Very nice job overall. A few observations: Since this tool has an aluminium body, an earth connection is mandatory; Nothing against the colour, I liked it, but a "vintage tone" would be more fitting (or leaving all bare metal); A test would be nice to see. Keep the good work.
I showed at the end of the video that the drill works and of course it looks better than it did in the beginning, I didn't test because I didn't think about it, I was too excited about how this drill looks and I couldn't wait to post the video on youtube. Thank you for appreciating my work and I invite you to see my other videos 😊👍
I own the exact same old machine as an heirloom from my father. It still works, is loud as hell, and looks just as old and used as yours did before the restoration. After watching your video, I think I'll get to work on getting the machine looking spiffy again.
That’s wtf I’m talking about... when a man can take something that was on its way to decomposing under trash for the next millennium, and make it BETTER than when it was brand new. There is something special about that. Looks amazing great job.
Very nice refurbishing project. The paint job looks great. I hope it can stay that way when being used. I have an old corded drill that I am working on. But instead of paint, I am going to powder coat it in hopes to keep it look good as long as possible. Thumbs Up!
What dissolvent ? And what are the two polished caps on Btm. fore & Aft ? Have you found any history of this tool or does the data plate reveal? Great painting skills and facility. What buffing wheel ? Thanks for posting.
Nitro thinner, sorry but forgot to record these caps, yes i fond on websites and also it's on plate, thank you, cotton buffing wheel, I thank you for comment it's really imporatant to me 🤗 have a nice day 😁👍
you got me, unfortunately I did not put new bearings everyone makes mistakes, but thank you for pointing out to me now I will be careful about such mishaps😊 I hope you like the rest 😊👌
@@customrestoration5317 Yes , I liked it a lot. I am in the motorcycle-restoration business. Its my defect that I put 80% of my attention to the technical part of the job and only 20% to the finishing and "shining" part. When I discuss with my customers I explain to them that the technical result has to be at the same level or better than from factory , and about the optical finish we can discuss about the amount of care the customer is willing to pay. I am absolutely bored of seeing shining old motorcycles at meetings which need twenty kicks to start.
Thank you for watching ,dont forget to like and comment this video you can also subscribe my channel for more restoration 😃
You have great content too!

Nice job. Why not powder coat instead
Very good idea but I don't have the right things for powder coating yet, but I think it will change over time, adn also thank you for comment buddy 😊
I found a leaflet online with these AS, ASy & ASz drills, the date is 1934 with them
That's interesting, thank you for that 😊
My rotor is dated May 1964
Curious you didn't show us that it actually works and can drill a hole.
Yes you are right it's my fault. I am just starting to record videos but I will try to be better and better 😊👍
Did I miss something or didn´t you bother putting new bearings on a 100 year old drill?
