hi! you can change the siri-setting under 'accessibility' in your settings! it's at the bottom of that submenu.. or you can search in your settings for 'siri' or 'always listen for "hey siri" :) hope this helps!
Question from a purely English speaker: but do you find you can read just as fast in English as you do in Dutch or is it about the same? I’ve always wondered what it’s like reading a book that is not in your native language and if it affects how you read a book. Can it depend on the translator if it’s a English book to Dutch too? Sorry for the rapid fire questions I’m just curious ❤
Hiiii! That’s interesting! I think english feels so natural to me I read it just as fast as Dutch. When I was learning french for example, I would really have to concentrate reading, but with English, it just feels like more of an intrinsic thing. I do notice that I sometimes connect deeper to books in Dutch or that books in English can feel like more of an escape. And there’s def translations I like more and some I like less! Depends on the style and choice of words.
I have The Cloisters on my tbr, good to know about it being based in summer time, I will pick that up soon. Also yes can 100% relate to being an introvert that likes to go out and do things but it can be so exhausting.

I think it’s because I read The Girl Who Fell Beneath The Sea last month and I loved it so much that nothing I’ve read since then is as good. It’s nice to know I’m not alone!

as a fellow introvert, i also love to spend time with my friends and do fun things and go on full day outings! most of my anxiety does come from knowing i'll have burn out eventually and not knowing when it will happen and having to deal with that fatigue if I'm out for the whole day. you're definitely not alone in feeling that way!

I've had The Cloisters on my radar for a few months, but I haven't been intrigued enough to buy it yet. I've been losing interest in books about halfway through too, I've been forcing myself to finish because I'm participating in a competitive read-a-thon and my goal is 20 for the month.
I feel you when it comes to losing interest in book. I just purchased AJ Fikry at a book sale, so I'm so glad to hear you loved it! The one book I read recently which I loved was The Wishing Game (an adult version of Willy Wonka involving books and illustration); if that doesn't hook you nothing will 😀
