I spent an inordinate amount of time searching for the perfect spot for my base. I roamed quite a bit of the map before I settled on a spot on the mountaintop behind the initial spawn point. I wanted to find a spot that did not have shroud anywhere near it, didn't have any wolves spawns and also had a great view. A byproduct of this is I have a super high launch point to glide from. Perfect spot!
My game progression base wise goes like this. I patch up the little building in Longkeep. Its the one with a bed and fire place already in place. Just add some walls and a roof. Next step is either Peaceful Acres or Harvest Homestead. Then onto The Blue Goblet Tavern. The Tavern can be your base through the rest of the game if you like. However I am looking for something in the middle of the map for my final base. Closer to the end game materials you need to farm. Sadly the East side of the map is just lacking in the forest you find in the west and I really enjoy having all those trees around. In the end it does not really mate where you base since everything is just a teleport away with being able to drop flame alters where you need them.
I made Peaceful Acres my starter base, I renovated the house, and re-did all the interior. I made a well house and replanted all the fields with crops. I'm quite late game now, and will probably build another base now I have unlocked most of the other blocks. It's a great starter base though, with shroud near and salt out back as well.
thanks for uploading. Best locations are more centralized on the map...aim for areas on mounatin tops or high up..longer glide times, spires are limited..Once you progress to mid game or later game you dont really return to the starting area as majority of resources required are in later biomes. Underground crypts are spread throughout the map.
@@ReachGaming i understand that Mr Reach, but there is no reason why you have to base anywhere in this region to start with, as soon as you finish the initial base quest you can quickly move centrally or closer to that region.Revell spire area is a perfect beginner region, close to all summoned sleepers, safe and offers alot more opportunities to exlore and loot, even if your level 1-5. the game pushes you to the very first spire literally straight away.
A favorite spot of mine's the Blue Goblet Inn (or Tavern?), which you won't reach until further into the game, so maybe a good second base? It's a beautiful building, comes fully furnished with a comfort level of, iirc, 22 or 25 right from the start. Bit of restoration, pop a fire in the fireplace and your bedroom and there you go. :D
your first thing, when you go up to that little mining area you broke the wall at to dig up, you can actually open the chest there, jump onto the chest, jump onto the wheel housing for the crane and then just jump up the wall
When this new update drops and they open up the mountains, they totally need to implement climbing claws or something lmao. I can alreadu see me spending 5 hours picking platforms and parkouring up the mountains if not lmao.
I'm very new to the game so I might be missing something. You say these are great places to build a base because they have all these resources. Wont the base block the respawn of those resources?
Weird, nothing respawns around my building area. I don´t live in a building though, i built from scratch, but the wolves are gone and don´t come back. Why do the spiders come back?
@@maxon4ig Does it? I thought that the player gets centered in the cube around the flame? 20 blocks down, 20 blocks up 20 left & right for the lowest flame level, isn't it?
i think i played palworld too much that i thought my base would get invaded so i look for base with narrow way to get in n build walls to block the way. i even put fire camp in front in case invader would manage to get through the walls. BUT...i was wrong. LOL 😅

Lmao. Funny story telling
I would love a creative mode. The game has great building.
+1
yea that would be awesome
Probably a mod for it by now.
yeah youre right mate but do you love the buildings from creative mode and survival mode the same way? :)
Your wish has been granted. They added an "easy mode" that drops crazy amounts of building materials and bad guys are passive.

Yip I did say that this video was more directed for lowbies/newbies in my video.

@@michaelvial125 You can just fast travel. It doesn't matter. Shut up.
0:50 you can actually jump up on the wood thingy on the left side, its a bit tricky but you dont need to use a pickaxe.

I agree. It's a great place.
The tower in that church has the slate roof tile blocks.
01:18 You don't have to dig up there, you can quickly break the wooden wall to your left and use the crane to climb up over the box.
in our playthrough, we were just able to jump the gap to the climbing latice
00:55 you can just jump across from the part where the ladder is

Building on top of the hidden tomb wouldn't cancel the re-spawn of the spiders?
At this time of recording and doing this video it didn't, not sure if they changed anything since
12:04 right on the money, This game would go from great to flawless if it had a creative mode

@Mr. Reach you mentioned your from south Africa before right? Are you a Boer?
South African yes, Boer no. Englishman.
"And the best part of this is that there are spiders here that respawn."
Arachnophobes: "Uh..."
Tough one pity they don't have a turn off spider option.
I’ve completed everything I need to do I figured to have something to do I can find a base spot so here I am hope they add a jungle area
i will 100% get this game when i get a pc
NO WAY!!!! MR.REACH LIKED MY COMMENT
@9:22 so you don’t recommend us go the only way to get there? 😂 I know it was a mistake, I just found it hilarious.

At 7:20ish he explains to not let your flame cover the resources or else they won’t respawn 👍
Why is “if you got any” getting me every time 😂😭
Hahaha
Best base locations… as long as you aren’t arachnophobic. (I am)
Weird, nothing respawns around my building area. I don´t live in a building though, i built from scratch, but the wolves are gone and don´t come back. Why do the spiders come back?
because the construction zone is shaped like a hemisphere and does not work below

Id pay someone to build me a nice town for my villagers 😂 no lie. Im horrible at building but i want it too look nice
it respawns each time you restart the game
I think it's every 30 mins in game if your not in the area.

I mean, they are still releasing updates right? You probably have not messed up at all
Why are all of these location videos based on pre-mades?
I want locations with resources not a bunch of pre-built crap for non-creatives.
👍🏻
