The AWD Ariya has 389 HP so it you want to pay for it, it's there. Leases in the US qualify for the $7500 rebate. I own this and got a great lease deal (they aren't selling, too expensive so dealers have to deal). Very happy. 0-60 in 4.8 is plenty fast for me. Best riding car I've ever owned.
I trust Japanese technology and will only buy Toyota for quality. I have driven two Toyota hybrids for the past 13 years. Tesla isn’t even in my radar. I just placed a deposit on my 2024 BZ4X as Toyota has an amazing leasing deal now for about $200 for 36 months, and $16k plus rebate from Toyota brings the car at about $32k for me if I choose to buy for $20k after the 3 year lease end. Free charging for 1 year too. If anyone is interested, make sure you research
I just hate going into a dealership and being subjected to the buying process. At least with Tesla you know what you'll pay ahead of time. Haggling over the purchase price, avoiding dealer add-ons, and enduring the financing nightmare are all deal breakers for me. It's Tesla just by elimination, before actually comparing the cars.
I hated too, Two Toyota dealers lied to me about their advertise price and availability, so I went to Toyota website, selected the vehicle and price and applied for financing, let's see if I'm gonna get the BZ4X on 0% apr
Got the BZ4X yesterday. It's perfect for our needs and compliments our RAV4 Hybrid perfectly. Plus it's a Toyota! I'd rather have a few compromises but have the workmanship and great dealership experience from my Toyota dealer. Plus fit and finish are flawless and it feels "at home" if you own and drive other Toyota products. And the lease incentives here in the US are great. So it won.
I can't wait to see internal combustion engines out of the streets, but I'm just not ready yet for a fully electric car. When the prices come down a little more, the charging network is more available and reliable and I have solar panel on my house I'll buy one. Until then it is either a hybrid or dual engine for me. Also I don't understand why they make these eletric cars with glass roof, as a skin cancer survivor that alone eliminates these vehicles. I didn't know the Ariya and BZ4 also had glass roofs and even with the sun shade I don't trust it.
Yeah I dislike the glass roofs. I live in Arizona. I’d like to block out the sun or completely let it in via my sunroof. I think glass roofs must be cheaper to build than a metal roof & sunroof combination.
In UK, not much difference in price between Ariya and model y AND Nissan financing is much better - PCP on my 87 Ariya is nearly 1/2 or what Tesla offered on long range model y…plus Ariya can charge on some Tesla supercharging points, including in my home city. I liked the model y but Ariya much more comfortable and intuitive.
So, the servicing of Tesla is subpar? Kind of like the new X where there is no quality control, and now you will have to pay to sign up! I'll still avoid anything that has to do with Elon Musk! Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to a review of the 2024 Hyundai Kona EV, as if I go EV, that's the EV I'd get after leasing 2 gas engine Kona SUV's.
At 11:42 - good summary. None are really great choices. Although esthetics are subjective, it's hard to believe anyone would find the Toyota BZ4X attractive. The Ariya and Model Y are definitely ahead in that regard and have better performance and range. But the Ariya doesn't win any points on the pricing, and the Tesla has some quality issues. There are many hybrids that are so much more appealing and don't leave a driver nervous about the range on cross-country trips.
@@mrnarason Me I'm more than happy to wait 10mins to fill and pay for gas, while they sit for hours charging, as well as paying more for electric than they do now just wait and see, they eat tyres, Oh and thousands for a battery when I'll pay maybe a £100, but the best part for me is I'm never going to have one. 😂
Yes you do. I own an EV and will never go back to gas. Why do i want to hunt for better gas prices and touch the gas nozzle that everyone else touched when it takes me 20 second to plug in my car every weekend and have more than enough range for the week. By the way my EV gets over 100 mpg gas equivalent. What is your ICE mpg?
toyota ia slow comare to other: All-wheel-drive models take longer at 60 minutes to replenish the same amount; they have a lower maximum charging power of 100 kilowatts, versus 150 kW for the front-drive bZ4X.
panel gap under reliability ? if you want to talk about panel gap, yes they where not the best and the paint shop is not as good as the one in China and Germany
nissan leaf is a pos. slow charging. STILL no liquid thermal management for the battery pack- leading to a pack life that is shorter than the life of a 1970's ford pinto in a rear collision. FAIL. you should stick to reviewing clothing or chewing gum.
For me the bz4x, good build, good warranty and good range of 450km, and very efficiënt ev morors as well. Don't like the looks of the Tesla, interior looks cheap. The Nissan is a dull car, ugly even.
Model Y is the best in it's class BZ5X is the worst in this class. Toyota knows NOTHING about ev's. Even BX4X is a chinese ev with Toyota logo. Is not made by Toyota.... Nissan would have been on par with Tesla if they didn't arest their genious CEO. Nissan will go backrupt. They deserve it
Just about everything is wrong with this comment. The BZ4X is a co-development between Toyota and Subaru, nothing Chinese, although it's name would befit the "Technoking". Ghosn wouldn't have been arrested but fled to Lebanon after his crookeries came to light. His genius are unreliable subpar vehilcles like any Nissan with a CVT. Which leaves the third vehocle, the one with a CEO who'd rather pay lawyers to not have to hand over autopilot data, who is being investigated by the DoJ and therefore has already warned that the truth could hurt the "business model" of the sect. As correctly stated in the video, build quality is terrible at best, reliability is subpar, but stupid toys like the Knight Rider "steering yoke" are apparently more important and talking to the fanboys is useless, critics are always wrong in their eyes. And as someone else said: I want nothing from a guy with world domination fantasies.

Nissan does make a handsome car.

I choose Nissan aria e 4force , supercharger charger not needed, because only charge at home , cabin interior and noice its way better on Nissan .
I ordered the Nissan Ariya. It is modern and beautiful. Comfortable And very important, it can charge ac 22Kw 🎉👍

Exactly
You’re not subjected to anything, you just don’t know how to speak for yourself

I'm in the upper mid west, there's a special on Leasing the Toyota....$16k lease cash back. Purchase price after 36mon is $22k
Very well put together and informative video. Every question answered with concise information. Thank you.
Ariya will be my car
I love Toyota but I think a used tesla x is the best way to go
Maybe in 3-4 years I will buy a 2023 EV. I would expect these cars to have steep deprecation as the EV technology keeps improving.
I like your thinking

Ariya will get the adapter next year in 2024
I personally will chose the Tesla siply because of its range. Thanks again!
Xpeng for me
Even though no EV's are perfect I love the Model X. @@JonySmith-bb4gx
I hope people understand that you only get the 7500.00 in the US if you owe 7500.00
Also you agi ( adjusted gross income ) has to be below specific married filling jointly and single filler thresholds

Give me an Ariya with Supercharging and FM HD (Hybrid Digital) and I will switch to Nissan.
Nissan Leaf does not have a security scrore ?, it's been there for ages, unless the 2024 model need to be retested
The leaf is not part of this comparison...

The exterior design of Teslas is so boring. And the interior functionality is awful. I would buy the Ariya.
