@@milton1448Maybe but, for me, Tuomas jumped the shark after Imaginarium. Nothing has been as good as the prior material IMO. Like prog-rock in the late 70’s got the label of being “pretentious” and “bloated”, I’d say Nightwish has done the same. It’s a fine line, and everyone draws that line at different points, of course.
Well, we all have different opinions and preferences, and that all we have really. I hear the same about Opeth, etc. Fans tend to get stuck in time too often IMO. Bands don't and expand over time. How boring it would be to play the same style for 20+ years. And BTW, the 70 prog- rock rocked. But, I'm not one that follows others. @@interstellardave
@@milton1448I love 70’s prog, including the near-infamous album Tales From Topographic Oceans. I can see where people thought it was too much, though. I’m in the opposite position with Nightwish. To me Poet And The Pendulum is practically perfect but the newer epics-though not really a new style-just miss the mark for me. It’s par for the course with great artists, though. The aforementioned group Yes has made some of the best music ever, IMO, and also quite a bit that falls way short of greatness.
Well stated. For me the band is not the same without Marko. As much as I love their older stuff, I also like their new album. Being a musician, I tend to gravitate to interesting music, and I found much on Human Nature interesting, albeit different than their music from 15+ years ago. The 70ies produced some of the best music of any decade. Chick Corea and the rock/jazz fusion movement is still on my turntable, so to speak. Cheers Dave- @@interstellardave

The Exit Eden cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi is absolutely freaking amazing and highly recommended to anyone. Also fun fact I suspect the thread cutting at the end is a reference to the Moirai from Greek mythology, who spin and ultimately cut the threads of human lives.

Pity about Amanda... four vocalists may've been too many, but I thought she gave them a top tier quality and the kind of promise most in the "Napalm novelty" / symphonic metal crowd lack. They might still get there as a trio... this song's pretty good, they sound well together and more room individually too, just not the same promise, to my taste. This is an amazing song heard this on Spotify recently and recognized Marco immediately but never got around to looking into who group was
The album Rhapsodies in black is where i fell in love with their Metal cover versions of a whole host of songs. Some of wich in the original vesrions i wasn't a fan of but they really put their touch on it.
I like this song better than the whole last Nightwish album. Marko made Nightwish better. He was definitely missed the last time i saw Nightwish live.
I never knew clem was part of Exit Eden, I knew they before I knew visions of atlantis and I always wondered why her voice was so familiar, Also absolutely love the Fates thing the ladies have going on here, manipulating the strings of fate and Marco struggling against the bindings of fate. Absolutely amazing! You should definitely check out the previous Exit Eden stuff on your own time, its really good. Absolutely agree on the Nightwish vibe. Their covers in the first album were top notch.
Better than the most recent Nightwish IMO. I’m interested in the upcoming album now.
Too basic for me
@@milton1448Maybe but, for me, Tuomas jumped the shark after Imaginarium.
Marco is one of the only male vocalists I wish I could sing like. His voice has such range and reach. The only other one I wish I could sing like is David Draiman
And I would straight up marry Clem!!!
Good to see Marko back again!
Maybe you've already seen it, but Imminence released some new music today. Might want to check it out! Haven't seen you react to them for a while.
Also I haven't seen you react to Holding Absence yet. You should definitely check them out! Afterlife would be a great song to start.
We had them in some of the music nights on discord, like some of the covers as well!
Is not that Mirko left Nightwish, are Floor and her fellows that loosed Nightwish!
Man do check them out You won't be disappointed Exciting to hear they now have original material. Other reports on this group say started as a side Hussle 3 of the girls supposed Opera diva's They certainly sing perfectly . They mainly metalized everything they sang Check out their Totall Eclipse of the Heart. Steinman just a bit further over the top lol
Marko is incredible
The Exit Eden cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi is absolutely freaking amazing and highly recommended to anyone. Also fun fact I suspect the thread cutting at the end is a reference to the Moirai from Greek mythology, who spin and ultimately cut the threads of human lives.
@tankthetech I could be wrong, but I believe this group was inspired by the Northern Kings concept - which Marko was also a member of.
Agreed, saw them at tuska a year or so ago and they were phenomenal with singers and musicians from so many great Finnish metal bands.
Marko not Mario
@@NeeceTheLonewolfI know. got bit by autocorrect and it won’t let me fix it.
Love your channel, this is not related to this video, but I saw in the past you have reviewed Band maid, they are awesome. If possible could you please review the song "Thrill", I don't know if there is live version of the song. I think this song is a awesome hidden gem!!! From a drummers point of view, this song has insane amount of showmanship!! Keep up the great work!!!!
Sounds a lot like modern Nightiwish, but with a lot of the elements of modern Nightwish that I don't care for as much. I will definitely give the album a listen though!
Your daughter wanted to be Jack jack...I'm so impressed😂😂❤❤❤ good job good daddy...raising your kid right!!!
The covers album was pretty awesome, definitely worth a listen - Depeche Mode sounds real good with a metal arrangement :)
Marco looks like a raith from Stargate Atlantis, I love it!!
They remind me more of Eluveitie than Nightwish. Not a bad thing, I'm a fan of both. Cheers.
