Wish music today was like this! Simple, catchy, feel-good, puts you in a good mood....thats ALL missing from todays music. I don't even listen to it anymore!
I haven't listened to current music in at least 3 yrs. Actually no need to I'm listening to music over 60 yrs and have more than enough great songs, thousands upon thousands to listen to. Also no fake Autotune
I grew up in the 60’s & 70’s .. best music ever!! I love this song!! First saw it performed on American Bandstand with Dick Clark!! Even got Go-Go Boots for Christmas!! 🎄
just like this song in the movie Gwyneth Paltrow plays Rosemary a girl who Hal love even though she is a little overweight he loves her unconditionally
Lead singer Tony Burrows was a lead singer for hire! He had 5 one hit wonders with five different groups, Three of these, including this one, where on the top 40 at the same time! The others where United We Stand, My Baby Loves Love, Brotherhood of Man, and Beach Baby!
Love your reactions to this ,it takes me back to my childhood. Great choice! Thanks ❤❤ if you want a classic early 70s fun catchy tune try "little willy " by sweet" or "dizzy"by Tommy Roe . My older sister played this kind of music all the time. Give one a whirl! 😅❤
This great upbeat song was out in the spring of 1970. Yes, very catchy. A one hit wonder here but I believe they had more songs in the UK. Lead singer, Tony Burrows had 5 hit songs out at the same time including this cool song One of my favorites was United we Stand by the Brotherhood of Man
There is a real lighthouse in Cornwall UK, called the Eddystone Lighthouse, which was the inspiration for their name, and at least one of the band still lives in Cornwall I believe
That chorus is one of the best ever. I'm transported back to my 70's childhood when i hear songs like this. Check out the music that was done on, The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch. Same feel good songs that take me back.
If I remember right, this group was not a touring group but it was comprised of studio musicians that put out songs in the studio... As I remember this group had 2 lead singers... Tony Burroughs was one and I can't remember the name of the other one... Great song from the bubble gum era... Great reaction guys...
Aw, Yes a catchy tune. Used to hear it on the radio all the time. It gave the vibe for those early 1970's, just coming out of the hippie era. The kids dressed in denims, floral blouses & plaids but they were not necessarily hippies.
Yall gonna react to Adam’s diss to upchurch? “White rapper” I’ve seen some people say it wasn’t a diss, bullshit. Adam brings up too many things that singles upchurch out, like upchurch calling rap a sport

Agreed. It's like the music has gone evil [like the world].
I haven’t listened to new music since about 2000 lol. It’s all lame. 😊

Even the kids don’t listen. The old stuff is now super popular thanks to reaction channels like this!
Asia has one of the most beautiful smiles on RUclips.

Great memory from my youth, I was 19 and life was fresh and new and I loved this song.
Aahhh this brings back memories!!! I started moving asap when the music started 💃🎶💃 🥰❤️❤️
One song that gets stuck in my head all the time. Lead singer Tony Burrows was a one-hit-wonder with five different groups, a record that still holds.
“My baby loves lovin” by
White Plains and “Beach Baby” by First Class are two of those songs sung by Tony
Bringing a smile to the face says it all
This song was in the movie Shallow Hal.
just like this song in the movie Gwyneth Paltrow plays Rosemary a girl who Hal love even though she is a little overweight he loves her unconditionally
My mum played this all the time when I was a kid early 70s , miss you mum

You forgot Gimme Dat Ding, by The Pipkens!
Right! The guy in this video is lip syncing. That’s not Tommy. Amazing story!
Used to sing this on the playground swingset with my bestie, it was just a happy song and easy for a little kid to sing 😊
A wonderful love song.
Still gives me goosebumps 53 years later 🤗
Wow, blast from the past. 😊

Well,it actually reached No 1 in the UK at the end of January 1970
Number 1 in the UK the week I was born. Feeling old. 😔
It was released in1970 here in Australia.
There is a real lighthouse in Cornwall UK, called the Eddystone Lighthouse, which was the inspiration for their name, and at least one of the band still lives in Cornwall I believe
The chorus is pure pop heaven
That chorus is one of the best ever. I'm transported back to my 70's childhood when i hear songs like this. Check out the music that was done on, The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch. Same feel good songs that take me back.
Was 9 when this was a number 1 in the UK.
My parents played it a lot and we used to dance in the house. lol
This was one of the first number one songs of January 1970 so it’s kinda both 60s and 70s
Love this song
This is the definition of a happy song! It may not be technically difficult, but it is catchy. The guys in the band have nice voices.
I still have my 45 of this. Loved it!
this was a sort of "bubblegum rock" whose lightness and sweetness was a kind of counterreaction to the dark acid/metal rock that was current in 1970.
I used to sing along to this on the school bus with my friends lol 😊 still makes me happy ! x

The touring group that did the follow up hit and an album and this promo film was Greenfield Hammer from the bristol area after an audition.
Aw, Yes a catchy tune. Used to hear it on the radio all the time. It gave the vibe for those early 1970's, just coming out of the hippie era. The kids dressed in denims, floral blouses & plaids but they were not necessarily hippies.
Love it! Lots of positive memories😊❤
2 minutes of absolute charming pop perfection that just makes you feel good! Perfectly produced, sung, arranged -- it all comes together on this one.
It also went to number 5 in the US on the top 100 Billboard...
Try listening to " I love you more today than yesterday", by Spiral Starecase. Its fun and catchy with a good beat!❤
This is one of those catchy songs that hooks you right away and you never forget it.
Wasn't this at the end of "Shallow Hal"?
What a melody! I am a lucky fella to grow up in the 60's and 70's.
No matter what we all need a rosemary in our lives, someone to love unconditionally, even though she is not perfect
Check out "Beach Baby" from First Class - great 70's vibe!
This song is also from the movie "Shallow Hal" with Jack Black.
February 1970. Her hair is wild and free, her clothes are not that stylish, but he still loves her.
Nothin' better than good vibes!!!
Love to see younger people appreciating older music.
The Song Was Released In 1970.
Skating around the Roller Rink to this back in the day!
I dance to this with my wife all the time.
This song came out in 1970, Asia and B.J.
Record was released in1969. I was 16!! Not 1971.
Great memories! I miss this kind of music.
1971 the song was released
I heard it in the spring of 70 in the USA
One of this boomers fav songs🔥👍🏻 Thanks for the morning smile
At the time this came out I was 17 in January 1970, I met my first girlfriend and we were so happy 😃. Those were the days, a long time ago 😊.
This Song was released in 1970 not 1971 🎸🥁
British band with an American sound. (At the time)
Keep feeding us,we’ll polish it and sell it back to you.
This was considered cheesy to us hard rock nuts but we all loved it because it’s so damn catchy!
School disco. Learning to dance to this. Love it. Great times.
This Song Was Showcased in Movie ",Shallow Hal" Starring Jack Black & Gweneth Patrow Inceedible Movie Deep Topic
To all the girls who are non-conventional, who are unique and true to themselves...
Rosemary is a hippy.
I think they have played part of this on a commercial.
Great Reaction 👍🏼 👏🏽👏🏽
Was it Tony Burrows that really sang this song with Edison Lighthouse? Whatever it is. I love this song.
Yes it was.
Came out in 1970.
Freshman year. Great memories.
The man lip syncing is not the person who sang. Tony Burrows is, & he’s a 5 time one hit wonder singer via 5 different groups incl this one!
My godmothers name is rosemary ❤❤❤
A good song when I was 15 years old.
I think they also did "Let's Go To San Francisco"
Asia, you look stunning.
Inspired my first screenplay
Wow! Asia is looking mega-fine in this video today!!! Very beautiful!
This song came out in 1970 as well as a lot of other great songs came out that year. Again this great song came out in 1970 not 1971. . .
Hey that is a great video! I say it's probably the early 70's.
