I think Bishop was the most epic out of all the future mutants but i wish they would've shown the future mutants a little more so we could know them better. It was still great movie.
I hate the fact that they dumbed-down Bishops powers. He's definitely a whole lot stronger than they portrayed him to be. Passive energy absorption, which he can release either as the same form of energy he absorbed, or pure energy. He can store that energy in his body to enhance his strength, speed, endurance, and have a regenerative healing factor. The fact that he can absorb almost every type of energy, including psychic energy and kinetic energy (partially)... He's supposed to be near-invulnerable... Yet he died so easily. That's bull.
Vril Agency031 I think the reason he doesn't appear in the realigned future is because his appearance in Dark Future was as a mutant they has found and joined their cause, along with Sunspot, Warpath and Blink. It's somewhat implied that the new future is before they are found and join the Institute.

They dumbed down a lot of characters. If it was about race, why would they let Fan Bing Bing play Blink? This is the problem X-Men movies face - over-saturation of characters.

That could be a bit too violent or gory for a PG-13 film (or 12 here in the UK), but The Wolverine got a way with a lot and DOFP so I guess they could put some of those moments into one of the future films.
In the final battle when Bishop died, I think when he was blasted by 3 Sentinel beams, he intentionally blew himself up to take the Sentinels with him. When he exploded, the 3 Sentinels were destroyed along with him. So it may have been his intention.
Wow I never knew his powers were like that. I remember playing the Xmen 2 game for Game cube and all he could do is shoot with guns. I thought he had infinite amo or something.

I hope bishop gets more screen time in 2016 movie. And those who are coming to say to me "he died he can't be back in 2016 movie". Ofc he can. The whole movie was about time traveling and most common fact of time traveling is that when you change something in past the whole future rewrites itself. Same happened in this movie and everybody is alive now when dofp sorted out a timeline mess what older x-men movies left behind.

They had 10 Minutes material with Rogue but they dropped it because they changed the Story. She will either still make a cameo appearance or they will most likely add the extra material in the DVD/BluRay as "Deleted Scenes".
They didn't change the story it's just that with the sequence the movie was to long. And I still hope for her promotion because I think Anna Paquin is very talented and because it bothers me that they can cut a character so easily
