Chuck, from Plymouth MA, love the thumbs up! I have back issues and have stayed away from “fast back swings” that led to balance issues at the top. This forward positioning of the club during the 3 centers is worth a try. My Maxvert1 keeps me in the fairway, but at a slight cost of distance. This might be the key to regaining lost distance.
I'll take those drills to the Club tomorrow Tod ,I'll speed my old 82 year body in the smash zone( I'll see how it goes) I m watching you from Victoria AUSTRALIA TOD Love your stuff I'll be watching Cheers mate
Hi Coach, I hope you and all are well and in good health. I've been so busy the last few months learning a new airplane. The training is finished and it was long but successful. Tuesday back to golf if there are no flights. I have 2 separate games, one in the morning and the 2nd in the afternoon/night. I'll try this out to get back in the groove. Many thanks, and I'm looking forward to more videos. P.S. Nick 👍 is a MUST!!!!!!!
Love the thumbs up. Question -- have you ever shared what stretches you recommend for experienced golfers both (a) off the course (for daily work) and (b) on the course (when you feel your lower back tighteningup)? If not, can you do so?
Really enjoying your videos. I have been looking at possibly purchasing the Maxvert driver. I live in the Washington DC metro area. I switched back to my Wilson Launch Pads and have been playing much better. Gotten down to a 25 hcp.
I kind of disagree from a personal view. I notice no difference in distance from a fast or slower tempo. However, faster take away screws up my weight transfer. To me it's all in the swing path and quality contact. That said, I'm 64 and my club head speed at impact is about 110 mph. I swing hard. I tend an even take away, slight pause to get my weight going forward then rip through with the club. Sloppy? Probably.
@@majscrap2629 110mph is moving! Good for you. Most golfers your age are not close to that. You may find out book enjoyable also. See here www.badliegolfbook.com/
Enjoy your work immensely. Love Nick's thumbs up, too. Watching from Edmonton, Alberta. Wonder what you think of the squat move. I'm 62 and working on the squat in my back swing. It's a work in progress, but when I hit it I'm gaining 20 yards. I think it's helping me reduce some overspin. Any thoughts?
Allan Patrick - New Brunswick, Canada The downswing can be a problem, as the clubbed speed needs to be gradually increased to it's maximum at impact and this timing can be difficult. At least for me, the tendency to start out quickly from the top prevents me from getting the club head speed to its maximum at impact. Speeding up the whole swing makes it even tougher for me.
Keep Nick and his thumb! I continue to have problems with backswing speed being important, other than maybe helping rhythm. If the club does not STOP before the downswing, it is unlikely to find the sweet spot.
I purchased a Maxvert 1; but am curious if another version with a higher loft might be in the works. Cypress, TX nearing 75 yrs. I have read that hitting the ball higher results in more distance. Your thoughts please.
Prior to my hip surgery, I was using theVLS. ( bogey golfer) Afterwards, more mobile, I thought I could change my swing and play better . My game is in the ditch haha. Back to basics. I have a tendency to hit behind the ball( 1-3 inches. Or top it. What video can help with this. Hoping to rebound.(71 yr )

The club head should be at max speed after impact due to the release of lag.
Good point. The timing and tempo of the downswing is hard to explain ut is critical.
