    YES! Matt Chapman is a gold glove caliber player. Great defense in the hot corner...Quick on the draw with that gun of an arm.

    Matt Chapman and Nolan Arenado are the two best defensive third basemen in the game today. I had the privilege of watching Chapman, Matt Olson, Chad Pinder, Max Muncy, Joey Wendle, and Renato Nunez all on the same Nashville team in 2016.

    I'm impressed by his throwing accuracy. Unreal... Not so much the glove but the throw in positions he threw the ball in

      Thinking the same thing. He has a cannon for an arm. I would bet it is a combination of genetics, hard work, and talent.

      Chapman attributes much of his arm strength to throwing lots of long toss in winter ball. You may notice he plays especially deep - near the outfield grass -

      Maybe for a few innings or a couple of games but Semien has been the A's SS since Chap has been in the league and Sem doesn't take days off. But as much as the A's shift, Chap is often slotted in that hole.
