Shawn Powers for Living Proof Magazine. Shawn Powers is a skateboarder and artist from New York riding for Palace Skateboards. His art depicts scenes evoking feelings of melancholy, love, heartbreak, betrayal, pleasure and pain; with mediums ranging from poetry to sculpture. Footage of Shawn skateboarding through Manhattan in his trademark fashion landed him on the Palace team as the London-based companies first American rider; with a pro-model that was released in 2023. For Issue 6 of Living Proof Magazine, Shawn presents a variety of poems alongside photographs of a deeper look of Shawn’s life, art practice and home.
