When a beautiful song is performed by two of the best singers in the world, it's magical. Hope is restored to the world.

I wish this song won the Oscar for best original song. It was from the animated film "Quest For Camelot". It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and am tearing up typing this. This song got ROBBED! Whitney and Mariah sang well on "When You Believe" (forgot the name of the film it was from, knew it was animated). It's a pretty song but doesn't move me like "The Prayer" did. The Oscars in 1999 were pretty screwed up ( "Saving Private Ryan" losing Best Picture over "Shakespeare In Love"). Ugh!!! Andrea Bocelli is amazing and is on my bucket list of artists to see in concert.
Now if you want to ball your eyes out, watch Andrea sing with his son Matteo on a duet called Fall on Me. One of the lines in the song that Andrea sings is "I close my eyes and I see you everywhere" and when you realize that Andrea lost his sight as a child and has never seen any of his children, it is even more touching.
Celine is always pitch perfect, and known as “one take”. Many of her songs are recorded in one take, that’s how perfect they are on the first try

Guys, watch this same song with Celine and Josh Groban. They sang it a a special on CBS special several years ago. Apparently this is partly how Josh got discovered. He had to step in for a rehearsal that Andrea had to miss. Celine tells the story. Great video!

Andrea Bocelli had glaucoma at birth, but went completely blind at age 12. He is amazing in concert, I’ve seen him twice. He’s also several duos with Sarah Brightman, Ed Sheeran and others. He’s had numerous albums and is an amazing opera singer. He has been touring lately with his son and daughter, who is 11 or 12. Would love to hear more Bocelli.

I was fortunate to see Andrea in concert in London. I am a Robert Plant fan, a Freddie Mercury fan, a Karen Carpenter fan and basically a fan of pure voices and pure talent. Andrea is right up there with the absolute best.
Andrea Bocelli and Ed Sheeran singing Perfect Symphony together is stunning. They do it at Andrea's home and Andrea's wife and sons are there. It's in English and Italian (with Ed also singing in Italian too). It will give you chills! 😊 The admiration and awe on Ed's face watching Andrea sing is so sweet
I also recommended this song. I LOVE this version of Perfect and the way Sheeran looks at Andrea with such admiration is so heart warming.
As stunningly beautiful as this is and it is AMAZING, Pentatonix's version is just as beautiful and they sang theirs without instruments. So I will say please listen to their version because Mitch Grassi's voice is beyond real!!!

Oh i thought you’d done Andrea Bocelli with Delta Goodrem. Delta’s tone is liquid gold. Everything they did together is worth checking out. This was lovely though, I just find Celines tone a little harsh at times.

I envy you that this is the first time you are hearing this song. It hits me in the feels every time I hear it. So many people have covered it. There is a video out there from Celine Dion and Josh Groban that is stunning. There is a version performed by David Archuleta and Nathan Pacheco that makes me cry. It's the first time I heard 2 males sing it.

"Time To Say Goodbye" (either solo or duet) is essential Bocelli, but he also did another duet with Sarah Brightman that I really love: "Canto della Terra".
Andrea Bocelli is most famous for his performance of Con Te Partiro. You don't need to speak Italian to get it.

Celine and Andrea are great but now let Sissel and Josh Groban take you home with their singing this at the Nobel Award ceremony... Let the woman originally signed to sing the theme from Titanic take you away. Sissel still did all the background vocals for Titanic because she'd recorded them before the producers decided they wanted someone with more name recognition here in the States. Celine doesn't even TRY to hit the notes Sissel does.

Andrea Bocelli also has a wonderful duet with Sarah Brightman called "Con Te Partiro / Time To Say Goodbye", and one with Ed Sheeran called "Perfect Symphony" where Ed adapted his hit song. He had a big worldwide hit with a song called "Miserere" (Mis-eh-rare-ee) based on Psalm 51; he also does a fantastic duet with Italian blues rocker Zucchero on this song.
Attending an Andrea Bocelli concert will envoke emotions in you! I had the opportunity to attend his concert in Dallas - what an experience!

Andrea has now trained his son in opera…they perform together, with his teenage daughter playing piano…it is simply “magic” …. I can put it into any other category.
It is an epic performance that has lifted 250,000 watchers...Celine Dion and Ginette Reno "Un peu plus haut, Un peu plus loin" (A little higher, A little farther) an inspirational song. Ms. Reno was Celine's childhood idol. They sang together for the very first time.
I love this original version (there are many out there.) Their voices just bring all the emotions. At Christmas, please do the Pentatonix version. It also hits the feels every time.

You can do Celine Dion every night for a year and shine a new light on something extraordinary each time. She does Aretha Franklin such justice in her tribute (A Change is Gonna Come), but my favorite has been where Celine actually takes a back seat to a powerhouse most people in the US don't even know: in her duet with Ginette Reno.
This is what happens when you put two masters of their craft together, we experienced this with Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballet, Barry Gibb and Barbara Streisand and many others. Magic!

David Foster is a creative genius & responsible for bringing the world some of its greatest talent (two from Canada - Celine & Michael Buble). He’s been writing & producing hits since the 70’s & his for charity David Foster & Friends concerts are legendary (this was one). There are always surprise superstar guests in addition to the official line up. When I went in Vancouver the still alive & luminous Olivia Newton John surprised even David and my 13 yr old Grease loving self’s night was made. This song, The Prayer, has a great star making story attached and I was lucky enough to see that version at my gala. When this song was new, Celine & Andrea were going to be performing it on the Oscars. It needed to be rehearsed the day before & Andrea’s flight from Italy was delayed. David is always good in an emergency and he remembered a voice teacher he respected in LA raving to him about a student of his he wanted David to hear (he sang opera). So imagine you’re a 17 year old boy who didn’t even know your teacher had been talking you up. Your phone rings and it’s David Foster asking you to come rehearse Andrea Bocelli’s part for the Oscars with Celine Dion. Young Josh Groban thought he was being pranked. Once he was convinced it was real he was terrified but agreed. There is footage available on RUclips of this rehearsal and I’m glad someone took some. He’s so terrified, Celine & David are so sweet and gentle with him. Then once it starts he loses himself in the music and you can see how shocked & thrilled everyone is to hear this masterful and angelic voice soaring from the nervous teenager. Before long David was producing his albums, he was touring the world and he and Celine have sung this many times. A song so beautiful, from a great writer / producer became not only a huge hit for two angelic stars, but also discovered a new one.
Also, if you haven’t reacted to Dimash’s SOS yet, you must, like yesterday!! lol He’s probably the best male operatic singer I’ve ever heard. The range is just phenomenal.
