    An underrated aspect in seat design is the ability to get out of your seat while your eating.

      Unfortunately AF only allows their top tier frequent flyers to book La Premiere with miles. For the rest of us it is a VERY expensive splurge. And, of course, many routes do not have Frist Class as only some types of planes have that cabin.

    • @thomasmoore9421
      @thomasmoore9421 Год назад

      @@zork999 I guess that helps AF keep it exclusive, even more so after they retired the a380 which leaves la premier only on the 777-300er. Unless you get lucky with a sale

      I am not sure, they definitely pulled out during the pandemic, however with the Delta hub there I imagine they were in SeaTac before.

      Unfortunately what type of plane you will fly seems to change daily. You might get a 787-9, 777 or A330. Right now it is usually a 787-9 but I am flying AF from Seattle in a few weeks and I get the only 777 that week. At least, that is what they currently say. We will see.

    Hi Gilbert! How old is your daughter? I noticed that there is a lack of content on the IFE for really young kids (such as Peppa Pig) and my daughter will be only 4 years and almost 9 months old at the time we booked an AF business class flight which is supposed to be on a 787-9 as well.

    • @GilbertTravels
      @GilbertTravels  Год назад +1

      My daughter was 5 at the time. She is a very good flyer, the flight attendants took great care of her as well. She just watched one movie a few times and had her own tablet preloaded with a few other things she likes.
      Have a great trip and enjoy the time together!

    catering has become jaded in AF BC, too bad: dry meat etc. They should do their best (@KLM AF) to keep customers in this expensive class...

    Is the mask still being required on the transatlantic air france flights now? We leave in 10 days and I couldn't find anything on the website.

    • @GilbertTravels
      @GilbertTravels  2 года назад

      The travel doc service on their website doesn’t say anything about masks now, which it did, so I would say no.

    Can you better explain the "health attestation form" you mentioned at around 15:15 in your video? We are traveling to France this July 2022 and as of June 10 (today) I could not find anywhere on any official French government website where this is required on arrival from the US, which is listed as a "green" country. Only proof of vaccination seems to be required for those 12 and over. Otherwise, a great video!

    • @GilbertTravels
      @GilbertTravels  2 года назад +1

      The health attestation form is a form required by the US for return into the country along with the negative test result. We printed ours in advance from home and completed it at the hotel prior to the airport. It was collected at the gate during boarding by Air France. Now with news of the requirement for testing being dropped for return to the US, I would imagine that form is being dropped as well, although you would be wise to confirm.
      If you go on the Air France traveldoc service and put in your return travel arrangements it should bring up the form requirement. This is the link they are using: public.traveldoc.aero/publicfiles/USA%20Attestation%20Form%20for%20US%20nationals%20April%202022.pdf

      Thanks! We’re actually flying out of Montreal, driving in from upstate NY and VT, so I was a little confused (a normal state of affairs). But, all moot now! Again, fun and informative videos.
