- Hi guys!!
Step 1. In my winterize series.
How to video for those who want to connect a added high beam LED bar, and only use the standard controls to activate it.
Make sure you get a Relay that is a open style one, so it activates output when triggered.
T700 handlebar controls and switches are all going through the ECU, so they are negative based ( - ).
Yellow cable in right hand side headlight harness is the “high beam” trigger.
This is a negative trigger ( - ) and is the cable needed to activate the Relay together with a positive cable ( + ) preferably from a AUX port (3 wire free port on either left or right hand side of the bike).
Take your time, don’t rush it.
Add a extra fuse.
Make sure the LED is mounted in a good way so it doesn’t interfere when turning left or right and is high enough to clear fender under full fork compression.
This aux light is the best looking one for tenere. It keeps the sleek look of the bike.
I would put on/off switch to the aux light, but still control it normally from high beam switch. In winter your led bar might be frozen or covered by snow. Then it would maybe be nice to turn off.
Also your led bar can broke during ride and then without switch you cant turn it off if it just flickers all the time.
True, but i can reach the connector plug just where all the cables from handlebar goes down in to the bike, so not super worried.
Har samma Led ramp på min Honda Nc750x . Fick plats mellan frambenen precis.
Tx for your nice movies ,
now i am wondering how you made the connection to the yellow signalcable, scares me a little bit of to cut in the original wiring :)
Hehe, no pain no gain 😜. Just cut an make a split.
I try to solder, but that’s overkill, you can have crimp connectors with splitters too
Hi. I'm thinking put a led bar on my ténéré, and I've a question. It's possible to use the power connector on left or right side and a extra switch on handlebar? Without use the high beam switch to turn on and off? For this it is necessary use a relay or not?
For sure, that would be the easiest way.
Just make sure that the fuse for the selected output is enough for what the light draws.
If it draws more, then just use a relay and have the power from battery through the relay to the light.
Morsning!
Hi man
I installed front blinkers but they have 3 wires..
Can you help me with the connection?
I need some explanation about every wire
hi bud, most likely it has built in position light built in, then you add that wire to 12 v power that is turned on when ignition is on.
No idea what kind if blinker you got, but that's my best guess.
@@everythingtenere do you know where the wire is located? And what color is it?
I am just waiting for connect the wires…
Whats the brand or where can I get that one
Purelux x slim 180.
It’s from a Swedish web shop www.valostore.se.
I would go with the flood light version, or that would give you more use (as wider and more light from 3-50 M
you can get one off ebay for£15 does the same job. just wire it up from battery and put a inline fuse in and a switch on handle bar . very simple to do.
You sure cab get cheaper alternatives (min was 45$). But having an added switch was something I didn’t want. BUT, if I will add another one for flood lighting (wide angle) I will use an added switch, as I might not want to have the high beam on for it, or have it running always.
But tight to put more stuff on without a crashbar, something I refuse to install 😬
