If we talk about raven then ws2 (ch launcher, safe fast mid, excellent for cd mixups), df1 (tracking both sides like homing!!! Clone extension perfect for checking), fc df3 insane reach ch knd very hard to punish cuz on block when u try punish then bt f1+2 works excellent), d3 v good low poke only -11 on block, db2 (mid poke elbow tracking one side one of best bt transition and good to start some mind games)all those we should mentioned cuz its bread and butter Raven t8

I've been a Paul main since T1 with Bruce as my 2nd since T5 but I made it my mission to strictly main Raven in T8. Don't have as much time to play and practice as I used to but I'm slowly getting a hang of Ravens basic moves and gameplan together with the muscle memory but there's a long way to go until I feel comfortable. As another commenter said, he's a real project to learn. A cool character that I wish I picked up earlier. Thanks for the guide!

Raven in T8 he's very unique, sick and dope so far... but only thing that they buff are his pokes, his Soulzone Stance it's leagues better than Master Raven's Haze Stance because the transition of moves are coming quicker, but he still has no 15 frame launcher or a solid 15 frame punish, his hopkick remains to be a joke of a oribital heel, but that's all fine because not every character in the game should have the same tools, so he still remains to some degree very unsafe. His one good low down 3 use to be plus but got nerfed, so now his neutral lows are't very solid and all of his stance lows are launch punishable. All of his shadows are 14 frame punishable so it is more in the opponents favor to interrupt him, he also lost his Magic 4, d/f4 and qcf 1 no longer launches on hit or counter hit, his backturn grabs are gone, because you can do now only generic grabs from his BT. So they turned him into an unsafe character relying mostly only on his mix ups gimmick to do very good with him in the right hands of use of course. So when most characters in this game are mix up characters they just get more reward and less punishment. If they at least made some of his shadows -12 on block then I think that it would make him a lot better, other than that he's gonna rely mostly on his Shenanigans. 🤷🏻♂️☯️✌️

Great guide! Been a Raven Main since 5 and a Lars Main since 6. I come to find a lot of people play both characters. I guess because they are both super stylish with no long strings, but a lot big single moves with great damage, that give lots of good placement and advantage on your opponents. Anyways keep it up!

Good guide. Too many Tekken guides out there just keep throwing out button notations verbally so I have to keep rewinding and slowing them down to pick up what they're saying. Good production quality too, very smooth. I really liked the flashback showing the advice being used in a match, it was clean and informative. Had I not already been using it in that way I certainly would be now!
I understand you're probably keeping the list concise to prevent confusion but I feel like d/b 2, d 4, and u/f 1+2 are also key moves in his kit that are maybe worth mentioning.
- d/b 2 because it's a quick and easy mid poke into backturn with decent range.
- d 4 because it's a low poke with stupid range and puts you into crouch. I know you mention this moves existence with WC 3+4 though.
- u/f 1+2 because it's a 1+2 throw break, giving him a decent throw mixup. At lower ranks no one ever breaks these either (Garyu and below).
You got it, wanted to keep it simple and easy but those are also very core tools for Raven too. Maybe I'll do an intermediate guide soon 💭

That first move you showed is only a true combo on CH :/ Need to set the training dummy to block after getting hit bro
As long as the 2nd part of that move hits, the rest is guaranteed. But yes, the string generally needs to be CH💪🏽
You said df2 for the 14 frame but that’s df1?
