This Casio is so multi-purpose, I use it as my alarm clock (like the fact that it only beeps for 10 seconds and the sound itself), I use it as a reference to set my mechanical watch, and last but not least, I use it as my beater watch - it survived the sea-holiday filled with a lot of swimming and jumping from the cliff - no harm left. With the appealing design as a cherry on the top, I have to say that I love this watch!
Looks good, has a stopwatch, world time, alarm, etc, AND solar, AND radio sync. And you can take it for a swim. The only thing it doesn't have, with all this functionality, is obnoxious size.
I considered getting this model, but went with the LCW-M300D-1AJF (module 5110), which has two LCD displays, 4 pushers and a function/power meter sub-dial. It does not have an analog second hand. I liked the clean look of the LCW-M100, but felt the LCW-M300 allowed better access to the watch’s functions and had the heavier solid link bracelet. I also purchased the Lineage LIW-M610D-1AJF (module 5174), which performs all the usual Casio functions with analog dials. I previously purchased a Wave Ceptor WVQ-M410DE-1A2JF (also module 5174), which uses the folded link bracelet like the LCW-M100TSE and does not have the full metal construction of the Lineage watches. Both of my Lineage watches weigh 117gm while the Wave Ceptor weighs 86gm.
Have the same watch but the model with numerals. Best watch I've ever owned, and for me the closest to perfect of any watch I've seen. Solar, atomic, ana-digi, perpetual day/date, titanium, sapphire crystal, LED, standard band width so easy to customize, timer, stopwatch, alarms, world time, and under $200, a truly exceptional value.
Ben made a vid that tore apart other reviewers. Making many many reviewers look bad. Awfully bias. He is a massive jerk and has the maturity of a teenager. If you watch his big vid about the RUclips reviewers being paid, you'll see that even someone like RR fails all of bens test of what a good reviewer is. Ben is a clown.
I have had a Casio Tough Solar with the same movement for several years. Mine has a resin case with a stainless steel shroud so it is also light weight. Mine also has an acrylic crystal which I like better than mineral because I can buff out any scratches. The directions say to leave it on the window sill at night to receive the World Time signal but I find it receives the signal fine wearing it sleeping. My model is still available online for sub $100.
This Lineage model has Sapphire crystal, not mineral. Also, it's smaller and titanium so it's lightweight too. Drawback are titanium scratches easier and costs more
Great review. That bracelet is COOL! If it had solid end links it would be tough to beat! Overall, that’s an amazing package! I might have to grab one of them!
Thank you for addressing the micro adjustment. I was wondering about that. I wish there was more than one, but better than none. And that tool to remove and add links is bad a$$.
Hi. I am having trouble getting back to the day and date showing on the display. No matter how I toggle the menues or the lower right button, I end up with just the local time on the display. Can you help me please?
Great review! I just bought one of these. My only complaint is the bracelet. Do you have any recommendations for a solid link titanium bracelet upgrade?
I love these Multiband 6 Ani-digis. I got the cheapest one I could find and alas the bracelet was garbage. It's a hard choice between one of these in titanium and an Oceanus, though.
Love your videos Rob, I'm a big fan. Been really struggling though lately with the volume dropping so much when you zoom in. Hoping that isn't permanent.
Sorry for my English I don't know what's wrong with this watch it have all the strength point in one watch but very rarely you see it in watch channels even with casio lover them self
annoying thing about this watch is that there are only three buttons. So when you set the alarms etc, you can only navigate upwards and if you miss your number you need to cycle through again. I wish it had 4 buttons
Great video. I am in Australia and wondering if the time sychronisation radio function will work with this watch or for that do you need to be in specific regions?
As of right now, there doesn't appear to be any multiband radio signals in the southern hemisphere. Just southeast Asia, most of north America, and Europe. Strange they don't put one in the middle of Australia considering all the military activities on the north coast
Australia shut down Radio VNG in 1987 (due to lack of funding), so we don't have radio signal. You can use an Android/Apple app though, and it will sync that way. You can use a task scheduler and have it come on every day so that way it'll sync without manual intervention

Do you wear it on the bracelet??

My (almost) daily watch from one year ago, I'm very satisfied with it.
Ben does a great job on super affordable watches and is brutally honest and a great sense of humor.

His voice is annoying though. He always goes up in a high pitched squeak kind of thing at the end of every sentence or every couple words.
I got the white dial with Arabic numerals last year, and it’s been my go-to ever since. There’s also blue AR on the underside of the sapphire
might you share the reference number?

I have this watch and it is brilliant. Hint; change the language to one you understand b4 starting with the settings.
Готин и за мързеливи собственици е чудесен.
Always been a fan of analog/digital watches. Looks great.
Very nice travel watch. Love that the bracelet is easily adjustable, but only 1 micro adjustment may be an issue. I'm putting it on my shopping list.
Casio is amazing!
Sapphire, tough solid, multi-band 6, and a great size! I hope these are still available!
i would add a day indicator very useful
Is it solid titanium or folded?
Ultimate bang-for-buck watch

@@yogiyoda It is also easier to remove scratches, if you want to, but I chose stainless.
Nice designed watch! Thanks for review!
It's a decent watch, but the bracelet only has a 2 hole adjustment which means it can be difficult to an exact fit.
My only negative with this watch is the bracelet, i wish they just made solid links instead of these jangly quick adjust ones
Great review. That bracelet is COOL! If it had solid end links it would be tough to beat! Overall, that’s an amazing package! I might have to grab one of them!
Its amazing and a shame in the same time that this watch can hit the second hand markers perfectly and the Longines Conquest* not.
Not to mention Seiko, while my cheap watch for Aliexpress is perfectly aligned. Like wtf, Seiko?
Thank you for addressing the micro adjustment. I was wondering about that. I wish there was more than one, but better than none. And that tool to remove and add links is bad a$$.

casio lineage 170td 1aer
@@PR_Skipper It doesn't have solid end links.
Just put it on leather strap
@@holmes426I'm considering getting one and putting it on a leather strap.
Didn't look too small on your wrist I wonder how will it do with my 6.5inch wrist
i have a 6” wrist and i can shockingly pull this off really well.
It's disappointing that there is no month / day of month display option. Only day of week and day of month.
That's superb gorgeous 😍
Bracelet is so loud it might wake up my baby every morning putting it on. Lol
Made to wear overnight

Oceanus if you can afford it
I just bought a Casio Lineage, but it has the "old" link system. No holes. Are these special models?
Oh cool I hadn’t realised the lineage range had any ana-digis. Amazed you hadn’t stumbled across Ben’s channel!
I like those. Nice and simple.
Love your videos Rob, I'm a big fan. Been really struggling though lately with the volume dropping so much when you zoom in. Hoping that isn't permanent.
It’s the iPhone issue, only thing I could do is go back to old one and 1080p. Think I should?
@@RandomRobReviews not an iPhone guy here. You'd think there would be a way to address that without taking a step back. Lav mic?
Very nice ⌚
Does it have the hourly alarm?
Yeah
I just ordered this same model from ebay. I sure hope it's not a fake.
Is this the exact watch as the one shown in Ben’s review? The dial colour in Ben’s video seem to be grey’ish whereas this one looks like a black dial.
It is the same watch
On my list
I want to have this, but I'm in India. I'm wondering if I can change the time according to India. Is it possible?
Yes, as a last resort, you can set the time manually
Of course you can.
Sorry for my English
I don't know what's wrong with this watch it have all the strength point in one watch but very rarely you see it in watch channels even with casio lover them self
will buy!
Nice watch. It's a pity that it is not made to be able to swim and dive a little.
It is, it has 100m water resistance.

Just bought one!
I'd like to get one too, where did you get it from Alan?

Great looking for the price and functionality
Ben is a clown. But this watch is great.
That link system is 1000x easier than pin and collar.
I’ll just spend the extra $$ and get a G-Shock mudmaster….more than likely the GWG2000.
Different watches. This is dressier, more suitable for the office.
@@stevec5465 but, trying to find one is the trick. I found a couple different Tissots I like.
@@rong.2457 Kool. Let me know when you find one that you like.
G-Shocks are the best beaters. (I am wearing a Casio Riseman when typing this.) Casio Lineage are great office watches. G-Shocks - not so much.
whats the water resistance?
50 meter. But Casio still says you can swim with it.
On eBay atm for £100 or abouts
Just say no to hollow end links...
I should get rid of most of my Rolexes.
