also the first Scottish team to win 9 league titles in a row.
My Da's cousin wis a member of the coaching team for both
Kenny Dalglish is the former Liverpool player on the picture mate. Great video.
I think he was thinking Ian Rush! 😂
And he was a Rangers fan 😂
Been waiting for this one! Love the story about the photo of Prince Philip laughing 😂
Glad you enjoyed both tours, Parkhead far too much green to be called parade for me.
However Ibrox is just beautiful and he wasn’t wrong about the European nights there. Watch the ten minutes of spine tingling celebration after beating Leipzig to reach the Europa final to see.

Maybe someday.
100% especially with the fan base from both sides of Glasgow.

You're right about the feeling you get at celtic park eddy, what you said about the dressing room being plain that gives it its character when you say jock stein say it like joke stein i have connections through my family history james glass who co founded celtic was my great great great grandad. Growing up because I was a girl i got taken to sunday league games but kept asking to go to Celtic the 1st game i went to as soon as i walked up and out and took in the view i had shivers and tears in my eyes every time i hear you'll never walk alone that gets me too and the player you were thinking was kenny dalglish xxxshanna
"Joke Stein"....really? The best and most famous manager in British history is pronounced JOCK STEEN.

Well said. Its all about the game.
I know Gordon Ramsay was on the books of Rangers, but think the tour guide was being a bit generous with his profile.
Go on Eddy lad. Class kid. I'm sure he's getting a Brummie twang on that voice. 😀
Only thing that got to me was the fact that Tina turner blatantly asked for rangers to stop using her song, she must be livid up there
I think Celtic Park is amazing but architecturally, Ibrox is more beautiful.
Love this video!
Great video 🇬🇧
As a Celtic fan, Celtic has the best team and stadium 🏟️
Cracking video but I never seen the “and here is when we died” room. Did they not show you that?
Fk you, still alive and kicking

Rangers stadium is classif you go in the right weather. sadly in the middle of December I was at a game but I left at half time cause it was to cold.
Jock Stein was the manager of the Lisbon Lions. The first British team to win the European Cup. The star above the entrance represents the European victory.
Rangers need to get rid of those jumbo sized television screens from ibrox park and fill those corners with seating.
I'm a big Celtic fan, but my goodness, the interior of Ibrox is just infused with history, everywhere you look.
You can get a sense of the legendary players and managers that have passed through those corridors over the ages.
Two iconic stadiums.
Brilliant eddy welcome to paradise
Yet you had to mention Celtic Boys Club in one of your comments
@@danbreen6946 Not to mention his "the famine's over" quip in another reply. It didn't take long for the mask to slip.
A lot over here in Ireland definitely support english clubs even over our own league of Ireland. And then we have fans who follow Celtic alongside the English clubs. I'm a Blackburn fan who also follows Celtic and wear a rovers top with red blue and white 😅
Hopefully you got on ok in Ireland following rangers, I don't really think you'd have got much abuse apart from a bit of slagging, we definitely don't see too many wearing a Rangers jersey down here in the south
@DonegalOverlanding
Correction: Rangers were NOT demoted.

As the man says YNWA was sung at Celtic Park long before Liverpool. Liverpool first sung it at the cup semi final of 1965 but Celtic were singing it in the late 1950s. I was one of them.
I think you will find that Celtic adopted the song after 66, Liverpool sang it in 63
@@paulmcgarrigle5531 According to Liverpool themselves they first sung it in 1965.
