OMG big shout out and THANK YOU Bob & Brad for this video. I have experienced foot pain on the top of my foot and was advised that it is probably arthritis due to my age (69). Well before this mornings walk I skipped two eye lets and viola NO FOOT PAIN....in fact I shaved almost one minute off my walk time! This is HUGE for me as I am working on getting off the couch and into some type of shape. I have noticed a huge difference in my discomfort level....my knees are better, prior to starting I could not walk across the street without wanting to sit down. Now I have more energy, feel better, sleeping better and look forward to my walks. It was a struggle the first few weeks as I had ZERO muscle tone in my glutes or any other muscle, now I am actually enjoying figuring out a plan that works for my body! You guys ROCK!
I also have top of feet arthritis with very large bone spurs. My pain is mostly managed with the following: supporting shoe inserts from my Podiatrist's office (the support from the underside is a GREAT help); in summer I wear ECCO Yucatan sandals a lot (great support); SunSoil brand CBD gel tabs once per day & a turmeric + other spices blend for pain (in non dairy milk). My Podiatrist also prescribed a compound pain formula, but I rarely ever need it. He told me about the surgery & I will do everything I can to manage the condition & to avoid having that surgery, unless it becomes absolutely necessary. He says physical therapy could be helpful & if this worsens, I will ask him for a prescription for that. Good luck for staying free of pain.😊
I've always struggled with my feet. Couldn't get shoes to fit, and what I did get caused blisters and calouses. Now in my older years, I finally went to a podiatrist who talked about my high arch and instep, and the lack of padding on the sole of my feet. He sent me to a place that makes orthotics, and even prosthesis for amputees. I feel like they are geniuses. Had to buy special shoes to fit the inserts, and though still not perfect, I can walk. Now, I still get calouses that have to be removed from time to time, and now am getting one on top of my baby toe. I have to figure that out, but all that you showed was very helpful. Hope I can find that rasp you showed, Bob. Thanks, as always, guys. I'm a big fan. Lynn
I also wore high heels in my 20's. What a mistake that was. Now I have bunions and foot pain. The thing that helps me the most with the bunions are the fabric sneakers with memory foam. Sketchers sneakers / shoes have been great for me!
Thank you so much for ALL your videos and for all the laughs!! But boy ....if I knew then what I know now. I use to be shocked awake from the most intense foot pain. It happened for quite a long time, but has since subsided. I never want to experience them again.....but if I do ....this information will be my immediate go to. Thanks so much and again...thanks for the laughs...."We're very intellectuals" I'm laughing with not at. You guys are amazing, I have learned a lot by watching!!
I use a tennis ball and do wall stretches. I also bought a pair of wide shoes. My toes were being squished in regular shoes. Helps with the plantar fasciitis. Thanks men!
I didn’t know you can wear yoga toe spreaders walking around I just used them at for sleeping. I now start wearing them during the day. Thank you for your program. I am a subscriber 😀✋🏼👍🏼
Last winter I started having a mild pain in the feet and found out later it was because of the heating mat that I had under my work desk was adjusted to a bit too high a temperature. I lowered the temp and the pain was gone in no time.
I use something like the Yoga toes but it's not quite as large a separation between toes. But it also adds a little silicone padding under the ball of my foot. Unfortunately my toe box of my sneakers doesn't allow me to wear them. I do wear them around the house with my Birkenstock slides.
I was really suffering from plantar fasciitis until I found one of your other videos. I got a massage gun and did stretches, which helped, but the thing that really worked was relatively inexpensive drugstore brand arch supports. The pain is gone. Thanks!
Bob could you advise how long your wife keeps the toe separators on and what time during the day. How long does it take before you see a difference? Does it cause the bunion to get smaller or is the only benefit that of reducing pain? Thank you for your fantastic videos gentlemen!
I have never worn high heals (simply could not walk in them) I now believe I have a ‘tailors’ bunion at 55 yrs if age on the side of my left foot and one developing on my right with painful toes underneath - please can you recommend any foot support? Thankyou
I am a male senior citizen from india. I watch your shows regularly. In my left foot, just below the 2nd toe it’s painful when I press it- as if there is something protruding but actually it looks and feels normal. Can you suggest something to get rid of the pain? It hurts when you press it otherwise while walking it’s not disturbing.
Questiin u saw youre video about piriformens syndrom and this one now the question is can pitiformens couse intens cramp in the foot so bad that the mushle feels as hard as bone im walking with this for 8 years now and no one here in the netherlands knows what the couse is
I always associate microplaning with food prep - cause that's how it was introduced to me (and most folks). Now, I have seen a stainless steel pedicurists foot file, which is a bit less aggressive. I giggled on Brad's comment lol. I also have a great foot messager and diabetic shoes. And, unfortunately, neuropathy
My arch feels like it is tearing when I take a step, & my foot feels like it is constantly being crushed. My doctor said it was neuropathy since I'm diabetic, but the medication she prescribed is not helping. I can't see her again until March. I just want some relief. I am on my feet a lot, but even on my days off they hurt. My right is worse than my left. I also do have bunions & I'm going to order some Yoga Toes, so thank you for that tip. Does bunions cause your big toe to feel like it is being poked with a hot soldering iron? Thank for these tips. Will try a few.
Hello, do you have any tips on Charcott foot? There are a lot of us out there, but not much information in the mainstream. Most people Including doctor's don't know anything about the subject. It is terribly debilitating and painful. I would be most grateful on finding non- invasive ways to prevent any more damage Sharon
Great info. but can this relate to kneeproblems, as too tight calves makes foot less adaptable which then may (or may not) influence ability to caretake adoptability in kneejoint?
What would you guys recommend for diabetic foot pain / neuropathy? M friend sometimes can’t seem to get any sleep because the pain is so bad. He wants to at least be able to sleep as a first step… What do you think would help the fastest? What are your long term recommendations?
I was just diagnosed with Tailors Bunion, which is the small toe. Brad might have that. Have to go for minor surgery to correct. Good information guys, I am trying some shoes from Two Rivers Treads in West Virginia, Mark Cucuzzella MD. I like them so far.

What brand are the shoes with the wide toe box? Thanks! Love your videos! Wish I had found out about the yoga toes 15 years ago! I had bunion surgery on both my feet and have so much trouble with my feet now!
You must be psychic! I've been having terrible foot pain in both feet for months now (since starting a new job + getting new shoes months ago) I figured being on my feet more and breaking in new shoes some soreness is normal, but now it's so bad it's paralyzing sometimes medial foot pain accompanied by painful heel and tight feelings day & night. I have CF & and muscular condition that causes me widespread tendonitis all over so I assume it's going to be muscular, so i'll try stretches and things you've recommended in the video because my doctor is probably going to tell me to do this exact thing, and if it continues I'll go on about seeing him. Thanks for explaining stuff out!
i have been having problems with my connective tissue for years so my feet hurt constantly, I was told that the whole bottom of the foot is connective tissue so it makes sense. I have found help with massage, Voltaren cream (OTC) stretching and arch supports with wide toe shoes, no more cute shoes :( they aren't worth the pain
For mild cases of lateral foot pain, a person can rest and use over-the-counter medications to reduce swelling and relieve the pain. In more severe cases, a doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatory medications. Try ice massage for 5 minutes and rest
Question outside this topic. Age 71 male will be having right shoulder rotator cuff surgery. I only use resistive bands and cycling for my exercise routine. What, if anything, can I do attempt to keep up my exercise using resistive bands? ~ Thanks ~
Informative and useful. I hoped you will cover Morton's neuroma, I was kind of surprised it was not in the list, so it's an eye opener that so many other issues are more prevalent.
I have foot pain after 5 weeks from fall resulting in fifth metatarsal fracture. Not sure is this is normal. Pain has spread to ankle and some toes too. I feel spasms too. No swelling, brusing, or severe pain though. Started putting weigh after 2.5 weeks per doctor, as tolerated. Guys can you help you with some advice please?
I’m 70 and was told I have PTTD. It’s very painful. It’s only on my right foot and was told to get a special brace. I have to go to a place and have one made. Just wondering if this is a common problem or if it’s rare?
PTTD is a very common problem, unfortunately as you get older tendons aren't as flexible and the blood supply around the ankle is poor. Therefore healing the area is slow. An ankle brace and supportive footwear is great for this problem. If you are close to rupture you may need a cast type device. Please speak to your health care professional about any concerns.
Here's my foot pain story: in my mid-twenties, the transverse metatasarsal arch in my left forefoot collapsed causing bad cramping pains and weakness. Saw a podiatrist who gave me an orthotic with a metatarsal dome which worked well. Then I developed a huge Morton's neuroma between the 4th and 5th toes in my left foot which I had excised fifteen years ago. Since the problem first occurred, the fat pad under my left forefoot has atrophied to the point where I'm in constant pain and feel like I'm just 'walking on bone'. In addition the weakness and instability in it has affected my whole leg and caused severe OA in the left knee. So I had a left TKR eight weeks ago and am now recovering from that. In addition, twelve years ago I developed Sinus Tarsi Syndrome in my right ankle which crippled me. I has a subtalar arthroscopy five years ago for that and subsequently developed a neuroma on the Sural nerve at the arthroscope entry point on the rear of the ankle which crippled me as much as the subtalar joint problem. Has a radiofrequency ablation on the Sural nerve fourteen months ago. However because of the added stress on the right leg after the knee surgery the Sural nerve pain has returned. I truly have the 'feet from hell'.
What about pain in the ball of the foot? I’ve been getting it there in my left foot only for a couple years now. More like stinging feeling. Any ideas as to why and what I can do?
You might develop it if you participate in activities that involve running and jumping. There are other causes as well, including foot deformities and shoes that are too tight or too loose. You can do the following: Rest your foot when you can, especially after periods of activity. Use an ice pack for 20-minute intervals every 2 to 3 hours Use orthotic insert and take pain relievers wear a comfortable shoes and manage your weight if you are overweight If pain persist try going to a physical therapist

I also talked to the doctor & she had an x-ray done and all that was shown were the heel spurs.
We often sleep with our feet and toes extending away from the rest of our bodies, a position called plantar flexion. This shortens the calf muscles, making them more susceptible to cramping. Other factors that may contribute to nighttime leg cramps include sedentary lifestyle

Why have Cramps at night when I go to sleep at night my Name is Scott Zolltheis
We often sleep with our feet and toes extending away from the rest of our bodies, a position called plantar flexion. This shortens the calf muscles, making them more susceptible to cramping. Other factors that may contribute to nighttime leg cramps include sedentary lifestyle
Don't tuck your bedding in tight, it forces your foot to extend down. Also, drink more water. Dehydration is one of many causes of cramps.
I found taking a magnesium supplement will stop cramping.
