- SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! MARY POPPINS MOVIE REACTION! Today I'll be watching a film I have never seen before Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews released in 1964 for the first time. Here's my Disney Mary Poppins reaction. Want to watch the ENTIRE Movie with me? Check out: / timotheereacts
When Jane (Karen Dotrice) and Michael (Matthew Garber), the children of the wealthy and uptight Banks family, are faced with the prospect of a new nanny, they are pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the magical Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews). Embarking on a series of fantastical adventures with Mary and her Cockney performer friend, Bert (Dick Van Dyke), the siblings try to pass on some of their nanny's sunny attitude to their preoccupied parents (David Tomlinson, Glynis Johns).

20.000 Leagues Under the Sea produced by Walt Disney and starring by Kirk Douglas
The wizard of oz please it's an iconic and a classic movie
Chitty chitty bang bang good music and a fun adventure
Pete’s Dragon is a loosely similar movie I think you’d enjoy. As well as the film, The Love Bug.
Some others that mix animation and live action (at least temporarily) "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", "Pete's Dragon", and "Anchors Aweigh"
Oh, boy. I just have to tell you how Julie Andrews got the role.
So, when Disney first got the idea to do this film and started casting, she was on Broadway doing My Fair Lady and Camelot.
He came backstage to talk to her, and asked if she'd be interested in flying out to Hollywood to give the movie a look, see if she was interested.
Her response? "Mr. Disney, I'm so sorry to tell you this, but I'm pregnant."
His response? "That's okay. We'll wait."
Not only that, but Julie Andrews was married to Tony Walton, who would become the film's set/costume designer and visual consultant after Walt Disney asked Walton, "What do you do, young man" and became fascinated by his portfolio.
Tony also got his first Academy Award nomination for Mary Poppins!
And the writer of the book called her the day after she got birth and told her that she getting the role and she said I just given birth
Truly one of the greatest masterpieces Disney ever released. The amount of effort Walt put into it's production is unimaginable. It also contains his favorite song, "Feed The Birds." I love it and every song in here.
Sad fact is that whenever Walt had a rough day he would go to the Sherman brothers’ (the duo who wrote the song) office and ask them to play “Feed the Birds” including the day he died
@@tmntgirl4lifeI didn't know that
Check out the movie “Saving Mr. Banks” it’s about the author and what it took to make this movie.
Hey, did you ever see the 2018 sequel?
Timothée being terrified of Dick Van Dyke is cracking me up. I thought he was sweet, actually.
Dick Van Dyke's physical comedy and exaggerated expressions are legendary. I like to think of him as the Jim Carrey of the time. And, sometimes, Jim Carrey terrifies me so I totally get it! Love the fact Dick Van Dyke plays two roles in the movie!
Bedknocks and Broomsticks (1971) is another Disney movie that combines real an animated characters. Also with music. The Portobello Road scene is great.
Yes, there isn't nearly enough love shown for Bedknobs and Broomsticks!
Yes! Starring Angela Lansbury (she makes a cameo in Mary Poppins Returns) and David Tomlinson (aka Mr. Banks).
Portobello Road is my favorite part
BaB was kinda boring....I remember we watched the day before school closed for Christmas holidays.....
Highly recommend Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Another classic with iconic songs, and fun colorful sequences. Was my favorite movie to rent from our old store as a kid.
Starring Dick Van Dyke!
Now you need to see Saving Mr. Banks, which is a dramatized version of the making of Mary Poppins.
Julie Andrews' performance is legendary, and prevented a clean sweep at the Oscars for My Fair Lady, beating Audrey Hepburn for Bezt Actress
Jack Warner had turned down Julie Andrews in favor of Audrey Hepburn for My Fair Lady because he thought Julie wasn't famous enough. When she accepted her Best Actress Oscar, she thanked Mr. Warner for making her available to film Mary Poppins!
Saving Mr.Banks ❤❤🩹
didn't she originate the role of Eliza on Broadway before it was made into a movie?
Even though that wasn't Audrey Hepburn singing in that movie we should still see it on this channel.
@@JPSE57 Yeah that was great of her, lol
@@agenttheater5 Indeed she did
This is one of the most classic Disney live action movies. There were two most memorable songs in this, “A Spoonful of Sugar” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”. Both of them were great.
I agree! Thoses songs are entertaining, charming AND have good messages. I can't say the same for the ones in the remake. Except the first one '' Can you imagine that? '' and '' The cover is not the book! '' in the nightmare world, none of them are memorable or fun. Also the moral of the movie is too simple: '' Family is good! '' and '' If one of your family's member is dead, he is not inside your heart. '' They are so generic 😐🤨
I agree too. But my personal favorites are "Feed the Birds" and "Step in Time". 🥰🥰😊☺️
"I love to laugh" is great
I wasn’t expecting this but thank you, Timothée for this.
Dame Queen Julie Andrews won an Oscar for this performance and she was just so good. She’s always a beautiful voice.
She’s also the Queen of Far Far Away.
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 And Gru's mother in the Despicable Me franchise.
@@EntertainmentFan11 Yep
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 she is also Queen Renaldi in The Princess Diaries
@@JemJam2976 Oh wow
This is still one of the most hauntingly beautiful films ever created, and is so much deeper in its themes and characters than it is typically given credit for! The "Feed the Birds" song, and the long sequence of Mr. Banks slowly walking through the dark streets of London knowing that he's about to lose his job, ugh, my eyes sting every single time. I cannot wait to watch this, I'm sure you'll adore it!
You should also check out ‘Saving Mr. Banks’. It made me cry like very few films do. It’s about the making of ‘Mary Poppins’, which is sugarcoated but also an adventure.
The legend that is Julie Andrews won an Oscar for this movie. I swear I get chills during the Feed the Birds song, Spoonful of Sugar is so catchy and Let's Go Fly A Kite is so uplifting. There's a movie called Saving Mr Banks which tells the story of how Mary Poppins came to be starring Tom Hanks as Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as PL Travers who created the character.
This was 1964 and the Visual Effects and Stunt work is just so good! 👏🏽
Couldn't agree more!
And it was done not in green screen, but a BLUE screen effect! 💙
Fun fact: Aside from playing Bert, Dick van Dyke also plays Dawes Sr, Aka the really old guy at the bank who took Michael's tuppance away. So, yes, you were correct in your assumption that a younger man was playing the part.
Uncle Albert is played by Ed Wyn.
You would know him better as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland.
And Kris Kringle in the 1959 made for TV remake of Miracle on 34th Street.
He was also in my favorite Twilight Zone episode “A Pitch for the Angels”
The boy who played Michael Banks died at 21 year of age after contracting hepatitis while in India. His condition deteriorated into hemorrhagic pancreatitis upon his return to the UK.
The Nannies flying away is simply iconic. It’s the true capitalist way: Monopolies and Girlbossery are her tools.
(Ding ding!) I-Word Police:
The nannies flying away is fun, but Mary descending on her umbrella is ICONIC, for summing up the entire movie, and everything we associate with it, in Disney historical imagery. That’s how the word works, y’see.
Now go dig out your dictionary, and write the definition out 100 times. 😛
FUN FACT: Those nannies that were blown away are actually men dressed up as women.
Bedknobs and broomsticks mixes animation and live action and has awesome special effects! I would totally recommend it!
Agreed!
“It’s supercalifragilisticexpialidocious even thought the sound of it is something quite atrocious, if you say it loud enough you’ll always sound precocious Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”
Man, that song is very catchy! Every time I think of Mary Poppins, this song comes to mind.
I was in the stage version once and we had to spell it out during the song! Actually quite simple to do once you get the hang of it!
Pete's Dragon does the mixture of live and animation. And so does the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Both really fun movies.
That's the original *Pete's Dragon* (1977), not to be confused with the later remake.
The original PETE'S DRAGON deserves more love than it gets. Some great songs in it.
Mary Poppins is a childhood favorite. I watched it a million times! Dick Van Dyke as Bert is great. Though the accent is very exaggerated, his positive attitude and personality was infectious! I remember years ago I watched this movie after not seeing it for maybe a decade and after watching it, it made me smile from ear to ear and I was happy for a week! Its the best live action/animated Disney movie in my opinion and I love it to pieces
Dick Van Dyke's performance as Bert is also very good and he and Julie Andrews were one of the best screen teams in movie history. He and Julie Andrews are still good friends to this day. Dick Van Dyke is mostly known now for being in the "Night Of The Museum" film series starring Ben Stiller. You definitely should watch "Mary Poppins Returns" from 2018 with Emily Blunt playing the title role. Dick Van Dyke even has a small cameo in that film as well. This remake has some of the same mixing of live action and animation that the original "Mary Poppins" did. It's a fun movie and Emily Blunt does a good job in the lead role. For old time movies "Bedknobs And Broomsticks" from 1971 starring Angela Lansbury is an enjoyable film and old Disney films from the 1960's such as "The Parent Trap" and "That Darn Cat" both starring Hayley Mills and "The Love Bug" are enjoyable viewing as well and highly recommended for your movie channel. Good reaction!!
I second Mary Poppins Returns! A very good sequel and great homage to the original film! Even Karen Dotrice, who played Jane Banks in the original, makes a small cameo in the second film; Julie Andrews was offered a cameo as well but she turned it down as she didn’t want to draw attention away from Emily Blunt. There are quite a few recognizable faces in the newer movie though (including one just mentioned in the previous comment) 😊 and Dick Van Dyke’s cameo is epic imo, all I can say 😉
Wait, I remember Night at the Museum. Mickey Rooney was in it too, iirc.
Chim Chim Cherie won Academy Award for best movie song in 1964. I love the overture in the beginning.
Most Disney movies have lost their appeal to me, but Mary Poppins is magical at any and every age. The characters, the humour, the message, the music -- all practically perfect in every way!

In answer to your question, NO, this is not the first movie to combine hand drawn animation with live action.
Before this, there was Song Of The South, The Three Caballeros, and Fun And Fancy Free.
Also, Tom And Jerry, Droopy, and The Looney Tunes all had at least one cartoon where they were combined with live-action prior to this movie.
Don't forget the classic scene where Gene Kelly dances with Jerry Mouse in Anchor's Aweigh.
Walt Disney first combined live action and animation in the 1920s with his "Alice in Cartoonland" series.
Hey buddy - everybody thinks the movie is about Mary Poppins, but it's really about George Banks and his realization that he needs to spend more time with his kids. Mary and bert are merely the vessels that help him get to this realization.
I saw Saving Mr Banks before watching this for the first time-the movie holds a bit more weight knowing the background behind it.
Still though, as a sucker for musicals, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and A Spoonful of Sugar live on rent free in my brain. What a timeless movie ❤
I've loved this movie since I was little, but Saving Mr Banks definitively puts it in a different light. Anyone who's seen one should see the other.
Honestly think Traverse judged the movie too harshly.
Many of her complaints were absolutely valid, but I don't agree about her saying Mary Poppins is whimsical. The whimsy is happening AROUND her and she's often the one trying to reel it in.
the choreography and talent necessary for the chimney sweep dance still astounds me to this day (also the song slaps). Van Dyke did a reprisal of it not too long ago and he still has that kick in his step. honestly one of the best and most memorable moments in the film.
Dick van Dyke (Bert) stills alive, he´s 97 years old now.
If you want another live action/animated movie from this era of Disney, I’d recommend “Bedknobs and Broomsticks.”
This is one of those childhood movies that you like as a kid but love as an adult.
While many are suggesting to you the film Saving Mr. Banks, that movie serves as more than just a dramatization of the making of Mary Poppins, it also serves as a movie that touches upon the Disney legacy despite author P.L. Travers having many reservations with this film adaptation of her book.
I think that Saving Mr Banks works best when you know the Mary Poppins movie quite well. This guy barely watched it once, the amount of talking over it he did. I don't think he would appreciate Saving Mr Banks at all as many of the references would go completely over his head.
Not sure how true this one is, but:
Allegedly the original ending was just him walking into the fog. No explanation of where he was going. That's why the imagery is so beautiful.
But then they got the idea to change it so he has a real change of heart and fixes the kite.
Fun Fact: Mr. Dawes, Senior, the old man at the bank that took the tuppence from Michael, was played by Dick Van Dyke, the same actor who played Bert.
Thanks, Timothée! ☂ The sequel, MARY POPPINS RETURNS (2018) is pretty good, too. ❧ And since you asked, another tale that mixes live-action with animation is another Disney classic called BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS (1970), an all-time favorite of mine. #TimotheeReacts #MaryPoppins #RobertStevenson #MaryPoppins1964
Fun fact: on that year there were two women and two movies nominated for an Oscar on the same role ( 1st actress in a musical role) Those movies were "Mary Poppins' with Julie Andrews and "My Fair Lady" with Audrey Hepburn.
"My Fair Lady" ---Julie Andrews made the role in Broadway of Eliza Doolittle famous and when the movie was being cast she did not get the part that she made famous for in the theater. Julie was not happy about this. She was cast for "Mary Poppins" instead.
Well, guess who won the Oscar?
Julie Andrews for" Mary Poppins "
This comes to show that sometimes that what we wish for is not necessarily for our benefit. Life is always a surprise if we let it.
I always wished I could clean my room up like that. Mary Poppins is everything I blamed my preschool teachers for not being
Its well thought that Poppins looked after Bert when he was young, which would explain why he knows so much about her but there also could be some sort of love story there, be it romantic or a bond that goes beyond love.
‘Feed the birds’ is one of my favourite Disney songs. Just a message saying a little kindness and generosity goes a long way.
I always guessed that George wasn’t a terrible father. He clearly wanted to support his wife and children but he must have worked so hard all his life that he forgot to let himself enjoy it too. Mary Poppins is there to help him as much as the children.
To use a Nanny McPhee theme here, when Poppins first arrived she was needed but not wanted, but once the children reconnected with their father she was wanted but not needed. When it’s the latter, Mary’s work is done and she goes.
2:55 I just love how she’s this Girlboss who’s absolutely fabulous in every way.
The very first to mix live action and animation was "The Enchanted Drawing" (1900) and Walt Disney has been doing these since the 1920s in his Alice Comedies like "Alice Solves the Puzzle" (1925) which first introduced Pete. Katie Nanna was played by Elsa Lanchester who had played both Mary Shelley and the Monster's Bride in The Bride of Frankenstein.
Mary Poppins is a incredible movie. And all of songs are very classic.
*Mary
My favorite Disney Musical I just love all of the songs and stuff that they do in this movie with green screen. Also I love the chemistry with Van Dyke and Julie.
The first album I ever bought with "my own money" - meaning birthday card loot - was this soundtrack, when I was was five. And I listened to it so many times in the next four years that to this day I know every word of every song.
When I'm ninety, I might not remember my name, but I will definitely still remember the lyrics to A Spoonfull of Sugar.
Saving Mr Banks is an amazing movie about the author of the Mary Poppins books, P.L. Travers. It gives a whole new perspective on the meaning behind Mary Poppins
10:37 it is an animatronic created by Wed Enterprises. Now this division is called "Imagineering". In addition, they also worked on POFC.
“Step in Time” is one of the most amazing dance sequences in film! And fun little tidbit you didn’t notice - the old man from the bank, the one who died, was played by Dick Van Dyke.
Also, the profits from Mary Poppins was used to build Disney World.
The Elder Mr Dawes Was Played By None Other Than Dick Van Dyke, Who Played Bert. The Voice Of Mary Poppins' Umbrella Was David Tomlinson, Who Played Mr Banks. When Mary Poppins Sings While The Bird Is On Her Hand Whistling, The Whistling Of The Bird Was Provided By Julie Andrews
I just love how Timothee keeps acknowledging the green screens but he doesn't realize that this was made in the 60's so of course green screens are noticable and CGI wasn't even a thing back in the day nor did they know how to make it, but you can't lie the effects are fucking STUNNING!!!!😍💕✨👍👌👏
‘Let’s go fly a kite’ is such an emotional song. It really hits you hard 🔥
Sadly the actor who played Michael Banks took time off in his teenage years and when he was a young man went to India where he got hepatitis. He went undiagnosed and it was too late for him and he died a year later at the age of 21,
Julie Andrews won an Oscar for her role and other than The Sound of Music her most notable film was Victor/Victoria. Her late husband Director Blake Edwards also got her to go topless to break the good girl archetype in S.O.B. The maid with the red hair can be seen as Tiny Tim’s mom in an early version of A Christmas Carol called Scrooge. Dick van Dyke was on a few tv shows as well as more film like Chitty,Chitty,Bang Bang. The mom played in the Sandra Bullock film While You Were Sleeping.
Dick Van Dyke (Bert) also played the old banker that died from laughter near the end (the one you said was obviously a young guy aged up.)
In 1900, an American cartoonist for the New York Evening World by the name of J. Stuart Blackton released what is considered the first ever live action and animation film, titled, The Enchanted Drawing. Blackton himself stars in the film, drawing a cartoon face on an easel. Blackton then draws a bottle of wine and a glass and takes it right off the easel and into his hands. This film is now over 120-years old. 🤯
I actually wrote a story years ago called "every second Tuesday" to explore what Mary got up to om her day off
The guy who was floating from laughing too much was Ed Wynn, the original voice of the Mad Hatter from the animated version of Alice in Wonderland.
I'll admit it. I love this movie. One of my favourite childhood movies.
Walt Disney considered this movie his masterpiece, and it got Academy Awards to prove it.
One of the earliest uses of live action and animation was in 1945's Anchors Aweigh, which featured a dance routine with Gene Kelly and Jerry, the mouse from the Tom and Jerry cartoons. Thanks for the fun reaction!
I don’t know if you watched ”Saving Mr Banks” yet but I do recommend it after watching this. It about Walt Disney with the author of the Mary Poppins books.
23:40
BTW, that old man is played by Dick Van Dyke, who also plays Burt!
Always had a crush on Mary Poppins even as a kid.
In 1945 the MGM film Anchors Aweigh combined live action with hand-drawn animation and featured a classic dance scene with Gene Kelly and Jerry from Tom and Jerry. The scene was paid homage to by Family Guy with Stewie Griffin replacing Jerry.
The Nanny Who Leaves At The Beginning Is Played By Elsa Lanchester, Better Known For Playing The Bride Of Frankenstein!!
If you want to see more of the character, check out the sequel that was produced just a few years ago - Mary Poppins Returns. The children from this film reappear in the sequel as adults, and Dick Van Dyke, who played Burt (and also the old banker - the one you said looked like he was nearly dead) returns in a cameo as the old man again, even doing a tap dance number at 92 years old!
Is he supposed to be the old man's son in this movie?
@@officialmonarchmusic. Yes!
I just realized that Julie Andres is a nanny in The sound of music and in Mary Poppins! 😮
Yay! Now that you've seen this you'll get the reference: in "How Does She Know" from Enchanted, the old men dancing in Central Park to give the women flowers were part of the chimney sweep crew in this film.
Before Film, she was a renowned singer and actor on the stage. She was a star since she was 13.
“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” another classic with Dick Van Dyke.
Great reaction. Looking forward to your next one.
Dick Van Dyke’s accent wasn’t loved by many viewers, so much so that when he signed on to do Chitty Chitty Bang Bang he made sure he could use his regular American voice even though the movie is set on England. I agree with everyone who says Bedknobs and Broomsticks has this same level of fantasy and Ilive/animation mix and David Tomlinson the Father in this movie is also in that movie
Now that you've seen this, i highly recommended "Saving Mr. Banks" 🥰 its a bio-pic about the author of Mary Poppins and Disney co. trying to convince her to make it a movie.
Somewhere in Internet there's a conspiration theory that says Mary Poppins is something of an auror (yeah like in Harry Potter) who is in charge of taking care of young wizards and witches who can't control their magical abilities and are offsprings of muggles, so she teach them how to control them so they don't become an obscurus. The Ministry is not very happy with her because of her uncommon methods (flying, and showing Magic everywhere). And Bert is a squib (son of Magic parents with no Magic) who is used to Mary Poppins methods and the Magic world and likes to help her and the children with the Magic process (also he's in love with her obviously).
the Bird lady was not there in the end representing the phrase "Missing your chance".
Before Mary Poppins, watch the movie “Saving Mr. Banks.” It is a true story about Walt Disney invite P. L. Travers the author of Mary Poppins series. There’s something that none of us know about the author and her background that based on Mary Poppins.
The behind the scenes of this movie are amazing, pure movie magic and feats of clever engineering made this possible😊
23:57 Fun fact: Dick Van Dyke also did Mr. Dawes Sr., while he did Bert in the first movie. Anyway, you should check out the second movie as well.
Mr. Banks wants his kids to do what he says and Mary Poppins goes: “Imma destroy this man’s whole delusion.”
Would love to see you react to more Disney animated classics like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Aristocats, Peter Pan and many others:)
Everytime I was at my grandmothers in the 80s, this was one of the movies she had on over and over for me. Obviously I grew tired of it eventually. But as I got older the songs still stuck in my head and I rewatched and loved it. From the visual effects of the time, to the humor and catchy songs. It's a classic. Also you can behind the scenes stuff on RUclips. It was complicated to say the least. To think this was WAY before Roger Rabbit. People often forget this movie technically did it first.
The floating laughing guy is Ed Wynn who was a great comedian back in the day and also was the voice of the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland
18:09 I take the necessary precautions while being in the rain. If you’re soaking wet, take a bath. Also, you’re never too prepared with umbrellas.
The way they did the cartoon/ live action scenes were really innovative… by using multiple glass plates with elements painted on them that they could swap and move around independently, but the most amazing thing was the masking techniques used for perfect green screen cutouts… record the silhouette projected on the other side of the green screen or sheet of wallpaper instead of having someone try to cut out the green screen.
19:16 I think in the books Noah (as in the Ark) was a family friend or a distant relative of hers, makes sense in that light that she can understand what animals are saying. All I know for certain is that the cow who leapt over the moon (like the nursery rhyme) was a close friend of her mothers.
now watch Saving Mr Banks, with Tom Hanks being Walt Disney and fighting with Mary Poppins author to make the adaptation! It's very emotional I promise
The bird that sings with Mary Poppins and the umbrella were actually both animatronics. Julie Andrews was hired for the role of Mary Poppins because she could whistle so beautifully. In the movie Mary Poppins Returns (2018), Dick Van Dyke returns as an elderly banker playing Mr. Dawes, Jr., but this time he really is elderly and sings and dances in his 90s.
Dick Van Dyke (Bert) is in his 90’s and still dancing. He says it keeps him in good health to keep moving
This is him at a Broadway show of Mary Poppins

😎👍 Right around the exact same time that Disney released "Mary Poppins," Warner Brothers released another much beloved film that combines live action and animation, "The Incredible Mr. Limpet." It has been decades since I last saw it, but I'll bet it still holds up. Several years ago, Jim Carrey was offered a ton of money to star in a remake, but had the good sense to turn down the offer because he intuitively realized that any reworking of it would pale in comparison to the original.
I remember seeing a video somewhere on youtube of a child Julie Andrews singing for Queen Elizabeth's father when he was king
You should watch Saving Mr.Banks. It’s basically a behind-the-scenes movie, showing what went down during the production of this movie.
I love the songs in this movie. Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke are so delightful ❤I have the Mary Poppins umbrella
Dick Van Dyke, who played Bert, also played the old banker, Mr Dawes Sr.
"Anchors Aweigh" (1945) starring Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Dean Stockwell, and Jerry from the Tom&Jerry cartoons
6:48 Yo, the Captain guy roasted the hell out of those nannies 😂
FYI Walt Disney's first movie series was the Alice Comedies in the 1920s, which mix live-action with animation.
9:52 PEAK CINEMA was thus achieved. You can’t argue with her on this.
Another film with an animated sequence inserted is the 1945 feature “Anchors Aweigh” when Mickey Mouse dances with Gene Kelly.
“Bedknobs and Broomsticks.” Another classic that combines live action with animation.
I’m looking forward to this reaction.
The story behind Spoonful of Sugar:
Songwriters daughter had to get a mandatory vaccination, and when he asked how they did it, she told them they soaked it in a sugar cube and she ate it.
This is one fo the genius masterpieces beloved classic iconic disney classic movie. Plus who doesn't love the marry Poppins and Julie andrews.
Loony tunes back in action are absolutely amazing at combining animation with real actors! Its worth a watch If you liked this combination!! As well as having a great plot! x
The movie is so beautiful but It kinda hits you harder after you watched the movie about how Disney got the rights to film this movie. Its called saving Mr. Banks.
You know Tim, there’s actually a film about Walt Disney trying to convince PL Travers (the author of the Mary Poppins books) to adapt her books for film. It’s more dramatic than this one obviously, if you’re interested it’s called “Saving Mr. Banks”
