Same thing man, For Whom The Bell Tolls Day On The Green intro is the reason I have 7 bass guitars and 1 guitar 😂 rip Cliff, Ray, Jan, and Scott 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
When people ask me what's my favorite gospel song I can't help but say Creeping Death! It's very funny seeing peoples reaction to it! To me the song really captures God's anger and frustration with Egypt to send the mist through the streets. I think the way the lyrics speak in the Third person of the mist is brilliant. Never gets old.
Finally, a mix where the added bass isn’t completely overpowering the other guitars. Those are what made me love the song, and now hearing it with more balls is amazing.
Krik and James inspired me to learn on the guitar, but after listening to Ride The Lightning album with bass enhanced, this is tempting me to become a bassist. You rock Cliff!
[Verse 1] Slaves, Hebrews born to serve To the Pharaoh Heed to his every word Live in fear Faith of the unknown one The deliverer Wait, something must be done Four hundred years [Chorus] So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born Pharaoh son I'm creeping death [Verse 2] Now, let my people go Land of Goshen Go, I will be with thee Bush of fire Blood, running red and strong Down the Nile Plague, darkness three days long Hail to fire [Chorus] So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born Pharaoh son I'm creeping death [Guitar Solo] [Bridge] Die, by my hand (Die) I creep across the land (Die) Killing first born man Die, by my hand (Die) I creep across the land (Die) Killing first born man [Verse 3] I rule the midnight air The destroyer Born, I shall soon be there Deadly mass I creep the steps and floor Final darkness Blood, lamb's blood painted door I shall pass [Chorus] So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born Pharaoh son I'm creeping death
yeah ... it is. I don't think you realize how many fills are going down that you can't hear. Even in master its still pretty low. Kill em all was the only album where u could kind of hear his fills. Listen to a bass only version and you'll know understand what I'm talking about.
i know what you mean. I heard fight fire with fire the other day. and it blew my fucken mind away at what he was doing to make the guitars sound much more stronger. Especially during the chorus.
There's a reason that Metallica hasn't remastered any of their 80's albums yet. It has something to do with not messing with perfection. all their other ones on the other hand.....
Cliff was an asset. He really made them.I was so bummed when I found out he was dead after I got into them.I went album to album from their start and once I got to justice for all I was like wtf happened?
that is retarded. Surely you don't call yourself a Metallica fan. Some of their greatest music came during and after cliff's death. Jason was more of an asset than he ever was. Facts
I was going to jokingly ask if anyone had made a video setting this to clips from the animated The Prince of Egypt movie, but they HAVE, lots of them! lol
Just tune this a half step down, add much more reverb and not constant tempo (lars is a legend 😁), and you get what would Metallica sound live with Cliff...
There is an echo effect added to James voice in this song? I don't remember this on the two official versions of this CD i own. Great to finally hear the bass better!
@Doomzdayxx Yeah well I was refering to the bass intrument and not the bass in general. The album itself is great. I wish lars admitted he used a tin can and not a snare on St Anger haha
@kiren77 That's the sound they were going for at the time, besides James guitar's mids are so scooped and bass so prominent, the songs didn't need bass guitar. I will admit though, if Cliff were alive it would of sounded even better, but as it stands, it's one of their masterpieces, that's just a fact. And it's comical that the guys in the band knock on the sound of the album years later, and then put out an shithole album like St Anger. That snare drum GAWWWWD
Ride the Lightning is a hmm let's see...10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000568,0000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10! Ride the Lightning=best album(:
@kiren77 I just hope those guys don't try to go back and "remaster" any of those 1st four albums like dumbass Mustaine did to the Megadeth albums, but I don't think that they'll sink to that level. I could give 2 shits about black album, loads, and St Anger though.
This album is the reason I became a bass player. RIP Cliff
Nate Fontana likewise.cliffs the man
Nate Fontana this album is the reason i picked up a guitar
Nikhil Sharma
Same!
Same thing man, For Whom The Bell Tolls Day On The Green intro is the reason I have 7 bass guitars and 1 guitar 😂 rip Cliff, Ray, Jan, and Scott 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

William Robinson Exodus is one of the best biblical stories to write about because of its depiction of God during its "angsty teenage years"
I hate to be this guy but is it gospel of it's its from the old testament? I'm seriously asking because I'm not sure
@Matt Bowen exactly,God is supposed to be infallible and all powerful but he has so many inherently human weaknesses and character flaws in there
is there many people asking your favorite gospel song?
geekrockrats Yeah it’s from Exodus.
You can definitely hear Cliff's bass. RIP Cliff

Thank you. I have lots more on my channel, please check it out and share :) ruclips.net/p/PLHYfKCY-fy0Y5w7jk21Uq660fMdnTGTY1
Damn shame the bass didn't shine on the studio version like it does here, makes the music sound a helluva lot better...
This is my favorite MEtallicA's song, it is so fucking AWESOME!
Krik and James inspired me to learn on the guitar, but after listening to Ride The Lightning album with bass enhanced, this is tempting me to become a bassist. You rock Cliff!
The backing volcals of Cliff gives it the right rythm to this song
When ever I hear a bass enhanced James voice sounds empty
just like the live version
fuckin cool.. I wish they would remaster their cliff albums .i would buy it all twice or three times
me 2
Best album i love old metallica !
[Verse 1]
Slaves, Hebrews born to serve
To the Pharaoh
Heed to his every word
Live in fear
Faith of the unknown one
The deliverer
Wait, something must be done
Four hundred years
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
[Verse 2]
Now, let my people go
Land of Goshen
Go, I will be with thee
Bush of fire
Blood, running red and strong
Down the Nile
Plague, darkness three days long
Hail to fire
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
[Guitar Solo]
[Bridge]
Die, by my hand
(Die) I creep across the land
(Die) Killing first born man
Die, by my hand
(Die) I creep across the land
(Die) Killing first born man
[Verse 3]
I rule the midnight air
The destroyer
Born, I shall soon be there
Deadly mass
I creep the steps and floor
Final darkness
Blood, lamb's blood painted door
I shall pass
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
I can feel the bass in my skin :D nice work
Cliff Burton the best!!!

Thomas Stenhouse Nah I’m pretty sure that’s an opinion
This is Simply Amazing. Great job!
thats awesome, i always liked the song before but with just cliff playing make it more killer
Caramba, o baixo realmente aparece, muito foda esta.
I was going to jokingly ask if anyone had made a video setting this to clips from the animated The Prince of Egypt movie, but they HAVE, lots of them! lol

@Evin07 I'm sure they did something similar during one of their gigs back then. =P

@kiren77 I just hope those guys don't try to go back and "remaster" any of those 1st four albums like dumbass Mustaine did to the Megadeth albums, but I don't think that they'll sink to that level. I could give 2 shits about black album, loads, and St Anger though.
0 dislikes, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!!!!
@Doomzdayxx listen to the mastering of AJFA and focus on bass... do you hear any? That's not perfection
Well please tell me what he was talking about :(
@yoohootube Not to mention "The Ten Commandments".
@TheRattlehead13 Still 0 dislikes, one month later. =D
I think you misunderstood what he was saying.
Much better
The album is a 3/10? Now what in the fuck?
5 people have no fucking eardrums
How? lol
awesome ... 1 more notch on the bass tho. I love the solo bass and drum. The album was 3/10 .. this is 6/10 ... 7 is perfect. maybe 7.5 lol.
lolz it was a joke
Imagine how good these guys could of been with a real drummer???
oh fuck off, "muh lars sucks bandwagon"
