Machac had a clear game plan of playing behind Carlos and wrong footed him throughout. He executed well. Machac also knew where Carlos would anticipate when at the net. Machac did that perfectly !

Thanks for the insightful analysis. That being said, we must also understand that winning streaks always come to an end sooner or later; they imply stacking loads of physical stress, mental fatigue included, in your system and one day you will be beaten. Well done Mahac..what a performance....outclassed lil Alcae...The kid is getting beaten these days by quite a few of the agile, athletic and talented on the ATP tour......and so he learns a vaulable lesson....when you perform at a level that is higher than most, you will triumph over them initially, BUT human nature is such that their level will rise as well, its how we humans compete....and if you do not have higher levels to rise to.....defeat will stare you often in the face...as is the case these days with Alcaraz.....for me. he still is the most talented tennis player I have ever seen.....but talent alone will not determine whether you will be the GOAT......ask Novak...he has been there done that...AND still doing it...the GOAT, BOAT, KING, LION, LEGEND, the one, the only....the NOVAK !!!
