My 30th, the wife and I went to Sante Fe for a week taking RT66 a good amount of the way. Such a cool place IMO. Spiral Staircase and the mountain pass drive would have been good stops in Sante Fe. Solid video per usual sir!
Great video, thank you! In case you’re still there, or go back, the drive from Santa Fe to Taos is photo worthy along the Rio Grande it’s like America frozen in time. Old gas stations, signage, old stores. The way back if you go through Chimayo you can photograph the 1850 Pueblo style church there, and have a great lunch at Rancho de Chimayo restaurant while pounding a cold barley pop .. Back in Santa Fe, check the Georgia O’Keefe museum.
Used to go out to ABQ for work in a past life. The Acapulco Burrito stand on San Mateo would freeze a bakers dozen of burritos for the road for us. Loved Old Town.
I grew up in Santa Fe - I’d definitely check out Meow Wolf next time you’re there. Also, Del Charro was a good choice, they make a great burger there too. Santa Fe has a ton of galleries and some great hiking, there’s also a Frank Lloyd Wright house up in the mountains too. Nice shots, was fun to see a different perspective to places I know very well.
Great video as always! I was in the crosstown rival, Santa Fe, just a few weeks ago myself. I took a Canon Sure Shot 90u II and Cinestill 50D. It ended up being overcast the whole time I was there and was worried about such a low ISO film handling it. Put the photos came out nice. And it was cool to see my friends. Your film stock has some epic grain!
@@BadFlashes not kidding. I used to think film was just more of a hassle, but now i realize i don't like the images as much. It's ok for some specialty looks, but you can get those with filters, etc. But that's me. Btw, i live in burque! Best weather of any place I've ever been, besides maybe San Diego, and who can afford that?
Great video as always, but what is up with the grain in the blue sky? (about the 5 minute mark), In fact the grain is kind of extreme in most of the color photos.
The drive from ABQ to Santa Fe is beautiful but it seems you enjoy man made views vs natural views of canyons, mesas and mountains. A little disappointed that you didn’t seem to capture the beautify of ABQ or Santa Fe. Lighting can be difficult due to the harsh lighting from the elevation/sun. Hope you enjoyed New Mexico!
I've got to say the muted colors and the grain didn't grab me. Would have preferred more punch for the subjects. B&W was awesome, loved the contrast, especially in that hotel sign behind the trees. Regardless of the subject or your treatment of it, your posts are always entertaining.
Regardless of any other differences the coffee is always better with Caleb than with Jason. 💯 FACT Not going to lie, I loved the old Ford, but for the rest of the colour shots I was distracted by the grain. Got to the point I was thinking “mebbbbbe it’s just me?” till the b&w kicked in. So mebbbbe it’s not? Or it’s just my weird mental discomfort with Lomo and having liked the palette more than I wanted to admit I had to find a problem? Anyway, congrats for getting thru 3 different stock with just one camera and only mentioning you wish you had a different stock loaded once. Was nice to see it can be done 🤭
Coffee thing is 100% true… And Jason knows it too. Hahahaha I definitely understand about the grain. It really leans into one overall vibe and isn’t something I would shoe constantly. Black-and-white sick thoooo
Not feeling this Retrochrome at all. I know it was midday, but all the shadows were lost or muddy, colors look unnatural, and the grain was just too much for me. Can't help to wonder how much better they would have been on TMAX or Gold. Good video, terrible filmstock.
caleb be like: “jason we need to cook”
You know how we roll

That’s a fun memory:)
Photo-eye is always worth a stop in Santa Fe if you are into photo books. The Pantry is a great place to eat if you are hungry.
omg could have used this back then 😆😝
Great video, thank you!

You appeared on my feed first, what kind of sorcery just happened?!?! 🤯
I’m blowing up that’s why. Lol

I've got a new appreciation of digital photography.

It’s expired slide film lol shits cra
@@BadFlashes That makes me feel better. I thought it was the Lomo Color 92 Summer Edition. I have 4 rolls of that film sitting here.
Well the middle part of the vid was that stuff sooo….. 🤷🏼
I think that Lotaburger location was a former Los Pollos Hermanos!
Hahaha I’m thinking so

Sorry… I was also dead ass tired haha
11:28 "Ultron" sounds like a character from Transformers (and yes Iron Man as well).
Oh yeah!
Fantastic shots. As always.
😜🥰😍

I get it for sure. Glad it was still entertaining:)

Hahahahhaahaha love this. Thanks
Yo Caleb! What lens hood do you have on your 28mm Ultron?
Haoke LH-VM13p ... hope that helps
I had the urge to listen to King of Rock and Roll by Prefab Sprout after watching this.
Love 💕
Caleb if you somehow managed to not eat any green chile, then I'm afraid you have to go back. That stuff is the real crack.
It was yum yum yum for sure
Did they put you up at the crown plaza?
Nawwwwwwwww
Almost certain the film you were shooting on is about the fires that happened in my areas around 2018
😝
@@BadFlashes your secret is safe with me and the rest of the comment section
"The Land of Enchantment" I think it needs overexposed Ektar colors.
Im inverting Ektar now lol
@@BadFlashes this is why I watch every video of yours, you’re an alright guy.
Hah I appreciate it 😜
What are you using these days for you video? A Sony A1 with a GM 24-70 f2.8 II?
Hahaha I don’t have that money 💰
Sony A74 with a 24-50mm lens

Thanks a ton
What is up with all the grain ? It looks like iso 1600 on a half frame camera 😆 great shots though
Well that’s what you get when you are rocking some expired vibes
Nice video. Colors look faded! I prefer make eyes bleed! Bravo.
🥳🙌🏼🎞️🌪️🍾
Weren’t we supposed to get some Portra 800 shots out of the Pentax 17 in this vid?
this was like 4 months ago lol
@@BadFlashes I still remembered….
@@VariTimo influencers got their promo videos out, now nobody cares about the p17 anymore it seems
@@Fauxbourg I care. I love mine. It’s so much fun.
I won’t have. Proper review on it until much later when I put way more rolls in it
Ich mag den Bre einfach.
You are saying Lomo chrome. It looks like FPP lomochrome by the color of the film cannister A bit too grainy for me. Your black and whites are nice.
🍾🌪️🎞️
That “Camera Shop” is the biggest lie in SantaFe. The lady in there yelled at me when I asked about film. 2/10 cannot recommend. 18:33
Haha hats. Film. Same same 🤪
No BBQ in ABQ?!
That was my tri-elmar video 🤭
I hope there's a pizza & a roof in this video! 🍕 📷
Hahahahaja got to watch the whole thing to find out.
