even the germans and the swiss are now buying Talgos ! :) when spaniards started their high speed rail infrastructure in the late 80's, they were entirely dependent on the german and french know-how... once they implemented their first system they have been developing their technology ever since and are now competitive by themselves in many ways. Congratulations !

Valtrus your are so wrong ... I am swiss and I can assure Talgo trains and spanish high.speed are same if not higher level than the ones in Japan and France ... Just take a deeper look and you will realize ... Spain is a big unknown on high-tech stuff ...
@AaverageJoe: American rules for safety and crash impact made the cab look like it is. Talgo first choice was their Talgo XXI model, but it was rejected due to those rules, as they differ from the Spanish/European ones.
Other countries are so busy trying to be the fastest which doesn't translate to better...Fastest means only that and not better...Ultimately the way to go is by improving the product thinking of ways to make it cheaper while keeping the high quality and comfort overall....
